The amazing service and attention from Olivier-the local manager of the property-he was very helpful arranging transfers both on Tahiti and again on Moorea-dropped us off in nearby village and due to illness of one of our party-collected us again and drove us "home".he could not have been more helpful. Great advice about things to do-places to eat-told us about Moorea Boat Tours(amazing!!)- idyllic common area-pool-hot tub-deck with luxurious lounges and water views-close enough to ocean to kayak out to ray and shark feeding area-within easy kayak distance of nearby hotel bar and restaurant.
Advertised as having Wifi but does not. Advertised a pizza oven but advised not to use due to complicated/time consuming and risk of smoking us out of the house- bedrooms are getting rather tired and in need of renovation- minimal lighting-very "romantic" but not very practical-despite resident cat- mice/rats got into food in packages first night-stored everything in fridge after that-definitely not cheap at A$800/night but Moorea isn't cheap and we did get accommodation for 8 people for that.Air con only working in 2 of 4 bedrooms.2 of the 3 showers have to be hand-held rather than being able to stand under-perhaps popular for Europeans but annoying.Limited food/shop options nearby and VERY expensive.
