Phillipe and Corinne were excellent hosts. They knew everything about Moorea - what to do, where to eat, and were extremely helpful to us in setting up our activities. Their bed and breakfast is right on the water, and some fantastic snorkeling is literally right outside the door.
We stayed at Fare Vaihere for 2 nights, rent scooter and boat with help from Philippe, explore the lagoon on our own and saved a lot! played with paopao(the dog) when we didn't go out, what a wonderful life, we were lucky as there was a cancellation before we arrived and Philippe gave us the bungalow with seaview, so book as early as possible if you want it
have to leave!
Very friendly and a perfect cook
The owners are very friendly and helpful and Corinne is an excellent cook. Beautiful seaview and good snorkeling in front of the hotel, .a pretty beach for swimming is close by.
Excellent position, staff incredibly friendly, excellent food
The owners Phillipe and Corinne we're fantastic in making us feel welcome and went the extra mile to make us comfortable and ensure we had the best time. Very knowledgable of the area, amazing food and had everything you need - kayaks, bikes, snorkels. Great snorkelling just off the shore, saw turtles, eels, rays the list goes on! We would definitely return!
No complaints at all.
We loved the location and the hospitality of the proprietors Phillipe and Corrinne. Greeted with a delicious Coconut drink on arrival. The breakfasts were delicious, refreshing and generous. We also enjoyed the time spent over dinner with the hosts and other visitors to their establishment. We walked to a little shop for supplies for nibbles and also enjoyed the little café or Snack next door. Great place to unwind. Very peaceful and relaxing. Lovely spot and exciting to see our cruise ship our in front before we boarded the following day.
Pity we were unable to use the pier to ease into the deeper waters, due to the storm damage . Transportation was a little unreliable but did not detract from overall tranquil surroundings. Lin & Kev. Beerwah,Queensland. Australia.
Location, staff, kayaks and snorkelling gear, bikes, coconuts, bungalows, the beautiful Tahitian weather!
Mosquitos and roosters...but not much anyone can do about these! Shop next door was hardly open.
We loved the location and the delightful hosts. Upon arrival we were greeted with a chilled coconut water & Flowers. Having a gourmet breakfast and dinner prepared for a reasonable fee was a highlight and so convenient. The caretaker JeanPaul gave us a fascinating coconut preparation demonstration in French and English. We felt so much like family by the time we left.
Philippe is a perfect host.
There is really nothing around.
Very clean room, near the sea where you can do snorkeling
Room too small for a family with old forniture. The place is far from the village so you have to rent a car to move outside. Dinner and breakfast very poor and expensive; everything was expensive for the level of the service. Owner not customer oriented
We loved everything! After the busy chaos that is air travel, once we stepped through the front gate on to the grounds it was as if the rest of the world was hundreds of miles away. The bungalows were cozy, comfortable, and perfect for two! Also, there are fruit trees everywhere on the property...don't sit under the palm trees. Philip (one of the owners) is a wonderful host with a fantastic sense of humor and also a great chef. The dinners are well worth the money! We really enjoyed our short (4 day) stay and were sad to leave!
Our only issue, which has nothing to do with Fare Vaihere, is that we did not come financially prepared for the island. It is expensive, 20,000 xpf will be gone in a day if you are not careful.
The owners were exceptional in every way, wanting to make our stay incredible
We felt like we stayed with the relatives. Philippe, the owner, took very good care of us.He was offering us all these exotic fruits from his garden. He recommended and reserved an excellent tours for us. We were being picked up and dropped off right from the prperty. I cannot call it a hotel, because it felt like home, not a hotel!!! The snorkeling right of the property was the best on the island.
Beautiful location, right on the water, access to kayaks and snorkels were free.
Perhaps wifi access in room, but that's not what you stay right on a beach for
Helpfulness of friendly staff, complimentary bicycles and kayaks, family atmosphere and the amazing snorkelling right in front of the fare (including the sea turtles!!)!
