kitchen was being remodeled during our stay and we were not made aware of that when we made the booking. I think since our plans (pre-paid booking, air fare, etc) were already in place the hotel should have accommodated us in some way other than just arranging our transportation to dinner off site; for example, a credit for use at the resort (lunches, snacks, bar) would have been appreciated. Wifi was useless, unable to get a signal to be able to log on line
clean and beautiful setting lovely staff
We were staying during some major renovations and off-season. Eventhough all these things were going on the staff was awesome. Staying during the off season it was almost like you had the resort to your self. The staff tried very hard to accomodate all your wishes and make your forget that the kitchen was being renovated and the grounds and buildings were getting ready for the busy season ahead. I hope that all that visit this summer appreciate the staff's hard work to get the resort perfect for your visit.
A bit expensive but worth every penny (franc). We want to return someday and stay longer!
the InterContinental Bora Bora Le Moana Resort is one of the cheaper resorts but not well positioned for the wind which cuts down the time you can enjoy the beach considerably, for the extra money of the better hotels i think you would be a lot better staying there rather than Le Moana.
the staff were very helpfull
Check in process at resort was bizarre, took nearly an hour and no communication about what was happening. Boat transfers from Airport and back a bit of a rip off considering room rates. Township of Viatape was surprisingly ordinary
Great resort in beautiful location, being mainland based added flexibility, resort actually encouraged to try local restaurants/supermarket/service providers which was great and made beers etc very affordable, did an easy cycle around island which took 2 hours and saw lots, location perfect for snorkelling/kayaking great
The price of meals and drinks... however, being in such exclusive and luxury place in the middle of a natural paradise cannot be cheap
if you are a IHG premium member, Hotel will give you special rewards. the attention was personalized. Room was cleaned up twice a day. The view to the lagoon from many places inside the bungalow, the glass table in the living room, all the southern hemisphere constellations were visible! This experience was much better than I expected!
-no sun umbrella on the bungalow's terrace -boat transfer from the airport ridiculously expensive (take the free shuttle boat from the airport to Vaitape and then taxi)
Heaven on Earth
Location, views, friendliness and efficiency of staff. Excellent place to stay. Highly recommended.
