Wonderful service by the hotel staff from check-in to check-out
I didn't have a bad experience
We went to Cuzco and did the 4 day 3 night inca trail and returned to Cuzco to the hotel. It was the BEST shower of my life and the most comfortable bed after the trip. The staff is amazing. They were nice and extremely helpful. I give this hotel a 15/10!
Can be a tad noisy in the (early) mornings as most people staying are up and on their way trekking by 5am.
A lovely, small hotel with beautiful décor and helpful staff. Each room has a HUGE bed and a lovey, hot shower, truly perfect for a stay before/after trekking in particular. Nice and close to the main plaza, literally a few minutes walk. After staying here we also booked to stay at their sister hotel in Lima (Miraflores).
Very helpful staff!
Very friendly, helpful staff, always there to help in any way. Very clean, and welcoming environment. My room was superb, couldn't fault it in any way and would highly recommend it to others.
I just had an small issue with the dollars I brought. They were old (from the 80's) and they said they were not ok but they were accepted in Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes. Not a big deal though.
It's a beautiful, well conserved, well located, clean, no smell, no noisy, with a great king size bed, good shower, tv with a full set of channels (sports, news, cience, movies), with heater and some of them with a freezer. The breakfast is complete with yougurt, coffee, milk, fruits, breads, cakes, eggs, salsiches, jam, juicy, cheese and ham. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help and make you feel comfortable. The location for me was great as almost all the tours I made the bus get me in here.
Nice room. Very clean and modern
If you ever come to cuzco, you definitely have to stay here. The hotel is absolutely perfect and you will be happy as we were. The location is great, staff is friendly and the comfortable room is like a heaven. We miss it so much. Thanks to everyone in the hotel for their work.
Check out is 9am, but they had no problem letting us keep our room until 10:30 and then stored our bags in a locked room until later in the day.
The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs and they consistently went out of there way to ensure our comfort. The rooms were modern, simple and nicely appointed. The bathroom was also very modern (and quite large) with a gorgeous shower and unlimited hot water. The breakfast included a great selection of fresh fruits, breads, jams, cheese, yogurt, scrambled eggs, tamales and brewed coffee. We were there for 3-nites and were extremely happy with all aspects of the hotel.
Kitchen staff should pay more attention to breakfast supplies
Great front desk staff, especially Rafael
There was no shower curtain and the design of shower means water went all over the floor. Also due to the cold weather a towel rack would be good to help dry towels. Hot water not always consistent!
The thing I love about the Tierra Viva hotels is the large beds and lots of pillows. This hotel no exception. Our room was quiet which has been a challenge throughout our stay in South America. Heating a bonus. Complimentary drinks. Early breakfast so you can eat before heading out to Machu Picchu.
Nothing. We tried internet at several hotels and restaurants in Cusco--none of them are up to the task of morning rush hour! It at least worked relatively consistently.
We stayed at several Tierra Viva's on our 18 night holiday in Peru and Saphi was the best of the bunch. Great location meant that it was not to loud at night (request a room in the back section), but within 5 minutes walk to Plaza de Armas. Rooms were immaculate, spacious and intelligently designed. Modern bathrooms meant consistent hot water and water pressure. Internet was slow, but that was the same everywhere in Cusco. The night staff was not as friendly as the day staff, but all were helpful. Breakfasts had not only eggs, sausages, several flavors of yogurt and juices, but had an assortment of breads, and nice assortment of Peruvian fruits as well as the usuals--like pepino and cherimoya!
Breakfast could be a little different than the same thing everyday.
The only thing that bothered me was for a little bit on the first night I could hear dogs barking outside for awhile but this was not an issue every night. This will occur no matter where you stay in Cusco though.
The hotel is in the perfect location and is a nice "vacation" from the other types of Hotels and apartments we stayed in throughout Peru. Breakfast was excellent (Allergy friendly for Celiacs & Gluten Free friends) They have Coca tea and coffee and another altitude sickness tea besides the coca one always fresh and hot and free for all hotel guests in the lobby. They also have fresh coca leaves in the lobby for free as well. The hotel is comparable to staying in a Hilton, the bathrooms have toilet seats and 5 star appeal with beautiful showers and sinks and floors and is of high quality extremely clean and elegant in appeal and a blow dryer. They have something comparible to direct tv in each room and every day they bring you new towels, will change your sheets and two new large bottles of water. It's maybe a 3 minute walk to the city center with many restauraunts and shops all along the way. The hotel staff is super friendly, speaks very good english and is extremely helpful. They pick you up from the airport if you give them your flight itenerary information day and time while booking and will be standing there with a sign with your name on it to take you in a fresh nice car directly to the hotel. This was hands down the best hotel I stayed in while in Peru and I highly recommend this place. Also- when Llama Path picked us up before we hiked Machu Picchu- they picked us up at the hotel and waited for us in the lobby the morning of our Hike. They are the best company to use and I highly recommend you look them up!
i found the road leading to the hotel quite deserted at night. will probably stay at the tierra viva nearer to the main sq next time.
staff were v responsive and helped me organise a taxi from ollantaytambo to the hotel. very clean rooms, pleasant courtyard.
Internet was very slow, to the point that it was barely functional on the upper floor, especially in the evening.
Clean, friendly, decent location.
距离武器广场步行10分钟（三条马路 穷游2014锦囊上标的位置是错的 为另一家） 房间干净安静有暖气 洗澡舒服 ... 另外推荐武器广场西侧小巷里的韩国菜
