We had a nice big room, with a good size bathroom. Shower was good, breakfast was more than adequate, and the location was ideal. Staff was very welcoming and helpful!
No elevators while coping with the altitude can be tough.
General look good-
Staff unavailable - place unattended most of the time- very ordinary breakfast- TV did not work and had no remote when we arrived- no bathmat- room was not quaint as shown in pictures( some are)
Location: close to town but quiet Comfortable, spacious room Comfy bed Attractive design and great views
Wifi was intermittent and often non existent.
The location is tucked away from the main hubbub. It has a wonderful garden area. The rooms are real gems with art and stone. Best place we have stayed since arriving in Peru a week ago.
Very comfortable, wonderful bath products and within walking distance to everything. They also let us leave our bags.
Stayed here for my boyfriends birthday and so glad we did. The rooms we had were spacious and the beds really comfortable. Also the shower was fantastic. Is it wrong to have 5 showers in 24hrs? Breakfast was filling with cereal yogurt fruit eggs and bread and really good coffee. The internet was intermittent but good enough. They let us store our bags while we checked out the ruins before for our afternoon train. Overall a great hotel choice in this beautiful little town.
Cute little rooms with nice comfy beds. Only a short walk to the main square and not too far from the train station. There is a lovely little garden outside in the main area with chairs to relax in.
The walls are paper thin, so if your neighbours are up, you hear everything! The heater in the room didn't work (not a big deal) and getting hot water from the shower was a bit difficult.
Receptionist is very friendly and helpful. Staff were nice. Location is central but away from noise. Lovely court yard. Hot shower. Stored out luggage.
WiFi stopped working in room but OK in reception. No safe. Lack of tourist info.
Nice hotel, with breakfast. Location is good. nice design hotel.
ask additional 5% for paying with Visa card.
Great location near ruins; near markets and 2 min walk to Main square; easy 8 min walk downhill to train station; beautiful gardens. Full breakfast of usual fare. Mini store opposite hotel but buy bottle water from hotel- it's cheaper!
Hated the bed sheets (felt like nylon and would not stay on bed). They rationed out the toilet paper, never left a spare roll so having stayed there 4 nights had to constantly ask for more.
Very pleasant stay compare with the price. Definitely I will come back again.
Unique hotel in a beautiful village. Nice size rooms. Well decorated and very clean. Incan walls are impressive. Staff very helpful. Early breakfast available for the early trains to Machu Picchu.
Our main issue was noise. We could hear other guests around the whole hotel (reception, communal areas...bathrooms...) and knew that they could hear us. Remember to leave your room key at reception if you are staying for longer than one night, otherwise your room won't be serviced!
Really beautiful hotel! Great and helpful staff who speak english, clean, safe, good breakfast, just a great place in general.
Wifi could have been better.
Proximity to the historical site, town and train station
Breakfast is rather simple
Great location, great staff and clean accommodations right at the foothills and a few minutes of walk from the main square.
I loved the stay at this location. Everything was kept very clean and as throughout Peru, staff helped with all needs promptly and courteously. Just around the corner you can step into the ruins and textile market. A small walk takes you into the square or down cobblestone streets. I loved Ollantaytambo and Tikawasi Valley. Difficult to locate, but don't let that deter your stay . . . you will enjoy your time here.
Difficult to find the location as there are not markers that give direction. If walking from the train station, once you reach the main street at the "T" turn left over the foot bridge and past a few shops. If you look to the left down the street, you will see a sign for Tikawasi directing you.
Overall a nice place to stay
The location is good, close to the ruins and the main square. The room was enough good with a large bed and a hot shower. The breakfast was really good too.
Nothing in special to say.
Good location although ollantaytambo is a small village so everything is close. Price for stay is also reasonable and the staff is glad to do extra mile to meet your requirements. Overall it is a lovely guesthouse.
Wifi is available only at the reception and breakfast room ..it is good that they mention it in their profile. My room was on the second floor and it was indeed quite small however I rarely stayed inside and the size didn't really matter to me. Also be ready to pay additional 10 soles per night for heater if you stay in single room.
The staff is very kind and helpful. The lodge is quite new, or just renovated. The location is very good for getting to the train station - less than 10 minutes walking. Wi-Fi is free and it works. There is a very nice courtyard with flowers.
The hot water was only warm, it felt a little cold when having a shower.
Rooms were clean, decorated nicely, and the beds were very comfortable. The courtyard was quiet and the flowers/garden were beautiful. The photos do not do this place justice. They also stored some luggage while we did an overnight to Machu Picchu. Its a good location - only a 7- 10 minute walk downhill to the train station. Staff was excellent.
We stayed 2 nights with a stay at Machu Picchu in between. The 1st night we stayed we had an inner courtyard room and it was quiet. The 2nd night we had a street side room. We heard everyone coming & going and on the street. Breakfast was basic (which is fine) but you might want to head to one of the many close coffee shops - especially if you want a good cup of coffee. Also the cobblestone street is not great for roller-bags if you have one and the narrow street not the easiest for a car taxi if you arrive that way. Just fine for one of the mototaxis though.
Everything was at its best, including the pleasant and willing to help stuff . I will definitely have friends or maybe even myself visiting the place in a feature . Job well done guys. All the best to you .
Easy to find. Short walk from the bus area. Short walk to Ruins. Walking distance to train, although we hopped a 3 wheel taxi in the early morning. Breakfast was out early and was ok.
Asked us to pay in cash. No English spoken at check-in during the morning. Our double room had 3 beds in it, so there wasn't a chair or even any room for our bags.
Sacred Valley, hotel located near the center of town, but not right on the noisy main square. Stone walls, which appear to be part of the ancient Incan ruins, compose the walls of the room. Nice size rooms, and clean modern bathrooms. WIFI, and cable TV The staff let us store our extra luggage while we went to Mach Pichu, which was really handy. Breakfast was included.
The room decoration. Late check out for free. Very romantic.
Cold rooms, cheap fan heater, poor breakfast
