Score from 5 reviews Wonderful
Marie-Claude and staff were wonderful to us, especially the unexpected dinner after a long day of travel. Listening to the waves 30' from our front door was fabulous. Don't forget to look over her jewelry!
-Marie Claude and her staff are friendly and helpful -Beautiful and quiet and well appointed bungalows
-Price could have been lower
very nice owner, excellent place, food very good
Loved the private bungalow and that Marie picked us at the airport with a smiling face! She even stopped at the grocery store on the way so we could get some food supplies. The bungalows have kitchens which are quite good for making an early coffee, as coffee is not till 7:30am and you are going to want to watch the sunrise from your private bungalow with a cup of coffee or tea! Marie also serves up a very nice fresh seafood dinner and delivers it to the bungalow! We went on a waterfall tour that she suggested which was amazing!! Definitely a must do. Would most certainly stay there again
If you are sensitive to sound the surf off on the distance is quite loud at night, not sure if it was the time of year or what? As far as the waterfall tour , you need to be in shape and wear old clothes and good shoes ( which they will provide) and that you don't mind getting dirty as it is a long difficult hike , but worth it!
One of the best places we've spent our time. Very nice owner, excellent place. Food very good. Typical polinesian atmosphere. Close to interesting marae and King's motu. In calm weather good place for snoorkling. Owner, employees and guests feel like a big family.
Pick up and drop of at the airport on time. Nice, helpful owner, on the trip to the hotel she took us grocery shopping. Wonderfully situated on the only sand beach in Raiatea and next to the important marea. The have a car for rent so it is easy to explore the island.
Bungalows are sufficient but not charming. Mosquito-netting has holes, lights in the bungalow are not good enough to read. Kitchen furnishings minimalistic and very used and no mircowave - as promised with booking.
There are few beaches on Raiatea but here we had a beach front bungalow literally steps from the ocean. Marie Claude is an excellent cook and we enjoyed fresh fish in a variety of sauces. The longest staying guest stayed for 8 years which says something and most of the clientele are return guests
Wi Fi connection was generally good at the main reception area but variable in the bungalow. Not a big problem though. Utoroa is about 35minutes by car but when we went on an excursion we were given a vehicle to come and go at a very reasonable rate
