Great location and room had a nice overall view. Front desk Christian was very friendly and helpful. I didn’t get the young lady’s name but she was very nice as well. I’d gladly recommend and would stay there whenever I return to visit Trujillo again.

We spent only 2 nights here. The rooms are very basic and could use some upgrade. The bedroom that we were assigned had the ceiling paint coming off. It looked really bad.
Aside from that the room was spacious and was cheap.
They also offered free breakfast buffet for all their guests. That was unexpected but greatly appreciated.
The location was perfect for what we needed. Many restaurant choices within walking distance. The staff were nice but kind of serious. They front desk staff didn’t smile much. The lady in charge of replenishing the breakfast supplies seemed to enjoy her job and was super attentive. This may not be a big deal for many people but it does make a big impact on guests. I am not going to give them a less rating for this, but I just thought of expressing my real impression of the employees…
Overall we felt that we got a great dean for those looking a place with central location and breakfast inclusive.

Incredible archeology sites within 20 minutes by taxi: Chan Chan merits a visit of 2-3 hours, same for La Huaca de la Luna. It's more like a 2 hour drive to reach el Brujo, another amazing site. Trujillo itself has a really nice old town with a gorgeous cathedral, buzzing main plaza, and lively pedestrian streets. Good restaurants, especially Al Dente Trattoria. Outside the old town, San Andres is a pleasant residential area nearby. Huanchaco is a fun seaside town just a quick ride away. Uber is cheap and easy.

We were in Trujillo for 2 days, 3 nights which was about right . The archeological sites nearby are well worth it, the square is pretty, nice colors And architecture , and there are good restaurants. Definitely stay around the square. That said, I wouldn’t make a special trip here unless you are needing to stop on the way North or South or you are an archeology person. One day we went to Huanchaco which was a bit of a disappointment- very scrappy town , interesting sort of.. but honestly don’t expect a charming beach town . The surrounding area is depressing. We did see the classic boats near the pier and had high hopes for a restaurant “Big Ben” It had great 3rd floor views, was clean and pleasant service but the food and uninspired menu a bland disappointment. Prices were high for the area . We weren’t sure if the other restaurants were safe for Gringo stomachs ! No Uber , taxis are cheap . The Archeological museum run by the University in Trujillo is small but excellent -

It is a phenomenal city but there is a lot of crime and I think it best to only be out and about with a local citizen who knows when and where trouble is brewing. I loved the restaurants, the archeology sites, the ocean, the ancient buildings, Chan Chan, the booze, Pisces and on and on. I will return..

I would recommend, costal the sol hotel because safety, and all all personal has good customer services respectfully, trust general manager is good Mr Luis take care any error make his employee loved loved, breakfast loved
Centrally located from the town square. Like (really) all cities in Peru in town square has the historic cathedral, town hall, hotels, restaurants etc. Trujillo's cathedral is beautiful. My room (king size bed booked, ask for #207), had the portico wrap around balcony that you see in the picture on the second floor, was spacious and while not recently updated was clean and unique. Inner courtyard has a pool, didnt try it out (too cold).
Staff gave us a good welcome when we arrived and allowed us to check in a little early. Be aware that there is no lift so you may have to climb some stairs. The hotel is well-located less than ten minutes from the main square and the pedestrian streets. The shower was good - but see comment below about the weird connecting wall in the bathroom - as was the internet. Breakfast is good.
Martín is very nice and helpful. He took me to see the murals (a hidden gem in Trujillo) because I was short on time and helped me organize a tour for the day. He was very flexible and welcoming. The place is well situated in the center. Bed was comfortable.
Great location and room had a nice overall view. Front desk Christian was very friendly and helpful. I didn’t get the young lady’s name but she was very nice as well. I’d gladly recommend and would stay there whenever I return to visit Trujillo again.
Nice hotel I loved everything. Rooms were very comfortable. Jacuzzi was beautiful and I enjoyed the pool after I finished my tour. Food was delicious and pisco sour was yummy. Kind staff always there when you need help. I would definitely come back.
excellent location in Trujillo, 10 sol taxi ride to the centre, 10 minute walk to a large shopping centre, big apartment, two showers/toilets, washing machine, kitchen, fridge, massive TV, fast wifi, everything you’d need.
Excellent location with a beautiful lobby and great enclosed parking. Staff was friendly and helpful. They allowed us to use the property for parking during the day despite checking out early. Hotel has been upgraded.
A modern hotel in a quiet (for Latin America) and safe neighbourhood, about 15 minute walk to the center and with buses to Chan Chan/Huanchaco passing by. Comfy bed, good shower, great value for money.
Very good located place in a safe neighborhood near Plaza de Armas of Trujillo. Comfortable room for the price and owner Oscar is friendly and can help you with visiting local gems. Recommended!
