Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Reception girl met us and was extremely friendly. She showed me few rooms so I can pick up the one I prefer. The facility is super clean. Very comfy, relaxing and stylish. Want to go back!
Breakfast is very basic, but breakfast bread was tasty.
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Hotel arranged for taxi to collect us from airport and despite flight delay taxi wasthere
Price had been quoted in euro but hotel insisted on either sols or dollars at specified exchange rate.
Staff was very friendly. Beautiful building. Very clean. Very good shower, hot!! TV. Nice breakfast.
Sometimes poor wifi access.
Excellent location and the staff was very helpful in giving suggestions or directions to places in town.
WI-FI reception to our room kept cutting off, could be related to distance of the router to my room. Breakfast was very basic compared to other places I stayed.
Location. Also this hotel is actually Inca ruins.
Asked staff for extra pillows, did not receive them. Asked for wake up call, did not get it. Breakfast was from 0630-0830, it was always late.
The location was great. 10 minute walk to the train station. We found the room to be very clean. Staff was very helpful. This was the case throughout our stay in Peru. They made breakfast available to us before the designated times since we were leaving for mp.
My main issue with the hotel is that there was no heat in the room. Temp would drop to 55f/12c at night and although we could sleep comfortably under the warm and thick bed spread, getting out of the shower was terrible. We had to use the hair dryer to keep ourselves warm and warm up our clothes before putting them on because the room was cold in the morning. Wifi was also a bit spotty here and there. And as others have mentioned, the bathroom floor got a little flooded after a shower.
Clean, nice staff and cute place. GRA Eat location in between ruins and town center.
Breakfast was included but not good. We ate out instead.
Staff and grounds were great Nice quiet location
Tikawasi is literally steps from the ruins at Ollantaytambo! Its a well kept place run by nice people. Its a 15 minute walk down to the train station. They've got Direct TV so you can watch TV in English or Spanish - a bonus for our teenagers!
The breakfast here was minimal - you got one fried egg and some cut fruit and a piece of bread. This could definitely use improvement.
Location was fantastic to ruins and plaza, clean and comfortable, staff very helpful with tours and information and happily provided heaters when needed. Also did a good exchange rate. Decor is tasteful and sensitive to the original architecture. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and recommending this hotel.
Wifi was pretty much non-existent despite having five different connections - none of them worked hardly at all. Room 102 - original stonework in the bathrooms meant that the walls didn't sit flush and the room next to us was smoking in their bathroom and it filtered into ours annoyingly. Not exactly the hotel's issue but still a problem for us. We did let them know.
The area, close to the square and the train station
I had booked a double superior room with a garden view. I had specified a double bed. The room we were given had a very small double + one single with no garden view. When I went to the desk to enquire about this I was told that the room is superior as it "has a TV and heater which standard rooms do not have". The girl then asked if I could pay for my entire duration of stay there and then, bearing in mind I still had two nights remaining. I found that to be quite rude as her tone implied she was unsure if I would pay later as I queried the room. I did pay on check-out.
nice, clean room with beautiful views of ruins. helpful staff found tour of sacred valley, pick up from airport at reasonable price. 10mn by foot from train to Macchu Picchu, kept luggage. great location, safe and quiet. breakfast ok.
It's convenient in location, the staff are lovely and helpful, the rooms are nicely furnished. Breakfast was good also.
If you are just overnighting between bus and train you need to go up and down a hill. Even though it is a cold place they have no heating, and not even a small heater to use if you ask for it.
Staff, location, comfort.
Very accommodating, they watched our bags while we spent a few nights in Machu Picchu. Great location for visting the ruin in Olly
Location isn't easy to find, and need to carry your own bags there
They served a good breakfast with fresh fruit , toast and eggs, juice and coffee.
The sheets were torn, beds sagged into the middle.
Very beautiful boutique hotel, nice decoration. 5 minutes walk to the ruins.
The staff and the location of the hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean and the lodge itself is a beautiful quaint place. They were very flexible and easy going - allowed us to check in hours before scheduled check-in times and leave our backpacks overnight after we checked out and pick them up next day on our return from machchu pichu. They have a simple breakfast - nothing fancy but enough to get you fueled up for the day. I highly recommend their lodge if you are visiting ollyataytambo.
The staff was very courteous. Breakfast was fresh, simple, and nice. The hotel was very clean and located close to the train station. We felt very safe there. We definitely felt like we got our money's worth! Thank you.
Internet was DSL speed....Nothing over 1MB, but pretty fair for country like area. You can also hear almost everything people said; having said this, it didn't bother us because we were so exhausted with our excursions.
Very kind and humble people, providing excellent service in a real Inca village(pueblo Inca viviente).
Great staff and location. Clean and lovely setting.
The garden, location
Rooms are disappointing compared to the pictures on the site.
Good, quiet location. Close to the train station. Very flexible with the breakfast serving time. We needed to get up early to catch the train, but serving us breakfast before the official time was no problem.
Close to train station and ruins
My room was right in the middle of corridor where you can hear everything and everyone can look inside your room. Cold inside. The mentioned wi-fi is non-existing. I couldn't upload any site.
