Rooms were clean, decorated nicely, and the beds were very comfortable. The courtyard was quiet and the flowers/garden were beautiful. The photos do not do this place justice. They also stored some luggage while we did an overnight to Machu Picchu. Its a good location - only a 7- 10 minute walk downhill to the train station. Staff was excellent.
We stayed 2 nights with a stay at Machu Picchu in between. The 1st night we stayed we had an inner courtyard room and it was quiet. The 2nd night we had a street side room. We heard everyone coming & going and on the street. Breakfast was basic (which is fine) but you might want to head to one of the many close coffee shops - especially if you want a good cup of coffee. Also the cobblestone street is not great for roller-bags if you have one and the narrow street not the easiest for a car taxi if you arrive that way. Just fine for one of the mototaxis though.
Everything was at its best, including the pleasant and willing to help stuff . I will definitely have friends or maybe even myself visiting the place in a feature . Job well done guys. All the best to you .
Easy to find. Short walk from the bus area. Short walk to Ruins. Walking distance to train, although we hopped a 3 wheel taxi in the early morning. Breakfast was out early and was ok.
Asked us to pay in cash. No English spoken at check-in during the morning. Our double room had 3 beds in it, so there wasn't a chair or even any room for our bags.
Sacred Valley, hotel located near the center of town, but not right on the noisy main square. Stone walls, which appear to be part of the ancient Incan ruins, compose the walls of the room. Nice size rooms, and clean modern bathrooms. WIFI, and cable TV The staff let us store our extra luggage while we went to Mach Pichu, which was really handy. Breakfast was included.
The room decoration. Late check out for free. Very romantic.
Cold rooms, cheap fan heater, poor breakfast
The beautiful room we got was very romantic.
Breakfast, cold inside the room.
design of the reception, location
very cold rooms, poor breakfast
Reception staff were good and helpful.
Impossible to find the hotel, hidden and not to be found on any maps. Plan well ahead and find out where it is exactly, including by calling reception to ask for directions if you are driving. Very noisy rooms - unable to sleep at all. Room was also very small, with almost no space to move around. Breakfast is not good, and kitchen staff are unfriendly. Two used (and shrivelled) shampoo containers and a half-rotting bar of soap were left in the bathroom - the room obviously was not cleaned well prior to our arrival. Plenty of hairs of different colours and texture everywhere in the room and bathroom - dirty room.
Location was around the corner from the ruins and really close to city center.
Rooms were comfortable but some did not have TV.
INTERNET NOT WORKING WELL
There is no information at all on Ollantaytambo. The toilet is smelly.
Excellent location, close to the ruins and near to downtown. Ollataytambo is a very small village, with a Central Plaza where you can eat and walk.We had to wake up very early, 4 in the morning, and the staff provided us a good breakfast. Highly recommended.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms.
The cleaning crew was a bit noisy in the morning.
Cozy hotel inside the town and close to the ruins. Clean and large rooms. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Secured parking (at a yard few blocks away).
Intermittent Wifi. Not accepting Mastercard. Charges a fee of 5% if paid at the hotel by Visa (instead of at booking.com).
We left our luggage before we go to machupicchu. When we check in the hotel carried our luggage into our third floor room.
Sheets are thin, not cotten.
I made a mistake for our first night and we ended up with no room. The owner manage to find us a room at another hotel to help us and incited us to come back in the morning for the breakfast. This is representative of the service and great staff that work there.
Quite a charming place to stay. Stone walls are a very nice feature. Breakfast was good, staff quite friendly but not English-speaking. Good price and location.
I didn't like the fact of awfully dirty floor, lack of real window in the room (window to a dark yard on a ground level, so we had to keep curtains closed). What's more you can hear every single word from the next room while in toilet.
Hotel was a bit hard to find for being in a small village and had to drop our bags off and then the hotel staff assisted with parking our car in a lot nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful and rooms were unique with rock walls ; adequate for 1 night. We couldn't get the TV to work and after the staff made several attempts to connect to the cable they still couldn't get it to work so we gave up. The breakfast was a little sparse but adequate. The inside of the hotel was nice even though it was on a very small alley in the village. From what I saw in the village this was probably as good as any place to stay for the money. Not a lot to do here other than tour the ruins and maybe start the hike to Machu Picchu so wouldn't waste a lot of time in this village, just use as a stopover or a 1 night stay just to see the area or if you are going to use as a base for hiking. Used the computer and internet in the lobby and it was fine.
Room was OK but couldn't get the TV to work.
Very attentive and accommodating staff. Rooms were very nice and the setting was beautiful.
very clean,few noise
wifi only in the first level
Very comfortable beds, helpful and friendly staff, quiet location, beautiful views! We'd definitely recommend this place
Very small rooms (not much space for luggage), fairly average breakfast.
I liked its courtyard, and the feel of being inside a little village. I liked that the hotel offered secured parking for our rental car. The parking inside a farmer's yard next to the large parking for the tour buses. A staff would take the key and lead you to the yard even when it's quite late like we did after visiting Machu Picchu.
The wifi could work better. We had some disconnection issue. We had to switch between routers to continue.
Friendly, helpful. Comfortable clean rooms and beds. The breakfast was fine; fruit, juice, cereal, yogurt, coffee, and eggs fixed to order. They were accommodating with providing a bag breakfast when we had to leave early to go to Machu Picchu.
Internet is spotty, although this was common throughout Peru. The walls are thin and other people staying there were not always quiet and understanding that some people go to bed early to get up and catch the train to Machu Picchu.
Location was great! Close to the ruins, train station, and plaza de arms. Staff was great. Rooms were clean but there was one bed without clean sheets. We just slept in the other bed. Great hot water pressure and the hair dryer came in handy.
Bed with dirty sheets.
