the location is great the people are very friendly and helpfull
I booked a 30m2 Room and on arrival I got another one I referred this to the reception and was told since it was already booked there would be no price changes, that is poor service.
The location was a little far from Station 1 & 2 than expected. However I did not regret it once I reached Boracay because Station 2 is a little too loud and noisy at night. Arwana is a good night spot to just sit down with a cup of hot cappucino with a group of friends and chat. The bars beside the resort will play soft rock and acoustic songs on loud speaker that suit our mood. During the day, it may not be the epic center of activities but I can still enjoy the sunset. On windy days, there are a lot of kitesurfing activities since Arwana has a big beach site for them to set up their equipment. Staff were accommodating and helpful. They clearly stated all the facilities they have and do not have in advance and if we needed anything else for our water activities. Amazingly the drinks and sunscreen they sell in-house is way cheaper than outside. Their breakfast menu and dinner are limited but the foods are very delicious - most fluffiest pancake I have ever seen :)
Location to do water activities, in-house guests were too noisy,
They offered free breakfast and dinner, which makes you save a lot more, staff were nice and polite.
The rooms really needs a renovation.
The overall experience is positive. Located in the quiet area of station 3 is a perfect place for leisure. A well equipped beach bar just next to the hotel. Quite good complimentary breakfast. Solid wi-fi signal. Clean and spacious air-con room. Sunbeds and beautiful view at your fingertips.
The room was clean and spacious, however, I got an impression that the hotel was designed and equipped in a hurry: door lock was so close to the door frame that one can barely rotate inserted key; tap in the sink was too short, so that I had to wash hands under shower; and there was a lack of shelves. Lastly the service needs improvement. At the reception desk everything is written on tens of thousands of post-it notes, and when they need to check something they cannot find the right note. In general a mess. A step to the terrace on the first floor should be better labeled, it's easy to trip over.
I stubbornly ignored the other poor reviews from previous guests and regretted it so much. I visited boracay in 2007 with my wife and we spent most of our days on the beach in front of the Arwana. We didn’t stay there at the time but we often ate there and took advantage of their great cocktails on the beach. It became my favourite spot on white beach – by far. At the time, the Arwana was quite new, extremely well run and had a lovely vibe. Seven years have passed and my god how it has gone down hill. Gone is the lovely cake shop at the store front, it looks tired and is poorly managed. I stayed there for 6 nights and it became evident that the local management had absolutely no authority to make any kind of decision without reverting to the head office in manila. This made the local team look incompetent (which I don’t actually think is the case) and so many times I witnessed guests becoming angry with them when they couldn’t make an immediate decision on the spot. The level of service is so low because the local team has become so despondent with being shouted at by guests whilst they wait for decisions from a manila office that is only thinking about letting rooms and not caring for the welfare of its staff of the enjoyment of its guests. I paid $90 per night for a deluxe room and could have had so much better for the same or even less in the area. For those considering Boracay, my recommendation is to arrive without a reservation and have a little wander around the area that takes your fancy and you’ll easily find a place to stay at the budget you want. I did this in 2007 but was conscious that Boracay is much busier now and it was also high season at the time that I was going to visit…….but I shouldn’t have worried, there’s plenty of availability even in high season.
Near beach and friendly staff
Takes too long to serve food and most of the time, They says they don't have food in stock. For example, you have a choice of 3 different soup but they only have one in stock etc..
Hi,As My Honeymooners BFF's told me; They both said that they really love your place and its perfect!
The place was kept clean and our room was cleaned every day, with fresh sheets towels etc. There was quite a few ants in the room but to be expected for the price. The location was perfect couldn't be in a better spot.
Some of the staff were lovely, and others were not so helpful. The meals would take up to an hour at least, almost every day. Sometimes it would take 10 mins just to be given a menu. The food was nice but no one in the restaurant aspect seemed to really care about their guests.
Location-situated in a quiet area of Boracay (although some may get bored about this) Provides beach chairs and towels (first come, first served)
Weak wifi in our room (they usually turn it off in the morning till afternoon) Although not the hotel's fault, the beach fronting the hotel has so many boats obstructing the view
Friendly n Helpful staff
Location - right at the beach Staff - nice and polite
the overall comfort offered, don´t expect a perfect and "smooth and quick" service - everything is very relaxed ;-) Very local, which I liked.
Wifi is ok when we checked in but when we came back at night its no longer working till morning. The food in their restaurant is good but the service is very very slow.
Staff is friendly. Approachable.. room is clean. Food is good.
Place is to far.. but not too crowded.
Location- it's at station 3 so it's a bit quieter which is nice and only a short walk into the busier station 2. - mango pancakes at breakfast were delicious
- room was tiny! I could not even open my suitcase and had to squeeze to even get around it -The room Was also very dirty with black hair all over floor and bathroom/ I felt dirty just being there. No curtain on shower so water goes everywhere. -I'm suprised to read other reviews say the staff were so great, on my stay they were average, I'd often be standing at the front desk for a while before anybody would even look up at me. To be fair though there was one sweet woman who was there at breakfast who was kind. - air con has no remote and is placed high on the wall so you have to climb the wall and stand on sink to adjust it. Oh and also only provided with thin bed sheet , no blankets!
Free breakfast and dinner.
Service was very friendly, breakfast was also pretty good.
Location, good budget hotel
A nice location (at front beach), easy to swim, sunbath, relax on the beach with a bot of beer. Staff very friendly and useful. Room is clean, big enough with good facilities. Will stay here again if be back Boracay.
Great location as only 5-10 minute walk to the busier station 2. Very friendly staff. Right on the beach.
Free breakfast and dinner
Too far and the beach in front is not clean
The rooms were comfy, convenient n quiet. Beach front. Staff were pleasant and friendly.
I just want to highlight this: We switch 2 standard rooms to 1 deluxe room with 4 beds. They charge me high rate on top of that theycharge me for 2 more bed. They should have informed me earlier. And the food was totally bad. We only ate there once.
