Location was around the corner from the ruins and really close to city center.

Rooms were comfortable but some did not have TV.

Excellent location, close to the ruins and near to downtown. Ollataytambo is a very small village, with a Central Plaza where you can eat and walk.We had to wake up very early, 4 in the morning, and the staff provided us a good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Cozy hotel inside the town and close to the ruins. Clean and large rooms. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Secured parking (at a yard few blocks away).

Intermittent Wifi. Not accepting Mastercard. Charges a fee of 5% if paid at the hotel by Visa (instead of at booking.com).

We left our luggage before we go to machupicchu. When we check in the hotel carried our luggage into our third floor room.

    Sheets are thin, not cotten.

I made a mistake for our first night and we ended up with no room. The owner manage to find us a room at another hotel to help us and incited us to come back in the morning for the breakfast. This is representative of the service and great staff that work there.

Quite a charming place to stay. Stone walls are a very nice feature. Breakfast was good, staff quite friendly but not English-speaking. Good price and location.

I didn't like the fact of awfully dirty floor, lack of real window in the room (window to a dark yard on a ground level, so we had to keep curtains closed). What's more you can hear every single word from the next room while in toilet.

Hotel was a bit hard to find for being in a small village and had to drop our bags off and then the hotel staff assisted with parking our car in a lot nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful and rooms were unique with rock walls ; adequate for 1 night. We couldn't get the TV to work and after the staff made several attempts to connect to the cable they still couldn't get it to work so we gave up. The breakfast was a little sparse but adequate. The inside of the hotel was nice even though it was on a very small alley in the village. From what I saw in the village this was probably as good as any place to stay for the money. Not a lot to do here other than tour the ruins and maybe start the hike to Machu Picchu so wouldn't waste a lot of time in this village, just use as a stopover or a 1 night stay just to see the area or if you are going to use as a base for hiking. Used the computer and internet in the lobby and it was fine.

Room was OK but couldn't get the TV to work.

Very comfortable beds, helpful and friendly staff, quiet location, beautiful views! We'd definitely recommend this place

Very small rooms (not much space for luggage), fairly average breakfast.

I liked its courtyard, and the feel of being inside a little village. I liked that the hotel offered secured parking for our rental car. The parking inside a farmer's yard next to the large parking for the tour buses. A staff would take the key and lead you to the yard even when it's quite late like we did after visiting Machu Picchu.

The wifi could work better. We had some disconnection issue. We had to switch between routers to continue.

Friendly, helpful. Comfortable clean rooms and beds. The breakfast was fine; fruit, juice, cereal, yogurt, coffee, and eggs fixed to order. They were accommodating with providing a bag breakfast when we had to leave early to go to Machu Picchu.

Internet is spotty, although this was common throughout Peru. The walls are thin and other people staying there were not always quiet and understanding that some people go to bed early to get up and catch the train to Machu Picchu.

Location was great! Close to the ruins, train station, and plaza de arms. Staff was great. Rooms were clean but there was one bed without clean sheets. We just slept in the other bed. Great hot water pressure and the hair dryer came in handy.

    Bed with dirty sheets.

Beautiful setting. Lovely town and friendly people. Made to feel very welcome. Hotel staff went out of their way to book our trip to Macchu Picchu. The hotel uses a very good local taxi company for transfers to/ from Airport etc. Ask for Enrique. Very knowledgeable and friendly( Good driver too)!! Would reccommend. Thankyou for making our holiday so enjoyable.

As we stayed at the hotel for 10 days , the noise from inconsiderate guest neighbours began to wear us down. It would be perfect I think for backpackers/ people moving on after a night or two. The rooms are arranged in such a way that the bathrooms seem to back onto each other, meaning that you can hear everything from the adjourning bathroom as if they are in your own bathroom. Very irritating. May sound picky, but we found it annoying. Sorry! Wi-Fi very poor, but I think that's generally the case here

The staff, the location, the heating in winter was excellent. Had a TV and it worked well. You can buy water at a very reasonable price in their lobby.

Dead flies in the bathroom ceiling that really weren't a bother but unappealing room was very clean and so was bathroom, and the wifi was horrible did not work for an entire 24 hours even though the staff was considerate and kept telling us to try one of their many networks that also did not work.

Great location handy to train station. Clean and tidy with good breakfast. Nice courtyard and beaut view from our room of the ruins in the surrounding hills.Helpful staff. Recommended.

Found a metal staple in my cereal. Thankfully it was not swallowed, was spat out and given back to staff. Only glitch in an otherwise great stay.

A very nice, updated hotel at a reasonable price. Everything about this place is lovely: the facility, the cute courtyard, the staff, the service, the breakfast that was included in the price. We had stayed at another nice hotel in Ollantaytambo that we also loved prior to our stay here. The only difference is that Tikawasi Valley seemed to have newer/more modern furniture & fixtures: the building, the bed, the comforter, etc (the other hotel had more of a cottage feel, which was nice & comfortable as well).

A bit remote from plaza, thus quiet, very nice setting and garden, breakfast buffet was "updated" even before finishing time

At breakfast, too many people slowed the somewhat overtaxed staff, helped ourselves with knifes an butter etc. from other tables

Lovely rooms, excellent shower. Good location, right at the foot of the town's main ruins but hidden enough to be private. Staff were helpful, and even allowed us to leave our luggage for 2 full days without charge as we headed to explore Machu Picchu.

The staff were excellent and very accomodating. Breakfast included eggs, fruit, ham, cheese, yogurts etc. Provided a room to leave luggage in, and for baby to sleep in, after check out. Nice garden area and very close to the market and inca ruins.
