The taxi didn't show up to get us at the airport as planned. We ended up having to carry our luggage up from plaza de armas, which is steep especially for those not accustomed to the altitude. The staff was apologetic, and arranged several other successful cab setups throughout our 6 day stay:
Staff was super helpful. Breakfast was tasty. We stayed in room 15 (a deluxe) and couldn't have been happier!

On the other hand, our room was cold and the heater did not work. The big windows of our room overlooked the main hostel area so we really needed to keep the curtains closed at all times to have some privacy. Also, our bathroom door lock closed a few times and the door key we had did not work with it so we had to call in for help to be let into our own bathroom (at 2 in the morning whilst feeling unwell) – a bit annoying.
Tika Wasi is a very pretty hostel with stunning views of Cusco, located in the historic centre of the town. The staff working at the hostel were incredibly nice and helpful, providing exceptional customer service. Overall, the price was fair and I would recommend the hostel.

Although good tge location is hard to access by cab as the streets are really narrow, but overall i loved my stay here
Great location in San Blas, the artistic quarter, it even had vegan/vegeterian restaurants at a walkable distance from the hotel! And as you will find out travelling in Peru, it can be challenging to be vegeerian as the cuisine has lots of meat. We ate at the green point, amazing food! About the hostal its really cute, with inside gardens, free tea and coca leaves for altitude sickness, attentionate staff 24 hr at reception, comfy matrimonial suite with lots of room and even an additional bed with newly renovated bathroom. And we had a great view from our window of cusco!

The wifi only works in common areas.
The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They gave information about sights and places to eat in Cuzco, and organized a taxi for us from Cuzco to Ollantaytambo. The location was great and the breakfast was delicious.

We were put on the first floor and couldn't sleep because people were coming and going late in the night. Also the bed was too old and soft. We had back pains after a few days.
The building is beautiful. Good view from the court yard.

The staff was excellent, very helpful and the place is clean and beautiful, about 3 blocks up from the main square. I highly recommended.

friendly staff, cleaniness, lovely gardens, washroom was great

Common are a bit cold to sit for a longer time. Breakfast had too few healthy options to my taste, and no option for people who have to leave really early (and I think many people generally have to leave early once in their stay in case of visiting macchu) piccu)
Loved the bed and the common areas including the garden. Staff was helpful, we could leave our stuff during our macchu piccu adventure. Free tea all day

I was upset with staff. I was not aware they assisted with taxi service for pick up at the airport. I was ripped off by the cab driver and they were aware of the cost and interaction and did not advocate for me at all when I was trying to reduce the price. This driver took us to his travel agency on the way to the hotel which wa quite clear to your staff. For the cost of the hotel it was not worth it.
Room had a beautiful view

We had a twin bed and got a ground floor dark cold room. Maybe the double bedrooms are nicer. The bed I had was extremely soft and bent you in half - although I strangely had some good sleep in it! The sheets and duvets and blankets were clean and quite new.
Location was nice and you can sit outside and enjoy the view if it is sunny. The decor is nice with some pretty features.

Everything perfect, comfortable and very clean.

On Christmas Eve, my kid and I get there pretty late. We waited for 30 minutes for the staff to wake up and open the door. My kid was thinking we were going to sleep at the plaza if they didn't open! :) people should get a key for the outside door for after hours.
Staff was great, location was great and the hostal was great. Really comfy. My kid loved it. Would highly recommend. Close to the plaza as well.

Many rooms have no windows - which we were first given on arrival (also included a cot for a baby...). They did give us another room which was better, but beware when booking. Checking out took about half an hour and was a bit of a disaster for the hotel as there were many people checking out at the same time to go to the airport. Be warned and sort your bill out the evening before. Just up the road is where the "rubbish" collection is made and there was often a big pile of refuse bags to walk by, with dogs!
Nice gardens, bit of a quirky layout. Decent breakfast.

Location, location, location. San Blas is the historic district of Cusco. You will find a whole street of shops on the way to the beautiful main square. Tika Wasi itself is a quaint little hotel with all the basic comforts of home. The courtyard is a nice nook. The rooms have unique designs though the beds are a bit hard. The breakfast is light but enough. Staff is very friendly and acts fast on requests.

It's an uphill climb to get to the hostel - it can be particularly tiring if you are returning from Inca trail or a similar hike. Hire a cab from Plaza de Armas if necessary - it should just cost 5 soles.
This is a great hostel with superb amenities.
