The private and clean beach that Friday has..
Wifi in the room ain't that strong as the port is on the outside .. And if I were to stay outside (which I would love to do so as I can enjoy the breeze ) I'll be attacked by the commandos mosquitoes
Excellent location, peaceful and serene. Excellent beach and bbq buffet every friday
aircon keeps on stopping due to lots of brownouts, its a pity half of the resort is fenced but it didn"t bother us much
Location is amazing, staff is also very nice! The room was above expectations!
There is not anymore swimming pool and gym, they cut half of the territory, but the price remained the same! Overpriced!
the location is good. It is at the beginning of S1 where you can enjoy the white sand and quiet environment and busy entertainment zone with a few steps.
The pool is closed. There's limited choice for the breakfast.
Construction going on next door makes it very noisy. Also place is getting tired. Need for a upgrade ASAP.
location, with a wide beach front and away from the crowd
many bug (esp. flys) on the restaurant
Service & staff; outstanding
When we visited, half off resort was closed off (incl pool)
Excellent service, fabulous beach & location
Hard to think of anything
The location, the gorgeous beach, the very friendly and efficient staff. The Friday night's BBQ bufret. The transfer from Caticlan airport.
The construction going on next door. Workers started hammering at 6:30am... The towels at the beach were old and even though they were clean, stains remained. Food was OK but nothing surprising.
loved the daily message in a bottle. beautiful white soft sand on a quite secluded part of the beach/ coastline loved the 3hr happy hour
wasn't clear from staff that for breakfast you could pick one thing from the entire menu - thought it was just the front page on the first day. the towels on the sun lounges were old - but that's just being a bit picky
The location was perfect, right on the beach. The pick up and drop off was well organised and punctual, the staff were all very pleasant and accommodating, the BBQ's organised by Fridays were fantastic, the food all fresh and delicious. Loved the hammock on the porch. Our room was clean and spacious albeit the view not quite what we expected.
The resort itself is dated and rundown, the sea view room we paid for was obstructed, by trees and having to walk up and down all those stairs to get to the resort from the drop off/pick up point was inconvenient especially if one has a medical condition. The beach is hardly private when you have people walking across the beach morning to night to get to other places on Boracay and when anyone can walk in and pay to use the sun beds provided for Fridays guests. We would probably not stay at this resort again.
I have stayed at Fridays before, and love the location and the the beach resort feel of it.
Fridays is quite dated now, the beds were very uncomfortable and the air conditioning units were old, noisey and dirty. It needs to be updated/renovated if they want to keep charging the high prices for rooms.
loved the daily message in a bottle. the hotel staff were really good with all of our requests, and lovely and friendly. the 3 hour happy hour is fantastic, and the cocktails were great. loved the breakfast options and the staff got to know our regular coffee and juice orders : )
need new towels for the sun lounges
*the hotel staff were excellent in answering our request and questions. from first time you arrive in the reception entrance you are treated with priority. *the hotel transportation from hotel to Aklan airport were first class treatment. *location of hotel was more than perfect for comfort and quiet. private beach is true, and one of the best places in Boracay. *we loved the swing in the porch and the daily "Message in a Bottle" that is so clever, thoughtful and romantic". the hotel was so good we extended our stay 2 nights more. I strongly recommend this hotel and definitely we will be staying at this hotel again. *real value for money compared to other Boracay resorts.
breakfast options were limited.
Construction next door and noise
The hotel is placed at the very best part of the White beach - at the widest part of it - just at the beginning so you it's more private yet very close to bats and cafes. The hotel consists of bungalows which makes it very quite and private, the beach is well equipped.
We were staying at the hotel just while the Haiyan typhoon. We arrived 4 days before the typhoon, but the hotel didnt inform us about it. We found out about it ourselves by accident. In the hotel there was now any information about the risk and suggestion what to do. We decided to leave earlier but didnt face the hotel stuff support, we luckily caught the last boat to Calibo and the hotel took a penalty for 1 night for the stay. The stuff and the service should get much improved.
quiet location direct at the beach, but only some 15 min beach walk away from the nightlife area, houses in traditional style with nice veranda with a hammock to chill, perfect pick up at the airport in Caticlan with immediate quick transfer, welcome drink - highly recommendable for tourists that are looking for a place to relax in the upper price and service segment.
The location is on the best part of the beach!
The price is a bit stiff.
The service was fantastic and i think this is one of the main reasons to stay at Fridays. They don't really advertise that they pick you up from the airport, but they arrange it all for you, which is fantastic and saves you from organising this through another company. The transfer staff Gerry and Bhong were brilliant. We laid on the beautiful beach (or sun lounges really) for days. JoJo was fantastic and he quietly went about his job, fixing things for guests, helping other staff and even helping me when I had a little jellyfish sting, coming and checking to make sure I was ok. Fridays was a lovely place to stay, an easy walk on the beach or a 50 peso tricycle ride to the DMall (which is not a mall, but more of an open air shopping place where there are the stalls and food/restaurant area).
The facilities are a bit dated. It was a lovely little place, but if you are looking for new with top of the range facilities, this is not it-we'd call it cosy, but we loved it all the same.
Old age icon. Thanks God Boracay is still as it was many many years ago. Friday's has not changed.
New age Boracay is encroaching more and more onto Friday's. A lot of developments on the island. Boracay has changed.
Hands down, this is the best resort on white beach. Staff is great, very helpfull and accommodating, the rooms are lovely and the private beach is superior to all others on white beach. We started by booking two nights and ended up spending our full two weeks in Boracay at this resort. In short, Fridays Boracay is highly recommended, it might be slightly more expensive than other resorts on white beach but it is absolutely worth it.
the beach is beautiful, good location that is for sure, only 15 min. walk from de down town and not many people in the beach since it is at the end of the beach, what is good, very friendly the staff and nice people and the pick up was arranged good no problems all friendly people there
we had a construcution next door and started at 9 am with the sound of air hammers ... untill 12 and the at 1 pm untill 5 pm, horrible , so far for the relaxation, nothing they could do ofcourse about it but they should mention it so we would defintly not stay there those days , since we came there for the relaxing quietness and to be away from manila for a few days .............even on the beach you could her the hammering brrrrrrrr the food was so so , no breakfast buffet, only a la card , but you can order what you want ...no problem, but not what you expect in a 4 star resort as they claim , only on friday they had a dinner buffet,, also they charge you on top of all the price 12 % vat and also 10% service charge 100 peso eco tax and 100 peso terminal charge .... so you book at the end thuy charge you almost 25% higher..... on the booking and the food THAT SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR BEFORE YOU BOOK, BEWARE PRICES ARE 25% HIGHER THEN WE TELL YOU!!!! for children nothing top do no activitys oriented for children, just a small pool table and a tennis table ... no daycare or nannys to rent the rooms are a bid old , they are big but it is an old resort already , and it shows, for me not the value for the money we paid, on the site you pay 24 000 peso and your card they charge all and all 31,000 peso for 3 nights, one room and 2 people .
