Owners very friendly.They cook very well and hava a dinner in hotel with them is nice.High cuisine.Free internet and breakfast,beside beach.Good price.Better than stay in big chain hotel, if consider value for money.

Small with traditinal bungalows. Peaceful and relaxing. Lovely location on the lagoon. Attentive service and wonderful meals.

Fare Vaihere exceeded our expectations! Upon our arrival Corrine greeted us with chilled coconut waters. We were fortunate enough to stay in the beautiful beachfront cabin, Badamier" with private Bath, refrigerator and sitting area with couch and fan. Although there was no AC, we really didn't need it since the ocean breezes kept us cool and the mosquitos (that we read about) were non-existent. Our Host & Hostess, Phillipe & Corrine and their staff provided all our activities for our stay including bikes, kayaks and snorkeling equipment and were given coconut, pareo, lei making and octopus catching demonstrations. Snorkeling right in front of our beach was amazing! For a minimal fee, Phillipe scheduled dives and trips to feed the sting rays and sharks. Breakfast was always a treat and we had a wonderful 3 or 4 course seafood dinner with other guests prepared by Corrine & Phillipe (which you have to request in advance for a approx. $40 per person). Outstanding!! Our stay was perfect in every way due to the warm hospitality of our hosts.

Nice reef near the hotel, cheap accommodation, family atmosphere, possibility for diving in any time from hotel's private boat for reasonably money

You are right on the waterfront. bungalows were comfortable and very nicely decorated.

Not much beach, but there is a beach within walking distance

The location, the views and the staff

Lovely coconut and hibiscus drink welcome, an impeccably well run little group of pensions round a tropical garden with a reef just on the doorstep and lovely views of one of the bays. Philippe and Corinne bent over backwards to help us, loaning us snorkelling gear and bikes, organising an extra mattress for a bad back, hiring a scooter for us, organising transfers, phoning restaurants, doing our washing - you name it, couldn't have been more helpful. A great base on the more interesting side of the island for those travelling on a budget - and Corinne is a *fab* cook.

Philippe is quite a character, as happy-go-lucky arty types it took us a while to get used to his very dry ways, but by the end of the week we'd both really taken a liking to him, and his wife. There's no provision for lunch (cooking facilities etc), so you have to venture out to the adjacent 'snack' (Fifi's) - or hire a car or scooter, but that's not the end of the world. If you want to eat in with supermarket food or order a (very expensive!) pizza, the owners will lend you crockery and cutlery from their kitchen. The little shoreline is very picturesque, however it's not great for casual swimming as you're straight onto a reef (the sand stops almost immediately). Good for snorkelling though, my partner saw 3 sea turtles. Highly recommend checking out the public beach next door (a 5 mins scooter ride) - which is much more sandy and easy to relax on and was a great place to watch the sunset. Also the public beach next to the Sofitel (15 mins in a car or scooter) is just beautiful. Moorea is quite a place..
