The lady on duty, whose name is Yolanda or a name starting with Y, was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is right next to the main plaza, and between 3 and 4 stars in terms of facilities and cleanliness.

The wifi is not stable but this seems to be a general problem in Peru whenever it rains

Close to the main plaza. Clean rooms and helpful staff.

Cold with inadequate space heater. Water turned off and needed to be serviced. Breakfast started at 6am and tour pickup was at 6:05. Buffet not supplied with enough eggs.

Very nice hotel- very accommodating staff. There is always someone at the door/front desk. They set up a tour of Uros and Taquille and the shuttle picked me up at the hotel early the next morning. They also setup a taxi shuttle to the airport. All for a very reasonable price. Very good breakfast. I highly recommend this place.

very nice hotel/room with an accommodating staff willing to help wherever needed. Affordable for what you get. 5-10 minute walk to the main plaza. Very excellent breakfast. No complaints about this place!

I would prefer to stay in the San Blas neighborhood or closer to the plaza- though this location isn't bad!

Location was good, being near the main plaza. This is where the shops, restaurants and taxis are. But ...

Downside is the street noise. Maybe a room at the back is better?

    It was very clean.

They advertised that they had oxygen available, but they don't or at least had none on hand during the 3 days when we were there. The heater couldn't keep the room warm. There were large cracks around the windows admitting cold air. It was quite chilly at night, even in the middle of their summer season and since we were also suffering with excruciating headaches, nausea, and breathlessness from the altitude (since there was no oxygen available), the chilliness just added to our discomfort.

    Location, quietness.

Bed too big for room which made it too crowded with too much furniture which wasn't really usable.

Excellent location and staff. Always willing to help. Feels like there is a staff on every floor to help you. Great stay at great value if you are visiting Lake Titicaca. Very clean. Hot shower and excellent pressure...

I am extremely sensitive to noise. We were moved to a better location of the hotel. Worked out perfect!

    Friendly staff

Unbelievably noisy. Peruvian drivers drive with one hand on the horn and I was right on the very busy street. Quite stressful with all that noise. The water in the showers is lukewarm at best so don't expect a hot shower.

Nicholas at the Front Desk was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, cozy and quiet. Nice soft sheets and warm.

It would be nice to have some females working there...too much masculine energy.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting lake Titicaca. The hotel is located a few steps from the Plaza de Armas. It's a nice building on a (what looks to be) safe street. Rooms are on the small side and we had a bit of a trouble with fitting our big luggage (but it should be no problem for two normal backpacks). The bed is comfortable and we slept like babies. There is also a heater in the room but never felt the need to turn it on. Breakfast is basic but good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We also arranged airport transport with them (taxi) at a very good price (85 PEN).

I'd change the music played during breakfast. It's very touristy and gets boring in 3 seconds.

    Staff helpfulness!!

So cold!! Puno is cold. There was a small heater in our room, too small to conquer the heat. The staff brought in a bigger heater for a short period of time. Luckily there were warm blankets on the bed!

Sol Plaza has a great location just off the main plaza of Puno. The staff was impeccable and well trained. They helped us in big and little ways. The main plaza is next to a walking street filled with places to eat. Breakfast was large, with hot and cold choices.

The room was a little tired and there was a hat left from someone before us. The beds were a bit hard, but I always think that in other countries.
