Poor in all categories, though staff was pleasant.
great location, clean room,
barking dogs, lack of converter plugs for guest use, facility looks a little run down
Very central location 5 minutes walk to food truck and cruise terminals. We found that the food trucks in town were the best place to eat and hang out at night. Not many other options at night... Reception lady very friendly and helpful. Taxi rank 1 min walk. Very close to town center so easy walk to markets and shops. Recommend for a night or two stopover in Papeete town center.
Noisy at night as located on main road.
Staff very friendly
The location is great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Manages to be quiet though located on a noisy street. Room very comfortable and with a view. They gave me 8-hour late check out without my even asking.
It's an older hotel and shows its age. Like everything in Papeete, it is overpriced.
Close to the city shopping and sightseeing.
No free wifi. The area, though in the city centre, can look a bit seedy after dark. There is nothing much going on except bars and Les Roulettes after dark. If I visit next time, I would rather stay outside the city in a better valued hotel and take the bus ride to the city in the day.
Good location for restaurants and walking around in the evening as a solo female traveller. The staff were courteous and helpful. The shower in the room I had was huge and the water presssure was very good. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Only a 10 minute taxi ride to airport - cost approx. $25 AUD.
No bedhead. The view from the room looked out into a back alley but as I arrived late in the evening and checked out very early the next morning it really didn't matter.
Room was and great size, the balcony and view were a lovely surprise on the 4th floor. Located in the heart of the city especially for places to eat and drink. Really appreciated being able to make a cuppa in our room.
Having to leave just before 5am to fly out at 7am to return home. There was nothing about the hotel we didn't like.
As requested I got a corner room with a great view of the harbour and sunsets over Moorea. The hotel is in easy walking distance of the (limited) sights of Papeete. Friendly staff.
The decor is a bit dated. Wifi OK, but not free.
The location was good for seeing Papeete. Also close to the ferry terminal. Staff were curt but friendly and easily arranged an early morning taxi.
The curtains were very see through so all the light from the marina came in the room all night. It was also very noisy from the road traffic.
Wonderful staff. Very kind and helpful. The hotel is very clean and centrally located to the town center. Not a lot of frills, but good air con and facilities. Was a good stay for 1 night.
The location is excellent with big room
Hotel is a little bit rundown, expensive for what it is.
Staff is friendly Easy to know what to expect Easy local breakfast for a fair price
No refrigerator Sometimes noisy on the street but can't help it since it's in a good location.
Compared to other Papeete locations, quiet rooms to back available. No cockerels or barking dogs, only aircons humming away. Nice receptionist.
Lipstick on the bed linen, neon light as only option, worn mattress, teared blinds, and overall signs of neglect. Poor communication prior to stay.
great location - staff friendly and amiable - upgrade to water view room was appreciated - we made an error in terms of date of booking and hotel was very good to change booking, upgraded us due to room availability - great service
close to centre of town, ferry and cruise terminals
Fantastic breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff, great central waterfront location.
Not the center of town but close enough. Walk to everything in town. Shopping, food, tattoo and the ferry boats to the other islands.
A little noisy with the main road through town out front, but still a nice hotel and the traffic is light after 8PM so no problem sleeping.
We likedthat we could walk to all the main sites & facilities. The staff were most helpful. Breakfast was good value.
The traffic noise was awful when the window/door was open onto the balcony, so we slept with the room shut & the air conditioner on, which was good if you like to do that. We like al natural.
The location is excellent if one is not looking for a beach holiday : next to banks, shops and restaurants in the center of Papeete. The hotel is facing part of the harbour, with the Moorea silhouette as a backdrop. Staff kindly provided the assistance I requested.
Rooms facing the main street (Pomare Avenue) enjoy a nice scenery... and quite a lot of traffic noise (earplugs are provided by the hotel!). Continental breakfast and wifi are available, but not free.
Well used condition of room
I would recommend the hotel to anyone wanting a perfect location in Papeete. The staff is friendly, seeming to consist of only one person at the desk and the housekeepers here and there. Facilities are worn, but basically adequate and comfortable. Bed and pillows not the most comfortable, but everything was very clean. We would stay there again for the location and reasonable price. The hotel was very accommodating in keeping our luggage after checkout until our very late night departure.
Immaculate; very competitive rates; competent, pleasant, English-speaking staff quick to help; best value breakfast; very clean, large, room w/wrap around floor to ceiling windows and huge balcony w/panoramic view (#405) and thick towels; walk to all city sites (2 hrs to see it all) with stores, bank, food nearby; safe; waterfront breezes; supplied earplugs, exchanged currency at very fair rate; no hidden costs (33720 cpf 2 nites w/breakfast. Best value for arrival/departures.
slippery bath floor
Convenient location close to shops, Moorea ferry and all amenities. Helpful staff.
