Location was good , room really spacious and well equiped , great bed and staff very helpful
Breakfast in Chocalatte sub standard and way over priced Card keys did not work in the lift very well , had cards re programmed 6 times in three days
The room was large and the furniture comfortable..
The staff at reception were not flexible, I was chasing a late checkout for 15.00 and they wanted to charge me FPF10,000 for 3 hours Poor TV Channel selection
We loved the shops and the service station just next door, easy access to everything downtown.
Staff not overly friendly, just going through the motion, our room needed maintenance with walls peeling etc, and the attitude of the house keeper when I requested milk was extremely rude. It is not supplied with the tea/coffee.
Great location if you want to be downtown.
Hotel Hallways very dark at night..
Keola from the front desk was very helpful. We love the location!!
I did not know I had to exchange my money for new money. I had to stay an extra day.
Location near ferry & roulottes was excellent. Room was sleek, clean and modern. Not a resort, no "Polynesian touches", but a nice upscale property to overnight at on Tahiti.
Dark hallways make you feel a bit nervous.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The location was convenient to the cruise ship dock and given the limited attractions in the city of Papeete quite good. Now that I know what Papeete is like I would stay in a resort before/after a cruise and bite the bullet on the higher cost for accommodation and meals.
The unexpected kitchenette was only half equipped, no microwave or toaster, limited dishes, utensils and glasses, and nothing to wipe off the counter or dry anything. Insufficient light in the bathroom and the air conditioning didn't cool either the bathroom or toilet room. There were no counter stools, only chairs that weren't useable to sit at the counter. No wash cloths were provided or available. Couldn't connect to the internet using a Microsoft tablet, which has worked many places around the world without a problem.
No body to help with the luggage and had to do it all ourselves, even had to use the luggage cart ourselves. Also they would not store our luggage for a night, ver poor attitude of the director who did not speak to us.
Location, good staff, nice rooms
Noisy street, dark rooms, VERY dark hallways
The staff was very helpful and courteous as we arrived at 6 am and obviously the room was not available. The staff said we could use the spa area to shower and change, which was very nice after a long flight.
I lost my pink sketcher tennis shoe there (just one shoe). I was really hoping they would have it after my 2 week cruise.
All international departures are mostly late at night. The international departure area at the airport only opens three hours before flight. We arrived in the morning from Bora, and wanted a place to rest and shower, have a nice dinner and head out to the airport in the evening. This hotel was totally on the mark for that. Clean, centrally located, great room with a modern bath room and great towels. Helpful bi-lingual staff.
Internet in lobby was very spotty. Did not work in rooms. Needs improvement.
Free parking. Interior of room.
Having room facing the main road when we specifically asked for a quiet room with nice view and booked 3 months in advance. The balcony of the room was not usable as it faced directly the mail road and was filthy with traffic dirt.
Location: centrally located near airport, ports, tourist center, park. Value: decent accommodations for the price Free wifi in the lobby Friendly and attentive staff
Strong smell of air freshener in the room. Showerhead nosel awkwardly positioned so water spilled out into the floor of the bathroom No wifi in the rooms
cleanliness, location, free wifi, security
arrived late, would have liked some milk in frig
The closeness to the main shopping and market area is really good. Also the food trucks for dinner were a 5 min walk. The hotel a/c world's really well.
The room we had the balcony door didn't lock. The toilet area had water damage and plaster missing on the roof. There was a hole in the floor about the size of a 50 cent piece that had been plugged up with tissues.
Handy to centre of town Beds were of very good quality Good water flow in shower but poor shower head Restaurant good
No equipment in the kitchen, had to keep asking for cooking utensils and plates and glasses, No microwave. No dish cleaning items.Lack of mirrors in bedrooms Lighting in bathroom poor, therefore unable to utilise the mirror. Reception rather hot whilst waiting for transport
Hotel is fine for checking out Papeete, if a little expensive. We had a suite with a kitchen which was good with small kids so we could get our own cereal for breakfast (service station with groceries right next door) or dinner from the vans. Plenty of space, bath for kids, helpful booking early morning taxi.
Great location for pre/post cruise.
Breakfast buffet wildly overpriced. Go to a cafe.
Location Room decor Beautiful atrium Room decor
No wi fi in room No ice on floors A/C had problems in room and had to move
Excellent living space in the junior suite, comfortable bed, kitchenette very convenient
chipped cups - throw them out and buy new ones
Location in town is remote; requested a mountain view after reading other reviews that it would be less noisy. Still awaked by roosters early in the morning. From the airport the taxi fare is 2190 per trip NOT per passenger. The rates are posted still discuss it with the driver BEFORE getting in the taxi or they will cheat you
In the rooms in the front the highway was very noisey
It's central location, the friendly staff which is normal for Tahitians anyway. The atmosphere in the "Velvet" restaurant was pleasant. Free car parking.
Sparsely furnished hotel devoid of any welcoming cosy feeling. Badly designed, dangerous and disproportionately tiny bathroom in a huge Junior suite. One tea bag (Not even normal tea) in room and unavailability of more. Broken Coffee table, lack of sufficient utensils for two in large kitchen. Bad or lack of lighting in bathrooms. Complete lack of maintenance in general in the hotel and particularly at the Pool with warped planks with screws sticking up round the pool, no supervision, refreshment, towels or parasols, missing and broken tiles in pool. A handful of tired deck-chairs. Food in Velvet Restaurant poor and over priced. Service inconsistent at best. Staff in general need training. Only Wifi in foyer (free) which worked adequately.
Our suite had a large bedroom and adjoining lounge/kitchenette with balcony overlooking part of the city and the hills behind. Hotel Nui is located handily for the town and the harbour for transfer to cruises. The restaurant a must for dinner but not for breakfast.
The hotel is a bit gloomy in the interior particularly the entrance foyer, which looks as though it is awaiting a big crowd which never turns up. The staff is minimal; typically one lady on reception but no porter in evidence. Do not try to get room service cos it's not there. Minimal tea and coffee facilities and no minibar. Visit the handy shop in the gas station next door for your snacks and croissants.
We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Staff were friendly and helpful. They loaned the correct electrical plug for my curling iron and let me take it to one of the outer islands and return it the following week. The facilities are air conditioned, modern and spacious with the added bonus of a kitchen. We stayed in a Junior suit. The hotel has a swimming pool, spa facilities, restaurant and bar and all within 5 minutes walking distance to central Papeete. We would definitely stay here again.
The shower placement over the back of the bath and the shower head style makes it difficult to use. Water splashes everywhere and staying with the bathroom, it was strange that there wasn't anywhere to place the soap at the hand basin. A little soap dish by the basin would help because you had to either leave the wet soap in the basin or you put it on the counter which makes a mess. Don't assume there's a microwave because there isn't one and there are no dish cloths or tea towels. This mightn't be important to many but it's important to those of us who like to prepare breakfast or light snacks
