With a rich mix of influences from Indian, Chinese, Spanish and American cultures, Manila is the vibrant capital of the Philippines and its cultural and economic center. Thanks to the trade with Latin America during the three centuries of Spanish colonization, Manila became an important city, known as the "Pearl of the Orient."
Don’t miss a visit to the Spanish remains in the Intramuros district. Important landmarks in the area are the Malacañan Palace, the City Hall, and the Manila Cathedral.
Rizal Park is a national icon, while the Baywalk promenade is great for enjoying the well-known city sunsets. Ermita and Malate districts are famous for the nightlife, trendy shopping and restaurants, as well as for some luxury Manila hotels. Between the promenade and the districts, its easy to see why Filipinos call Manila “The City of Our Affections,” where the people's love affairs with fashion, music, entertainment and sheer fun are on bright and beautiful display.
Divisoria is a traditional district for local shopping, bargains and typical food. Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world.
For hotels in Manila near the airport, Ninoy Aquino International Airport is not far from Makati City.
A lot to see in the city and all it's areas. We had family there so most the time was spent with family doing activities, but we would have had more time there we wouldn't have ran out of things to do every day. It was a very enjoyable trip overall.

The food was good, that's all that's good about this place.
The food was good, that's all that's good about this place. Do not stay at this scam hotel. They will put you in a cheaper room than you paid for and try to play dumb about it. They will also try to charge you way more for a taxi than it really cost. The staff were very unwelcoming to my fiancee after I forced then to give her thr room I paid for. Just a really unbelievable level of unprofessionalism.

Significant / historical places to see - worthseeing.
Significant / historical places to see - worthseeing. Manila Cathedral and Quiapo Church and Baclaran Church are full of devotees but everyone tries to follow the rules to respect the area. Good to visit Intramuros, Fort Santiago and at about 5:00 pm (depends on the traffic) drive towards Manila Bay to watch the unique sunset at Manila Bay - Interesting culture, resilient people. Poverty is everywhere but the city shines because of the efforts to offer everything to make it convenient and attractive to everyone who can afford. Service is excellent. Filipinos are always helpful and friendly, by nature, they always keep a warm smile on their faces. Unfortunately, due to poverty, everyone should always keep an eye on their belongings - danger of pickpockets, snatchers.
Rule is: Do not show wealth (jewellry, bunch of money and the like) - do not wear jewellry on the street / public transport.

A huge city with several centers, there is a lot to discover, a broad range of offers from nightlife to high brow luxury, the people are friendly, even in gloomy slum areas I wasn`t afraid to move around freely, but it helps you to carry some coins on you for begging kids. I enjoyed Rizal park and some museums, the ancient walled city and nightlife in Makati-Poblacion.
Well, rats and cockroaches get along with hygienical carelessness in some quarters and water quality of water stretches is restricted.

