loved the place°
Its beau but at night you miss the air conditioning :)
I like all the lay out and design of the place. The rooms are all in front of the beach with a beautiful terrace. The view is beautiful. The swimming pool and restaurant with beautiful views too. The staff is really helpful and always asking if you need something .We were serve by Miguel. Y David they were excellent. The place it's really clean. It's very relaxing and safe. I went with my daughter 2 years old, my husband and my father 80 years old. And they all have good time. The food is nice and everything presented nicely . At night the swimming pool is illuminated with different colour. And the restaurant with candles what I thing was so romantic. I think the price was like $36 more that the top hotel we stay after.but yemaya was by far beautiful and special.
There is nothing that I didn't like. I may think that some people wouldn't like that is very close to the main road so you may hear lorry passing. It didn't bother me or my husband. My dad could hear some. The owner said it's a project to move the road further.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The Sea next to the bungalow.
Far away from everything.
Extremely friendly and delicious food! Delightful stay!
Spotlessly clean, super-relaxed and in spite of being nearly full (8 rooms only) there was never a crowded feeling around the pool/restaurant or anywhere in the grounds. Great pool (also for small children), very friendly and helpful. The design is brilliant with details clearly thought-through (including the slightly ecclectic Asian decor works well). The design focuses all your attention towards the paradise-like beach in all rooms and other areas (so there is no problem with the road which is surprisingly near, nor do you notice the dry hills behind). Perfect place for couples and families with small children to get away from it all for a while.
The beach has a few scattered rocks in front - but maybe that is a good thing, apart from adding background to the brilliant sunset photos, the rocks ensured that there is less building development (and there is a good option sandy 250m walk away) Constructive criticism: The food was consistently tasty but lacked some vegetables - nearly all dishes were a variety of (very well prepared) fish/chicken with rice/potato/yuca and a sauce, but just lacking a touch of green. But I assume the fairly remote location makes it harder to get vegetable, many others hotels are probably similar (and with less tasty meals than Yemaya). There was no internet - which one would really expect at the price (more expensive than most around here) - but we were informed of this prior to arrival, and actually helped us disconnect. If you really need to connect, apparently they can lend you an internet USB.
