We had a lot of trouble trying to find this hotel. Tandapata is a very long street, but that's not the hotel's fault. I will say the breakfast was pretty basic compared to some other hotels in the area.
The hotel's interior was beautiful and clean, and it was a very good value.

Small boutique like hotel Very well located The view from the hotel

This is probably nit-picking, but for 3 days and therefore 3 breakfasts, it was always the same limited spread- bread basket, 3 types of ham, avocado salad, 2 types of fruits and 1 type of cereal.
1) I loved that the room had a heater because Cusco gets cold! 2) Wifi was very good in my room. 3) I found Tandapata Boutique Hotel because I googled "modern hotel in Cusco" and loved the design of the hotel and room. 4) Design of the bathroom was great as well! 5) Location at San Blas meant that it's a little far (15 min walk) from the main plaza but still a pleasant area to walk around in.

Wi-fi would go in and out, so we'd call the front desk and they would promptly reset it.
Rooms were very clean and neat. Warm water with great water pressure. The toilet tissue smells like baby powder. :^) The location is in San Blas and easy to get to as it is to the right of the main water fall. There are nearby cafes, restaurants and bars. After a long day of traveling, it was nice to return to a safe, clean, quiet room. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. They got us a cab to the airport early in the morning (8-10 solas max). The breakfast was so nice with a lot of fresh fruit and juice.

Staff all very helpful. Rooms very clean and tastefully decorated and modern. Fantastic value for money and would thoroughly recommend.

Cant get a car right to the door, as its within the old quarter of the town with cobbled stoned narrow alleys Breakfast lacks cooked option
Location, finish quality of complex, layout of hotel, views available, staff

The internet down many times, especially at night time.
Great Location and nice hotel facility. The breakfast is good with lovely view from the restaurant.

Hot water was hit and miss for the shower. It might have been due to usage or time of day.
Beautiful room - clean, quiet, and comfortable. Firm beds and warm comforters. We slept well. The staff at Tandapata were all helpful, friendly, and attentive; the hotel manager arranged our airport taxi, which we greatly appreciated. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruits and juices, tasty cheeses and a memorable avocado salad, in addition to bread. Gorgeous view of Cusco from the hotel lobby and breakfast area. Conveniently located and in a scenic area, very easy to get to the center of town.

nice pictures of a view on the website, but the rooms have no view... that was the disappointing moment. Quite dark (but still nice designed) rooms... Sometimes not enough of hot water in the shower.
the breakfast, service, location and cleanlines was very good!

Nothing I can remember
Location - 5-10 min walk from main square. Close enough yet quiet enough Views over city from dinning room and reception but not the rooms Cleanliness Big rooms Good breakfast available from early am

Only one day I couldn't get any wifi... But that's a small issue.
Nice Breakfast with local food. Really tasty. Big rooms, nice wooden decor. Coca tea self service all day Clean Really good service from the people working there.

Loved the large spacious room (double suite I believe). The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was huge!

Nothing significant. Wifi was good on bottom level but very slow in the bed (upstairs). A bit of an uphill walk from the main plaza and to get there you have to be dropped off at Plaza San Blas, walk up the stairs with luggage and turn right and walk about 20m (on a walking street). Not a problem if you're young/fit. Room did not open up onto rooftop terrace as described by booking.com. Kept hitting my head on the low ceilings.
Brand new, pristine clean two story room. Hot water with good pressure in shower & abundance of towels. Heater on each level & spare blanket. Staff were excellent - spoke English & helped us print boarding passes at 11pm and the breakfast was very impressive (with a view of Cusco) and even included avocado, croissants, hams, cereals, yoghurt, fresh bread & juices. The courtyard was very nice. Some might find rooms lacking character (not cluttered) but I prefer things being clean.

I haven't taken shower two nights! They probably turned off the heater!

This is a lovely hotel which I would highly recommend. Staff are friendly, breakfast is good and the rooms are big, clean and comfortable. Wifi was a little slow at times but mostly fine. Organised taxi to the airport and also allowed us to store our luggage while we travelled away from Cusco. Highly recommended.

The lighting is *horrid*. STARK BRIGHT WHITE LED lamps which are both too bright (especially above the bed) and insufficient (very dim in the room at night) and the bathroom lighting will make you want to slit your wrists. Sound carries between rooms and the wall-mounted TV in your room will annoy your neighbor and vice-versa. Because of the architecture, every noise travels between units. The semi-loft arrangement (bed/tv/phone upstairs, bathroom downstairs) is treacherous in the middle of the night and generally annoying as it makes the downstairs portion of the room mostly useless.
Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful Ample hot water at high pressure Very clean Good location (but be prepared for uphill walk from Plaza de Armas) Plentiful delicious breakfast (no hot foods, but delicious cheeses, yogurts, guacamole and juices)

no windows facing outside but only at the stairs. I think it is common here though.
Excellent, very friendly stuff, good breakfast, nice decoration, lovely common areas. Just a few steps from San Blas, good restaurants and cafes.
August 23, 2014
No direct road access to the hotel, and there is no hotel name/sign out the front, just a blue wooden door. I didn't like that the area always felt empty of life at night, as a solo traveller that makes me nervous, but never had any problems. Just weary of the potential is all.
Good wifi! Fantastic heater!! A real benefit on the cold nights (don't pick a place without one!). Staff were lovely and looked after my pack while I was trekking the Inca Trail.
August 22, 2014
It was cold, even with the heater provided it was very cold.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was well appointed and the bed was comfortable Location is great for exploring Cusco

Amazing bed, spacious room. The best shower ever. Everything was new and perfectly clean. Good taste decoration. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of fruits and granola and it included avocados and tomatoes which is a great plus if you're vegan.
August 15, 2014
Breakfast is limited, could have more variety than bread and fruit
The place is great to stay more than one night, with great views and location. Close to town and staff is very friendly. good to chill out too

Only that when we wanted to stay longer they had no room. So no complaints at all.
The hotel is in lovely San Blas. Breakfast was fresh and the breakfast room has a lively view of Cusco. Staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are on different levels. Some look out over a ground floor courtyard, others on a shared walkway and there are a couple of rooms up on the terrace which gives sweeping views of Cusco, especially the spectacular sunset across the city.
