The restaurant has a limited selection of food in the buffet. Didn't really miss anything with breakfast or dinner. The hotel is a bit small for a prominent hotel in the city and it can be crowded with weddings, birthdays, company parties and other events. While it is a common business or leisure hotel, in Cebu apparently it is one of "the" hotels so expect events almost every now and then, which means it can be crowded and so there is no little cranny to call your own or read in silence other than your room or if you're lucky, the pool side.
Location - it is in the heart of the business district of the city. Very accessible and is closed to restaurants. Ayala Center, reputably the most popular mall in the city, is literally a sneeze away! So if you're not into the hotel food, you have lots to choose from at your backyard! Marriot has an outdoor pool with hospitable pool staff. Many of the staff are polite except for the one on evening duty in the lounge bar was rude and lazy, almost not willing to take an order, tried to pass me on to another staff. The housekeeping on the 11th floor are superb! Very professional in what they do - they take care of the room almost every time you leave! They pay attention to details!
