The rooms were sizeable.
The staff had a very poor attitude. The rooms were supposed to be non-smoking, but the room had a strong smell of smoke. When we complained, the staff refused to do anything about the situation. After being more insistent, they offered to send housekeeping to the room to see if there indeed was a smoke smell. Upon discovering the smell, they offered to spray some air freshener in the room. Furthermore, the sink was crawling with ants, and power on the property would cut out for long periods of time. There were times during the day where they would not have any hot water. Given the price, the quality of service was totally unacceptable. I would not stay at this hotel ever again - at any price.

This was a nice 'cheap thrills' place fairly near (a short walk) to the beach and all the action in Boracay. The beds were nice, with fresh, crisp and clean sheets.
This hotel had a policy on check-out of doing an room inventory and charging for wear and tear. (The facilities were a good step above 'backpacker grade', but they must've still had some problems with this). We were happy to help out by participating in this, however it was executed in a really weird way!! On check-checkout we 'fessed-up about how we accidentally broke one of the drinking glasses - they charged us $7 for a new one. All good. Otherwise, we were expecting to be complimented on leaving the facilities exactly as we found them. . (which was a little worse-for-wear, but reasonable given the ~$100/night in peak season price). Seemed all good until. . . . A teaspoon went missing! We're 99.9% sure that there was only one teaspoon in the room when we checked-in. But the hotel wanted to charge us for the missing one. They simply refused to believe that we weren't responsible, so we ended up having this absurd 5-o-clock-in-the-morning argument with them. It got to the point that we suggested a bag search, but they indicated the spoon might've already been disposed of. Where? On the Boracay black-market for spoons of dubious origin!? If I was them, I would've absorbed the ~$0.30 cost instead of accusing the customer of being a liar. Also, there were a lot of hazards around the place for young kids. These included: * The loft style-bed up against a railing, where a child could also fall resulting in death. * Railings around the pool and water-slide at a height that a small-child could walk under and fall to death, serious injury. * Milky color water in the pool. Finally, the staff seemed confused about Booking.com . . . although we'd booked via the site, upon check-in they wanted payment, and we gave cash. They weren't able to clearly explain whether the card had been charged or not, so we had to take time to call the bank and follow this up ourselves.
Room reasonable size, with balcony, and kept well and clean.
Noisy corridors in early ish morning. Check out time...since they need to check the room, and I had a dirty sheet cover issue, this took a while, so just need to ensure that guests are aware of a potential 30 minute checkout time during busy periods..

so noisy out side from early morning by people walking around resort. and I've asked for changing small bills at the service desk but got denied by a guy (well, i'm not sure if it's really hard to do it for me, he was trying to hide the cash box from me). So I went to the store at the ground floor for changing small bills. I couldn't just ask for it so I bought a gum and I tried to give 500 peso but got denied because gum is around 10 peso?.. well 10 peso is still money.
