Upbeat owners and staff create a memorable, authentically Tahitian experience if you overlook negatives and are as quick to smile, engage, and share as they are. Warren is an outstanding cook, musician, and surf guide and is quick to accommodate. Beachfront bungalow w/fan, refer, and porch was adequate and clean.

Mosquitos, no see ums, and running out of time; unattended repairs and junk in yard that encourage bites; too shallow to swim or snorkel. Not fancy or pristine, but absolutely the most fun and memorable!

    Nice setting.

The manager wasn't ready for us when we arrived at 2:30 p.m. Our unit wasn't ready.

Our ocean view was great and the ocean was near our room. Very relaxing atmosphere. We sat on our porch and enjoyed the ocean we also went snorkeling. The host (Warren) was very helpful and accommodating as was all the staff. Thank you Warren, Family, staff.

We did not have enough time at this location. Next time!!

The owner is really nice and friendly. We stayed in a garden bungalow, it was lovely, clean and comfortable. Nice location to explore the Teahupoo area!

The fan in the room was a bit slow, so it was very warm. Sometimes, the temperature outside was lower, then in the bungalow. We had to keep windows/door open also during the nights.

The staff was amazing, providing us with fresh fruit daily and making sure we were comfortable. The pension is in such a fantastic location. There was plenty to do in the area; we enjoyed walking to Teahupoo, touring the aquaculture facility, or just walking the beach and collecting shells. I would highly recommend staying at Tauhanihani.

The area didn't have much for eating out. But if you go to the market there are plenty of great food options.

All I have to say is that Warren and Karine made me feel at home! Like I said on the FB, Don't expect the Hilton because it's much better if you really want to experience the true Tahiti! Location and the comfort you feel is off the charts and if you surf you can't beat Your Host while your there Warren! He was one of the nicest people I met, beyond accommodating, and he tears it up on the break in front of his Pension! I was there for 5 days and I had a smile permanently plastered on my face! Absolute relaxation with the friendliness people!

We loved the chance to experience the culture with Warren, his family and friends. It was a very special stop on our RTW trip with an exposure to aqua culture and the huge surfing waves further south. Our hosts were very generous in their offerings of food, kayaking, snorkeling and a laid back approach to living. We both wished we could have stayed longer. Best to all of our friends at Tauhanihani Lodge. Jack and Adrienne
