The feeling of "a home away from home" the staff. The location. The friendly atmosphere.
Bar and restauRant pool area all good relaxing place.
My room wasn't cleaned first day. Fridge not topped up, during my 3 day stay. Not picked up at airport.
The employees here are quick to respond when help is needed or when simply answering questions or booking tours. There is a genuine sense of care for your comfort and wellbeing.
Delightful family run hotel set around a tropical garden with bar / restaurant and a pool. Room was very comfortable and clean, and location is at back from street so no noise. Excellent wifi. Complimentary fruit juice and airport pick-up and drop-off. Staff friendly. 25 peso trike ride, or twenty minute walk, to town centre.
No in - room safe. Breakfast was basic. When checking out visa network was down, so had to pay cash. I don't believe this was a hotel issue.
The ambiance of the place, the fine art selection, the architecture and design of the rooms, the elegant Roman-inspired toilet facilities (in our room at least!) The staff were so friendly and accommodating, from the reception to the F&B staff. Oh, and their food is great - in taste and amount of serving! If I would have a chance to go back to Puerto Princesa and simply laze away and not do tours, I'd definitely stay at Dolce Vita and truly savor the sweet life! Great going, guys! Thank you for your hospitality.
Fanatastic stay. Has an atmosphere unlike traditional hotel stay. Very homey. Loved it. Staff was very pleasant.
the friendly & helpful staff the environment - quiet, clean & serene
wifi could be stronger
Very spacious, friendly staff, nice garden and pool area.
The beds weren't that comfortable (but they weren't awful either), and the pillows weren't plump enough.
I like the whole facilities its excellent especially our room its very clean and classy, the restaurant served us delicious foods, the swimming pool is well maintained its clean and warm, the staffs are very friendly and they assisted us in many ways such as tour planning, needs in our room like cleaning and ordering of our food. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and for sure by next year, on our next vacation as couple we will book again in this hotel.
The only thing that I did not like in this hotel is the water supply. On our first day, early in the morning we had no water in the faucet and shower but when I reported to the front desk they immediatley resolved the problem and since then till the rest of our stay we never had again any water shortage problem
The location is very accesible to city proper. Room is big enough. Pool is clean. Quiet. Breakfast is delicious.
Ants that were crawling from the trees that goes through the room.
we love everything about the place :)
We all enjoyed our stay at DolceVita. The staff are accommodating. Will recommend the place to my friends.
the view and granted the early check in free airport transfer
poor quality of service of staffs there's a bed bugs and mosquitoes unchewable food aircon suddenly turned off in the middle of the night unable to make up room but reminded the staff to do it wifi turned off and restarted after a while
staff and facilities especially the pool. Front office staff were particularly friendly and efficient. I thought that there was real value for money here
Nice garden, quiet place, restaurant food was ok, room nice size, helpful staff
Mosquitoes in room (though they do spray if asked).
Great friendly little hotel, the staff are amazing and very helpful. I was a disabled guest and found the staff to be very helpful indeed. I was met the owner and shared a few drinks with him in the evening and found him to be very kind and helpful. This hotel is small, but relaxing and great placed to rest.
Well run hotel. Friendly staff. Good restaurant for breakfast & dinner.
Call to prayer from a nearby mosque was too loud & annoying several times a day.
V cool aircon, spacious room and bed...
Complimentary pick up from the Airport to the Hotel with a short 5 minute commute made the arrival simple and stress free. Great service from the Hotel staff upon arrival and throughout the duration of our stay. Hotel has a beautiful tranquil feel with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Great value for money with the added benefit of having the tour agencies on site at the hotel premises allowing for easy scheduling of various tour packages (Honda Bay Island hopping is the best tour package). We would highly recommend the hotel and would use again in the future.
nothing to fault on the hotel. Staff, rooms, service was all top quality.
The staffs are nice. The place has this homey vibe. The pool was okay. Shower rooms, beds, etc are superb.
The wifi wasn't working. Although, I think it was temporary. But during our first morning, another guest was complaining abt it and they said they've been unable to use the wifi since they arrived 3 days prior. I hope they alrdy fixed it.
Villa - very attractive room, nice 4 poster bed. The whole place is attractive and well maintained. Nice pool area. Very good staff. Restaurant has a fair choice of reasonably priced dishes, and staff are happy to adapt to customer preferences.
wifi was so slow I could not download a flight booking.
if i went back to puerto princesa for vacation again, i will still stay at Dolce Vita Hotel. i will strongly recommend the Hotel. The staff are friendly.
Stayed 3N/4D in April 2014 over Easter wknd PROS: Time of year: a lot less busy than I expected for Easter (compared to Boracay, for example). It could be that guests were off on tours during the day. Either way, if you wanted to relax during the day, DVH didn't feel crowded. We had lunch x 3; each time, no more than one other table. Weather fab. Hot, sunny. Only rained briefly in the pm. Location: close to airport (10 min drive) Property: situated down a small street off the main road, DVH is private (has very high walls surrounding the perimeter). Even from the second floor, there is no view of the adjacent property. Lush well manicured greenery offer plenty of shade. A small pool with separate change room/shower/bathroom nearby - convenient! No need to run back to your room to use the loo! Beach towels also available for rent for PHP20. Restaurant: extensive Pilipino & Western menu. Except for one dish (crispy pata, I think), all dishes were under PHP400. Tasty food. Recommend the chicken or pork adobo, lumpia or tuna belly (lightly battered and fried). The appetiser calamari was ok (too much batter) and the main calamari dish was healthy but not too flavourful. 60% of all fish distributed in the Phils comes from Palawan so, most fish dishes will be a safe bet b/c it's fresh. Can't go wrong with mangos, either :) Another nice touch which I haven't seen at any other B&B in the Phils is the restaurant's free coffee station serving hot coffee, tea and Milo hot chocolate all day. You just help yourself. There's also a filtered water cooler next to the station - again, free/convenient. Room: we stayed in the Lotus room, 2nd floor. Fine for us as we travel light but may be a problem to access for those with big suitcases since the winding staircase to the 2nd/F is quite small.
Nothing really to complain about but if I had to, I would suggest more Western options for breakfast (I was fine but my bf was not keen).
The staff are great, and super friendly. the rooms was a good size, and great value for money,
The food needs work, I must say that who ever is in their kitchen does not have a clue on what is tasty, Was going to offer them a lesson in cooking, but thought it might be a bit cheeky. If they sprt this out is would be a wonderful place to stay.
