The ONLY downside was lack of WiFi in my room, maximum 'on' time was an hour, then the staff had to reset, Had to go to the reception area to access - very hard when you need to make reservations for the next leg of the journey. When it was on, it was a good, strong signal.
I LOVED having my little bungalow right on the beach. It was #301, air conditioned, easy access to the restaurant but quiet and fairly secluded. Black-out drapes for privacy, mostly silence. The water is clear and warm with lots of cool fish right in front of the property. Excellent staff, Tim at the front desk and Greg the driver were above and beyond to make my stay perfect.

Mosquitos - we got bitten. Noisey air conditioner and fan in room. No shampoo or conditioner were provided, even though they provided a hairdryer in the room.
Convenient location on Moorea. Beachfront cabana was affordable. Great mountain views from restaurant pier. Friendly staff.

Male reception was so rude. There was no wifi.
February 25, 2015
Had to reserve table for lunch when restaurant basically empty. Expensive wifi $7.00US for 30 mins. they then turned it on and everyone could use it.
February 25, 2015
The room was very crowded with a gigantic bed and another bed , we couldnt move inside, also we had to pay 700 f for 1/2 hour of internet; the extras were very expensive - the restaurant for example and we didnt have anyother facilities in the room except for a refregerator , altogether itcame out off our budget
The locationthe price was reasonable; the staff was very very friendly: the restaurant is excellent; the bicycle

They have excellent emploee. Tehai!

The aircon makes quite some noise and this was the only place where I had to pay for WIFI.It would be very much appreciated by the guests if this were free.
The location is superb, especially when you have a lagoon facing bungalow. Easy snorkelling and free shopping tour every day. The food was very good.

There is no convenient or affordable public transportation on Moorea and unfortunately this hotel does not offer any shuttle service from the ferry terminal, expensive WiFi (30 min for 700 xpf/7 USD). No breakfast included with room rate. They charge for snorkeling/kayaking, there are no complimentary activities.
Good location on Cook's Bay. Reasonable prices for the rooms. Nice small white sand beach outside with a pretty reef and clear blue water. Nice staff that was somewhat helpful with arranging activities on other parts of the island.

Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Nowhere to dry swimming gear around cabin.
The room was spacious, very nice decor and bathroom facilities. All felt newly done. The location was terrific - easy to find from the airport, near to shops, small reef just in front of the cabin was good for snorkelling and had two resident turtles. Public beach 5 minutes away by car. Beautiful views across the bay. Restaurant was nice.

No english speaking tv stations in the rooms. The main lobby had an english speaking tv where you could catch the news.
The location on Cooks Bay was fantastic. Great fews of the mountains. Food was ok

About a mile's walk to a store, shopping or other restaurants. Rooms were a bit rustic.
View was superb, food at restaurant very good (we had 2 pasta dishes and 2 Mahi Mahi dishes, excellent), staff was ready to assist

We loved Bora Bora but Moorea was even better and Kaveka provided a lovely base to explore paradise. Great staff, great bungalow, no air con required with the bay breezes, good snorkeling off Kaveka's jetty, and watch the fish while dining.

I asked the hotel manager to call a tour operator to arrange a pick up time, even though I had already found, on my own, the tour guide, as I found it difficult to communicate on the phone in French to arrange details. The hotel took a 20% deposit for this tour, which I found out later from the tour guide was kept by the hotel and not given to the guide for his services - it was a very high price to pay for a 2 minute phone call to confirm a tour, and a rip-off, and the hotel cheating the tour guide. I was not told in advance by the hotel management/receptionist that to make this phone call would require a charge, simply to confirm the time of pick up for a tour. Also, the room had torn fabric in the ceiling and open vents, leading to constant mosquito problems in the room in the evenings with no way to keep them out, and constant ant problem. Starving dogs and cats frequented the hotel and begged for food from clients. The room, packed with 2 beds and shelves, had little floor space for walking. It is at least a mile, and at least a 20 min. walk, to get to grocery store.
location is lovely; one receptionist was very helpful dealing with a tour operator who was dishonest and over-charging by nearly double a whale-wathing tour -- Nice snorkeling off the dock, although shallow water over sharp coral. Very kind and friendly gardener works in the yard keeping the surrounding garden lovely.

Plumbing dreadful - shower didn't drain properly, no plug in basin, toilet stopped once. Worst aspect is restaurant, where food is very poor and overpriced (only ate there once). Husband served wine in cracked glass and a piece of glass broke off and cut his lip - no response from management/staff except offer of a free glass of wine! Pay extra for everything - mean, penny-pinching attitude. Staff offhand. No ladder into lagoon, so couldn't swim there as no way to get in or out, so had to drive to beach.
Location, location, location. Wonderful setting in an attractive garden right on Cook's Bay lagoon. Comfy, attractive cabins with verandahs and chairs looking straight out to sea (lagoon or beach front cabins a must). Interior fittings OK, but attractive (all bamboo) and bed (KS) comfy with good pillows. Airconditioning and fan and mozzie coils (necessary as no screens or nets). Fresh towels daily.

Non motorised sports were not free, TV was only available in French (English TV in foyer) island buses very unreliable, no free Wi-Fi
Location to shops was good, quiet and relaxing resort.

The food in the restaurant was adequate, but the service slow. There is nothing much near the hotel, except for a small, but excellent pizzeria (Allo), so if you don’t rent a car or a bike, be prepared to walk - 20 mins. to the nearest village (Maharepa). WiFi is expensive - €6 for 30 mins.
The Kaveka is located on picturesque Cook’s Bay with its turquoise waters and dramatic peaks. The bungalows are furnished in dark woods and cane furniture and kept clean. The gardens are ablaze with tropical vegetation and the small, white-sand beach and waterfront are equipped with sun beds. The reception staff, especially Tim and Haave, are very friendly, helpful and always ready for a laugh and a joke.

Value for money, nice little beach.

Small things, but too many: fairly isolated location, with few nearby dining options; only soap, no other bathroom amenities; no complimentary drinking water or beach towels; only French tv channels; no coffee/tea making facilities in the room; expensive wifi
Beautiful views from the veranda of my bungalow.Nice garden and beach setting. Friendly and helpful staff. Cook very accomodating in preparing vegetarian dishes (that could hardly be found on the menu).

Shower curtain was a little dirty, only check-in available at 3 pm, no free wifi, staff pushy on selling us extra activities.
Location is very pretty ( but not directly at the lagoon), room was spacious and beautiful, fresh flowers in the room, air conditioning was welcome.
