Score from 381 reviews Very good
location quiet breakfast comfort service
The room and bed were very comfortable. The hotel has a lovely courtyard with many plants. The staff are helpful and friendly
The acoustics were bad at times. Some guests were loud and their voices echoed a lot in spite if signs posted asking people to be quiet during sleeping hours
Huge rooms Hotel setting Friendly staff
A little pricey
Excellent complimentary breakfast Staff responded quickly to requests Lovely courtyard Friendly and accommodating staff Complimentary Coca leaf tea available at all times
Bed was uncomfortable Had to call front desk for heater to work Had to call front desk for hot water to work Only one-way free airport transportation
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious, clean and cozy. They are all well-equipped, with fridge, drinks, and chocolate. The breakfast is very good, continental style. The coffee could have been better, but it was hard to find really good coffee, particularly espresso, in Peru, so this is not apparently their fault. The staff is helpful and very polite, ready to propose tours only when asked (instead of being pushy like in other places in Peru), and to find solutions for any of your problems. This hotel is really a great place. Worth every penny. The location is very good, but it is at a steep street, 10 minutes from the Plaza de Armas. Although this is not really bad, for it makes you admire the nice streets of the city center.
Everything was fine.
Very pretty hotel, well situated, in an old charming house. Nice gardens, terraces and views. Great breakfast. Helpful staff.
Rooms are very different in size and views. Because of old floors you can hear noises from other guests.
Lovely hotel - great rooms, good location, grounds/ courtyards are very pretty. All staff were super friendly and made our stay pleasurable and hassle free.
Extra charge for hot tub
Very noisy - no double glazing; as a result, we did not get much sleep, with so much noise coming from the street all three nights. This is advertised as a high quality hotel, but the room was very small and shower temperature changed (was uneven) all the time.
Of all the hotels I stayed in during my trip (6), this was the best. No question. My daughter agrees. The people were helpful and concerned with our adaptation to the altitude. The breakfast was varied and copious. The desk organized taxis, including for the trip to Ollantaytambo. The site was close to the center, but far away enough to be quiet. I would recommend it with my eyes closed.
Great kingsize bed Heated rooms Private sauna Varried breakfast Taling care of details (water, earplugs,...)
Braking dogs at night
Very pretty hotel, with lots of charme and nice views. Breakfast is excellent. Location very good, close to everything.
As it's an old building, you can hear noises. Some rooms are better than others in terms of views. But these are minor details.
Near main plaza without all traffic noise. Clean rooms cute small hotel complex Staff is friendly, helpful, and coordinated including payment with the tour organizer. Left hotel for one day for Machu Picchu, stored luggage was waiting in new room upon arrival. Organized all transfers airport and train stations. All cars were waiting. Breakfast is excellent.
Do do inner courtyards, can be a bit of noise in morning as guests and luggage get moving even if being quiet. Not a big deal as we needed to get up too.
Great hotel, full of helpful staff in a central location, breakfast was perfect and being served from 5AM a bonus.
They were very accommodating to store luggage when we left the hotel. Breakfast staff very nice--egg whites no problem for omlette.
A few workers at front desk were very grumpy and gave misinformation about local area. Two were great and friendly-- Sergio and Naya. Francisco at front door also nice.
Beautiful hotel close to the action but it's configuration makes it very quiet at night. Public spaces decor fantastic and evocative. Very comfortable. Rooms not fancy but decent size and clean.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Staff was excellent
Room a little small.
Breaksfast was really good and the rooms were very spacious.
Had issues with the laundry service that they organised for us. All our clothes shrunk and discoloured. I know they do say they will not take responisiblity for this, but what laundromat call themselves professional but you still have to give instructions on how to wash each item of clothing otherwise they throw them all in hot water together. Its thier job - they should know
The warm doonas; the great buffet breakfast; reliable wifi; English news tv; free collection from airport; good tour organiser(Karina); central location to museums & restaurants.
No heating in breakfast room in the morning. Only intermittent heating in bedrooms at night.
Very cute hotel with a unique feel
A small distance from town center and walk up a hill, but that is reflected in a lower price. Overall, we liked this hotel.
The location made it very easy to get around in the city. It was quiet and the staff was helpful and friendly.
Location, staff, facilities, rooms and Modern computers available for guests.
Great service, beautiful courtyard, full breakfast
beautiful garden surroundings, great breakfasts even at 5 am
rooms could be a bit warmer but did provide good warm bedding
Good location Decent Bed
For $100 in Peru this was a real disappointment. -We were told we would be picked up at the airport. We weren't. -The bathroom door got stuck from the inside. -Doors to rooms have cracks under neither and walls are paper thin. No wonder quite hours are from 9pm-7am! -They charge extra for the gym/spa. $100 in Peru isn't enough for gym access? They are greedy -The free breakfast was pretty disappointing -Wifi was slow -The shower pressure/heat was inconsistent -We stayed 3 places in Peru. I positively reviewed the other 2 but this one was the worst by far and a terrible value.
Location and size of hotel gave smaller personal feel; staff very helpful; excellent wifi
