Score from 28 reviews Very good
the staff members were both friendly and helpful; independent spacious house at the top of a hill; fantastic snorkelling (squids, sting rays, baby sharks, etc.) just off the private pier; the furniture in the house was simply beautiful especially the two carved black beds and the four bed tables; a big swimming-pool was being finished on top of the hill during my three-day stay
The location and views from our unit were superb. Restaurants and shopping village close by...Friendly and helpful staff...their lagoon cruise was superb and definitely value for money...swimming with rays and sharks were a highlight with the private beach for lunch amazing. The airport transfer was about 30 minutes but very cheap, 2000 F. We arrived from Papeete by ferry and left by plane. If arriving by ferry the bus is a very cheap option...the bus driver will drop you off outside the lodge but catch the Aremiti 5, the bus meets this ferry.
We stayed 4 days, 3 nights in late March, early April prior to a cruise. We loved it! Great location, near a village and across the street from the beach and sea, very quiet and amazing sunsets from our balcony. Lize was very helpful! The place was clean and well kept, the bed was very comfortable. The grounds were very nice and we got to eat some of the fresh fruit available right on the grounds. We loved the excursion available through the lodge and highly recommend it. We took advantage of the kayak they had available and really enjoyed checking out a nearby motu. We loved having cooking facilities available. Not a luxury resort but the best value for accommodations anywhere in Moorea. We rented a car at the ferry port which proved to be very convenient. We will definitely return!
view is great. The place was clean but dishes and cooking pots all a mismatch. You will be very near to the shark and rays swim spot and could reach easily but we were not told this found out later. No a/c but up on hill good air flow. Taxi ride is about 5000 french from ferry. you are totally on the other end of island. shop for grocery before you get there. Owner live there but hard to find at times
Not very near anything so have transportation. The only bike they had was pretty bad Not very near anything so have transportation. Need light fixed never was and no screen on door so restricted air flow at night and day cause you had to close it for bugs
They had free kayaks, nice ocean view,
There are a lot of house ants.
Individual units with kitchen; closeness to small sandy beach and lagoon; 15min walk to supermarket (a bicycle was available, but never when we wanted it!). Reasonable price for an expensive island.
Steep staircase to sleeping area. Road noise, even though area is set back from the road. Snorkelling in lagoon is poor: few fish and coral appeared dead or dying. Excursion to view rays is supposedly included, but not guaranteed - during our stay cruise clients got precedence and we missed out.
