The owner of the place was very friendly. The staff are polite and helpful. The place is comfortable and clean. Super cold a/C. Great view and many other great stuff. My dog loved it there too. When I go to Tagaytay again, this place is DEFINITELY at the top of my list and I will not bother to try any other hotel if I can secure a place in the desired dates. Two thumbs up to Manos, the manager of the place. (I hope I am spelling his name right) People who have problem with insects, (Mosquitoes, ants, etc.) would need to know where they are going. You are going to a villa-like place surrounded with greenery. And that comes with a price. You will have ants around you and some mosquitoes. The place has insect nets on all the openings (I.E. doors, windows, etc.) but you will face some insects around. Then again, as I said, if you are too concerned about the insects, perhaps you shouldn't choose gardens in the first place. I love the nature so I enjoyed every bit there. The insects were not a problem to us. We never had the chance to try the restaurant so I cannot comment on the food/service.