If I were to go back I will go directly to Mactan Int'l airport.
I used to liive in Makati on the 80's but it's so traffic nowadays.
My returned was to see my dearest best friend so I have no choice.
Manila still is beautiful with hospitable & accomodating people just don't mind the heavy traffic.
Great Hotel for the money, We use it when we travel in and out of Manila, or have any medical that needs to be dealt with @ ST Lukes also close to makati Med Center and the green belt Shopping many restaurants within walking distance .The one bedroom suites are the best. Thank you Angel from house keeping for turning in my Apple charger from our last stay .!!!OH and Shane the black lady that hides under the podium in the front window of the lobby .You will only get the last comment if you go there, tell her I said hi.
This year we chose U Hotel to be our base while in Manila as we travel around
Philippines. We've done this a number of times, and have used different Makati hotels as our base; U Hotel has been our favorite so far! The rooms are nice, the breakfast is excellent, the staff is wonderful, the price is very reasonable, and the location is awesome. Our group of two couples will stay at the hotel in the future for sure!
it is a great hotel in Makati area, good value of money, not far from airport. nice view. Thera are some dishes, small fridge even a microwave in the room. grosery in front of hotel. next to hotel is starbucks and local food restaurant. so location is perfect. about 400 pesos with grab to main Manila’s tourist places.helpful and polite staff. it was good choise to stay few nights in this hotel after a long flight.
Customer Service is SUPERB. Hotel staff are very friendly and professional and very helpful. All of the staff, I mean from the hotel’s Security Guard to their facility people, all of them has a superb customer service. Location is very comfortable, just opposite Greenbelt 5, and Greenbelt 1 is just few steps away. I would recommend this hotel and will always book thus hotel whenever I’m in Manila/Makati.
Great value for money. It was probably half the cost of its competitors but in a better location. The customer service and access to parking made my stay very comfortable. The best part was the location. I will rebook at this hotel next time I'm in Manila because it's close to Greenhills, Makati and Quezon City. A bonus was the generous cocktail hour, upbeat vibe and decor.
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 THE BWST HOTEL IN ALL MANILA
FOR ME THE ATTENTION WAS GREAT!!
DO NOT TAKE A TAXI FROM THW AIRPORT THEY CHARGED US 400 AND ROBBED US! YOU SHOULD PAY MAX 160 PHP FOR THE TRIP!!
this hotel is wonderfull very cheap IT INCLUDES A CHEAP BREAKFAST THAT IS UNLIMITED BREAD AND CAFFE JUST THAT BUT FOR POOR BACKPACKERS LIKE ME IS THE BEEEEST OF THE BEST!
The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We were quite impressed with the staff also, they were all great at what they do. The best part of staying in this hotel is its location, it is attached to one of the biggest shopping malls in Manila. We have already recommended it to some friends coming to the Philippines in a week.
The location is great. there are two to three shopping malls and department stores connected to the hotel lobby. very convenient location. the breakfast was great. the staff was very friendly and supportive. overall the 7 day stay for me and my family was great. can recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling to Manila on vacation.
Located in Makati, Manila, this place is easy to get to via taxi from the airport as well as to places for food and shopping. There's quite a few shops around the area that are not long to get to such as Starbucks, Chowking etc. It's quite a modern looking hotel with two entrances and an exceptional looking aesthetic.
Brand new hotel of a superztar basketball player of the Philippines. Very well equipped. The rooftop bar and gym are really nice and new. The staff is smiling and profesional. Location is mear the Cash and Carry mall and everywhere in makati or the city easily reachable by grab. Perfect for a stopover in Manila.
The hotel is modern and very well cleaned, located in the best neighborhood of Manila, with a nice lobby and a rooftop with amazing views to the city skyline. We got an upgrade, thanks to Khrea working on reception, and we loved it! The suite was very comfortable, nice living room and huge bathroom!
Hotel 101 is a good location to stay in as it is near MOA and Manila Bay. The room was clean with a kettle, fridge and microwave. The food was nice but the best thing about this hotel is the staff, their customer service is fantastic as they are extremely helpful and cheerful.
This is the second hotel i’ve been too in the manila ad it’s the best. I had to book another night because it’s been the greatest experience. Everyone is so nice and very clean hotel. I would book this hotel everytime i one back to manila. definitely would recommended it.
Very close to Manila International airport. I walked to the hotel but had to cross a very busy road. Clean and comfortable room. Airconditioning was cold.
I left my shoes there and when I returned, the staff gave back my shoes. A very big thank you 😀
The room was spacious and there was an ample room for clothes and all my personal effects. The location of the hotel is very advantageous for travelers like me who wants to see whole metro manila. The staff was also very helpful and hospitable.
One of my favourite hotels in Manila. Friendly staff, great service, good breakfasts. I was pleasantly surprised to get a free pick-up from the airport. The pool is wonderful, a great escape from the chaos and heat of Manila.
I always stay in this hotel when staying in Manila. Easy access to skyway to and from airport. Just a few steps away from Greenbelt. Professional staff. Suites and Club Lounge are worth it.
When we visit Manila our goto hotel is Okada
The comfort of the rooms and professionalism of the staff combine to be the best value hotel in Manila. We have tried the other 5 star hotels
It was close to the airport which was convenient for us. The room and hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again for passing through Manila.
