It was a very pleasant retreat. Quiet & Peaceful relaxation.
Nothing. A very pleasant place
Beautiful room, fantastic service and a lovely meal. I highly recomend this lodge.
The friendly and personal touch. It is only a small hotel but very service oriented. I will most likely stay here again.
If you want a quiet and relaxing time in Port Moresby the Raintree is the place, staff very helpful and friendly clean and tidy meal was delicous
no spirits to drink or ice would have been nice.
the staff: charming, always ready to help, in particular the lovely owners Bernadette and David, all of whom were effectively the most memorable part of my trip the hotel: an oasis of greenery and simple but thoughtful beauty, safe and calm the room: cool, large, comfortable and great wifi the value: honestly the best choice for those who want to escape the 5 star charmless hotels of the city
The friendly staff, good security, feel like home, clean and comfortable bed, good restaurant, fantastic garden, excellent airport pick and drop off. Location is good.
Felt very safe inside, good comfortable rooms and beds, nice hot water.
It's in the middle of nowhere and too far to go to the main area. The restaurant was closed so we couldn't have dinner and the staff were gone by 8pm so we were alone all night it seemed.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The gardens were well kept and very 'tropical' and the room was very clean.
Quietness Friendly staff Hot water worked this time
TV did not work in first room (same as last I stayed there)
Love RAINTREE too go back to after escaping the outside world of png very relaxing and the food was outstanding very friendly staff
good clean and quite facility.
a curry chicken order took 50 minutes to cook.
quiet environment in a hectic city good food good transport gardens
very friendly and helpful staff
a bit away from anything of interest
Big, clean room Free airport pickup and drop off Cheaper than some other options in POM without sacrificing on security
I stayed there 2 nights about a week apart. The first time went very smoothly with the exception that my key didn't work in the deadbolt. My second visit went less well. I had emailed them four days in advance of my arrival to ask for an airport pickup but when I arrived they weren't there to get me. I had four different phone numbers for them (two from their website, one from the signature of their email, and one from Booking.com), none of which worked. Fortunately another hotel shuttle took pity on me and dropped me off at Raintree even though it was out of their way. When another guest and I came to the lobby at 6:15 the next morning (we were leaving at 6:30 for the airport), no one was around even though breakfast is supposed to start at 6 AM. We had to turn on all the lights and go hunting for a staff member so we could check out. We didn't get our free breakfast as a result of this.
"Come as a guest, leave as a friend" - what sounds like a cheesy slogan at every other place is true here. The owners, Bernadette and David, and there forthcomming staff, make you really feel welcome. And: the comfiest beds in the whole of PNG!!
Garden, large showers, quiet, safe, friendly staff and owners, lovely upstairs balcony relaxing area, good location
Food could be better
Charming, clean, friendly staff
no pool, had to use the driver to go any where. limited dining options
Comfortable spacious and clean rooms - friendly unobtrusive staff - its a little oasis.
It is not more that few rooms and you feel you are at home, it is clean and good food in the restaurant.
You can hear the people on the first floor walking as it is wooden floor.
