Score from 260 reviews Excellent
The room was clean and we had a heater in the room.
In a city where tourists are coping with altitude, why put the dining room on the 5th floor of a hotel with no elevator? Breakfast was ordered to our rooms because of this. Hotel not close to the square at all. In fact, it's in the automotive part of the city. Did not enjoy the stay here at all.
Very friendly caring hosts< I would go back anytime
The immediate area is not touristy, however did not feel at all unsafe, only a 15 minute walk to Plaza de Armas
-Excellent staff -Clean room and bathroom -Hot water -Heater in room -not far from Plaza de Armas 5-10 minute walk -Free taxi from airport -Good Free breakfast
-The staff was very attentive and always went out of their way to help you with a smile -Clean room and bathroom -Heater in room -Walkable to Plaza de armas -Good free breakfast -Great value for the money -I would definitely stay here again
Service was excellent. The staff was very helpful!
- 7 minutes from the airport; - hotel payed for our taxi to airport; - water price sold in the hotel was fair; - breakfast was ok.
- we had much better hotels in Cusco for the same price! - the shower was horrible! You need to wait at least 3 minutes with the water falling to become hot. It was really hard to control the water temperature and suddenly the water could become really cold and take you another 3 minutos to make it hot! - the wi-fi connection was bad.
Great room full breakfast helpful staff
Road noise heavy to about 10 but after ok. A little out of town in a moter spare parts area No close restaurant
The customer service could NOT be better!! The hotel offered to pick us up from the airport free of charge, safely guarded our many suitcases while we trekked to Machu Picchu for 4 days, and then transported us once again to the airport at 4am, free of charge. Excellent customer service, lovely hotel and a bit off the beaten path so that you can get to know a bit of Cusco that is not the tourist Centro. Thank you Hotel Unumizu!
The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. It almost hurts to give my honest review. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious.
It's on a busy street full of auto repair shops. You can hear cars from your room and smell strong fumes when you walk outside (but the fumes smell is throughout Cusco). The shops have pictures of half naked girls hanging. Constant cars beeping. A guy with a fruit cart would ride around talking on his bullhorn; incredibly annoying. It's at least a 15 minute walk to Plaza de Armas or 15 soles to get a cab. (WARNING: I was given 10 soles of FAKE money by a cab driver when I got dropped off at this hotel.)
Good value Very friendly staff Free taxi to airport
The staff was so friendly, and room was clean. The breakfast was included, and it was very good. The main square (Plaza de Armas) was only a short 10 minute walk or S5 taxi ride, and it was easy to get around everywhere. It was also a short 5 minute walk to the bus that goes to Pisaq. They also held our bags for us while we hiked the Inca trail, and had our bags waiting in our room when we got back after the 4 day trek. I enjoyed this hotel very much, and thought I received a great value for my money.
It would have been nice if there was central heat, but they provide space heaters which worked very well, so not a big deal. Also there wwas no elevator, but the staff was so helpful getting the bags up and and down the stairs. I would also recommend request a room on floor 2-4, because if you stay on the 5th floor you will have to listen to the noisy breaskfast traffic in the morning (from the 6th floor).
So noisy could not sleep
Clean and good breakfast.
Noise surrounding the hotel did not allow you to sleep. Would not stay there again. Ridiculous situation.
The staff at the Unimuzu Hotel went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. They were incredibly friendly, kind and more than helpful. They set up taxis for us, helped us with directions, and even offered to let us keep our luggage stored at the hotel for free while we took a short trip to Machu Picchu. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It was a wonderful experience!
Clean, great breakfast, value, helpful staff, coffee and tea served all day.
Location was in the middle of motorcycle repair/auto parts street. Noisy and not pretty neighborhood.
Their front desk staff acted as my concierge.his patience with me was RESPECTFUL.i had soriche which was altitude sickness. He had my meals sent to my room, made my many phone calls for me. He went out of his way for me because I was demanding in a polite way.
The location was in the auto mechanics area. It was very hard to find retaurants. I had to take inexpensive taxi rides to be in the town center. The breakfast room was on the fifth floor. There were no elevators or escalators. I told him I was skipping breakfast due to my difficulty climbing up. (He sent my breafast to me for the 3 days I was there)
Service and staff were excellent
