Had to cross noisy road to reach beach and restaurant. White beach is now very commercialised and bit crowded, but that's not Joni's fault!
Very nice staff, close to beach
Noisy aircon. Room faces staircase & doors of other rooms, it was noisy when people talked walking to & from their room, & banged their doors loudly to close.
Great staff! Very warm & helpful.
No free drinking water provided.
Beautiful spot in Station 1,.
The food in the restaurant is excellent..
The only thing that bugged me was happy hour. The menu says 50% off drinks during happy hour, so I ordered a Mango Vodka with soda which isn't 50% off (that wasn't clear on the menu). When I got the bill it was full price for the vodka, and they charged me extra for the soda. I found that very petty. It's the only place I have ever been charged extra for mix. Needless to say, ask the server about happy hour before getting carried away with drink orders. This turned me off eating or drinking there for the rest of my week. They would have made a lot of money off me if they didn't charge for the drink mix. I don't like to be ripped off.
The staff was great, the location was less than a block to the night action and just across the street from the beach. The place is old but that is what you get in Boracay. It's nice for Boracay standards. I would go back.
Super friendly staff, great service, amazing breakfast with view, comfortable A/C rooms!
actually no resort, no pool, very basic bathroom;
perfect beach-site,station 1, Outstanding Breakfast, Dinner, shakes and cocktails, perfect-pick-up-service; wonderful&helpful staff;
Excellent team service
Nothing. If you can afford to I would recommend upgrading room as the bottom floor ones are quite dark with no natural light, but this is not a negative from us, just a recommendation.
The staff were lovely, the restaurant attached is superb. The rooms are lovely and clean. The location it great as it's far enough from craziness so it's not noisy, but close enough if you want to experience the bars and music
The staff at the hotel were very welcoming, friendly and helpful!!
The staff at Jonys went above and beyond. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing!!
There is nothing I didn't like. The only thing I would change is a room on the 2nd floor with a view. Granted we weren't in our room a whole lot which is why I am saying there really isn't anything I didn't like. Rooms are clean.
Amazing things about this resort: -This is the best location on the beach, as its a two minute walk to the busier area where music is blaring and drums are beating and everything is more lively. Every night while walking home we were glad that we weren't in those other hotels and that we could make the short walk back to ours where it was much quieter. I can't imagine sleeping would be easy with all of that noise. -The staff responded immediately when I missed a connection, making sure someone was at the port to greet me. -I suffered an injured foot at the airport and the driver stopped at a pharmacy en route to the hotel to make sure I was taken care of. - ***Maya Restaurant*** the best fried oysters I have ever eaten in my life! -Francis and Rey were amazing servers and took great care of us all day. -The avocado shake at Shake Shack is to die for! mmmmm
Location and friendly restaurant staff
nice staff, great location and the restaurant as location, food quality and diversity and the staff are professional and friendly
Food, location and hospitable staff.
The Wi-Fi connection was frustrating at times
Very accommodating and friendly service and the location in my opinion was on the best part of the beach.
The internet is a bit of a joke as it has no capacity so while it might work one minute it will surely not work the next.
The staff was really nice and always very helpful.
Building and furniture are old so don't expect anything luxurious. For same reason, it never feels 100% clean (still good enough). They charge way too much for airport transfers (I mean we're in Philippines, 60 USD is a lot!). Overall it's expensive for what it is, but I enjoyed my stay.
Perfect location, 5 mins distance from station 2. Close enough if you want to be close to parties and far enough for a peaceful sleep. Amazing breakfast and extremely helpful staff. They also provide 10% discount in nice restaurants. The beach in front of the hotel is amazing.
The hotel staff is excellent and would not say no for anything, however absurd or outrageous our requests were. They upgraded us free of cost and were very helpful. My spouse is a vegetarian and Maya's restaurant got her the best food and the chef even made her some special vegetarian dishes so she would not get bored. The breakfast too was customised to her taste. This hotel deserves to be rated as a 10 in my opinion.
Not beach front.
Politeness,service with a smile. They try their best to make your stay comfortable Quiet segment of the beach strip.
Great location, away from the busy areas. The room was spacious and bed comfortable. Wifi was good. Breakfast was very good, even though it wasn't buffet style. Special thanks to Rey for making our stay more enjoyable.
I cannot think of anything really negative.
Excellent reception. Although we were contractually liable for a 7 night stay the reception staff only charged us for the 6 nights we actually stayed. Breakfast and restaurant very good. Located nicely towards one end of the beach with shops, bars etc easily accessible by road or along the beach.
the view of the room on the 1st floor. we couldn't draw back the curtains even once during the stay. and restroom was little small. (comparing to the size of the room)
very kind staff, good breakfast with great view, quite beach(comparing to bustling station 3)
- We think the major problem is breakfast. The hotel part and breakfast cafe is seperated by road. When you reach there; cafe staff is immediately asking your asking coupons before you take your seat. They are not as kind as reception staff and cannot speak good english as well. So they can't understant what you are trying to order. Breakfast options are also limited. "Not open buffet" They give you 1 page menu and you have to choose from those limited options. We almost had to discuss with the staff for 1 more slice of bread one day. - There was a room construction very close to our room and they started very early everyday. we warn the reception about the noise and they try to reduce it.
We stayed for 5 nights. We love the location. It is very close to white beach. Staff in reception were very kind and friendly. Room was big and good.
Staff was fantastic, we were there over Halloween and they all dressed up in creative costumes. The restaurant "Mayas" which is right across the street has the same owner, and delicious, reasonably priced food. All in all, the perfect place to explore Boracay
