My boyfriend and I booked there for the tour packages they offer. I was hesitant at first because their room was cheap, yet they still offer breakfast but still I booked. With the rooms, they are actually quite ok, the linens were fresh, the AC is working well, there is cable television, and hot and cold shower. Their breakfast, were the traditional puto and filipino pandesal with coffee which were ok for me too. The big pro really of tHarold's Mansion was the tour to twin lakes and casaroro falls, it was cheap for 800 each gud for 4persons, but my boyfriend and I felt like if it was with another host it couldve cost us much more. We had a lot of memories with us, plus the driver who took us there was very good and kind, on our way to our destinations, he would usually stop the car so we can takE pictures and he would even take the photo for us. When we stopped at Harold's ecolodge after our trek to the casaroro falls, the care takers were kind enough to prepare snacks for us for free, and not only that he also took us to the redrock hotspring ,so 800 for 3 destinations in one day is quite a good deal already, with snacks, fruits, and transportation.
aside from the driver who took us to the tour, Nova the receptionist on afternoon shift and the guy who opens the door for us, the other staffs were a little bit terrible. When asked about some informations like what to see in dumaguete, other tours, or where to buy something, they don't have any clue. I dont know if they know the place that well or are they really that tired for their shift to atleast squeeze out some informations or ideas to atleast try answering their guests queries.
