You could leave there your extra stuff which you did not used for the trip to Machu Picchu
The hostel is really very simple for the price requested.
Good location, close to train station and bus station. Host met us at the train station and escorted us to the b&b.
Allowed us to return for a shower after we had visited Machu Picchu but charged us 15 soles each.
The staffs are nice.
Water in the shower is not hot and strong enough
Very convenient location, lovely room and friendly staff.
A bit pricey. It's a lovely option that you can have a breakfast from 5am. When we were offered it to be packed and taken out we thought that it is a brilliant idea, however when we opened it in Machu Picchu we were greatly dissappointed. Very basic sandwich (burger bun + slice of cheese), a questionable banana etc. For the price paid you would expect something decent.
good location, comfortable room, friendly staffs, the breakfast is nice. They also package a breakfast for us in the early morning before we go to Maccu piccu.
This was a well priced private suite accommodation (priced similar to a share hostel) very close to the Rail Station of Aguas Calientes (only 1 min walk). I made an effort to speak Spanish to the hotel manager, and she was very friendly in return. She also did not charge the dates www.bookings.com committed me to the payment of (because of late advising of less nighs' stay), but only for what I stayed. (Whilst she was within her legal right to charge the extra.) Very honest.
The Street address is very noisy. Not what I hoped for on a meditation retreat... Behind the building there is a public school with loud megaphone transmissions during the day, and football matches (with audible ball kicks and whistle blows) till 10:30 at night. From the other side of the building I could also hear the loud nightly voting campaigns. Not a serene place. Also, the breakfast was bare and simple.
Location convenient for MP bus
No wifi in the room - although it was advertised as offering wifi in all rooms! Apart from the young guy in the reception who was very polite, the older man and woman were very unfriendly, never smiled or seem to be offering any customer service. The price is too high for what it offers
Good location close to train station 3 minutes and Bus 5 minutes.
Cold showers two mornings in a row
The receptionist was great and spoke good English. The breakfast was good and included scrambled eggs in addition to bread and jam. The location was also great, away from the train tracks, right by the market, and 10 minutes from the hotsprings.
The pillows and beds were completely flat with no spring to them. The bed cover of my twin kept snapping back up while I was going to sleep and while washed, there was a questionable stain on the comforter. Definitely ask to stay in the top rooms if you can and not the ground floor, which opens up to the common room.
The property was very close to the train station.
Outside the bedroom window a musical band played loud music into the early morning. It was impossible to sleep.
Location and view.
We thought staff were a bit offhand, and price a bit high
Perfect position, a few minutes walk away from both train station and the stop of buses for Macchu Picchu.
A bit overpriced compared to all other structures we've been in Peru, but it is part of some "Macchu Picchu effect" on prices.
Spanish and English speaking staff, quiet and very clean rooms, american breakfast (bread, eggs, jam, banana, butter, tea or coffee) from 5 am included, close location to the centre, bus and trainstation.
Heating, hot water for showering and tea on request, staff conditional friendly
very nice staff, dedicated early morning breakfast.
wifi is only available in the lobby and they don't accept credit cards.
Really helpful staff - we were met at the station and escorted to the hostel which would have been a bit tricky to locate - we hadn't asked for this - we received an email telling us that we would be met. It was clean, comfortable and ideal for a short stay visiting MP. The staff overall were extremely helpful. Our breakfast was made specifically for us so very fresh. They took care of our bags and gave us access to a room to freshen up after check out and before we had to leave for the train. The price was very fair.
Nothing - it was much better than we had expected for the price we paid.
You get what you pay for. I'm glad we did this for $50 and not something that was only slightly better for $100. Great option that provides privacy, good breakfast and great location.
There was a wifi password but it didn't work
Good breakfast. Nice staff and very helpful. Comfortable bed with nice, clean rooms. 2 minute walk to train station and market place.
Water was not hot. Just barely warm.
The hotel was close to the train station (100 yards) when we got off and also close to the bus station to Machu Picchu (200 yards). There was a young man running the place. He let us keep our bags in the room after we checked out and made us breakfast in the morning. Great guy!
We were supposed to have someone waiting for us at the train station to take us back to the hotel. He never showed up and we had to call and have him come. Silly for us, the hotel was right around the corner. But when you expect someone to wait for you, it would be nice to have them there. Our hotel room was right next to the lobby and the window in the bathroom was there where you can hear everyone talk and I'm sure they can hear you do your business.
Very good staff, helpful, close to train station and bus to Machu Picchu
Typical place to stay one night. Has the basic stuff you need before going to machu picchu. A bed and a shower and thats all.
Expensive for a hostel. Our room faced a school so it was so damn noisy! We could not sleep at all. The breakfast is really poor, bring food so you can eat at machu picchu. Dont stay more than needed.
proximity to machu picchu
not great value for money, but thats the case with all accomodations in Aguas Calientes. The bathroom could use a better cleaning.
Gas was out while taking a shower. Only cold water for the shower.
Location was great, very helpful people.
close to the station they come pick up . we got there around 11 pm and it was great to have somebody waiting for you. they also kept our bags for us while we were at Machu Pichu.
The hotel kindly picked us up from the station although we arrived late in the midnight. Wifi was provided alongside with other basic facilities. Good location.
The hotel room could be cleaner and provide better facilities. Everything was pretty basic. We intend to take the first bus at 5.30am to go up to the MachuPicchu but breakfast was only ready by 5.30am. There are plenty of other hostels around and this is might not be the best value one.
