The personel was not always very friendly as we were used to it from our stay in northern Peru (except for Carina who picked us up from the airport). The breakfast as such is good with fresh fruits, fresh juices and very good bread. However, there was only one person working and very often there was quite a lot of used plates etc on the tables. On our second last day we saw that someone got eggs for breakfast - it was neither written somewhere nor did anyone ask whether we would like to have some. Also when one of the juices was finished and we asked for more, she said ok, but did not make any fresh juice.
It is a nice colonial style hotel. In our view it is worth going for a superior room, as the standard room we had first was very small. We changed to a superior room which was even larger and better after our return from the Inka Trail. It is located quite centrally and everything is in walking distance.
