Water heater is very poor. And poor wifi.
The garden is very beautiful, very philipine style! The staff is very nice, and the room is clean. I love the balcony out the room which is very comfortable and sweet!

Have been travelling for 7 months & I can honestly say that Melindas garden was one of the cutest & nicest we've stayed at. Melinda herself could not have been more friendly & helpful from advising us on the best place to get a massage to providing us with information for our onward travels. It's only a short walk to the busy part of station 2 which meant we could enjoy the nightlife but we didn't have clubs right beside us! Also at the quieter part of the beach so it wasnt too crammed during the day! Nice porch area with a hammock to enjoy free coffee in the mornings! Boracay is a lovely island but having such a nice place to stay definitely made a difference!

For the cost of over $100/night you received nothing more than the room itself. The towels were not changed, nor was the bedding, in three nights. The last day the bed wasn't even made, the sheet was just folded up and left at the end of the bed. The fridge wasn't functional, the wifi signal was extremely low in the room and water was not provided. Third world service is fine but charge third world prices accordingly.
The people who work at Melinda's Garden were really friendly, the location is steps from the beach in Station 3 which has a quieter, more relaxing vibe.

we could hear the noise of those people occupying the second floor, hence, we cannot sleep unless the people staying on the second floor are already asleep.

Mosquito net over bed was very usefull. Lots of flying and crawling insects in the area. Listening to mating cats and humans was pleasantly amusing.

The cockeral being a little confused about when dawn was! But not a big problem :)
Welcomed with a huge smile, And throughout the trip the staff were the highlight. The location was perfect. 40 seconds walk to the beach, away from the loud music, but close enough to nip to a bar or restaurant. Station 3 is quieter but still fun, cheaper prices, less frills, but in our opinion more beautiful than station 2 which has everything you need in 10 mins on a bike or 20 mins on foot. The sailing boats are great fun. The fish market is authentic and fascinating, the local food and thai food were stunning. Overall a dreamy getaway.

Not important to me, but not all rooms have hot water and air conditioning - so be sure you book the appropriate room with the amenities that suit you.
Melinda's Garden is a little piece of Heaven, tucked slightly away from the hustle of White Beach lively action. It's close enough for easy access, but a nice peaceful haven just steps away from White Beach.

No soap etc. provided. Only shampoo. The biggest problem was: I didn't pay before leaving as I usually always pre-pay my accommodation online, and I thought this was the case with my booking here. Not one member of the staff asked me to pay either when I checked in or checked out. A few days later I received an email from the manager accusing me of purposefully leaving without paying, even though this was due to a simple misunderstanding and really, also due to the fault of the staff for not reminding me to pay. In this day and age where over 90% of accommodation is pre-paid, the staff really need to remind guests to pay, especially considering there is an option on booking.com to allow pre-payment which Melinda's Gardens just has chosen not to use. I do not appreciate being treated like a criminal by this establishment. Moreover, I am now out over US$30 in international bank transfer fees as I had to transfer the money for my stay back to Boracay. Despite this misunderstanding, I may have been back to Melinda's Gardens again if it was for the fact that I was accused of being a criminal. So a warning to others staying here: make sure you insist on paying when you leave, as the staff sure as hell won't remind you. I guess they would also like you to tell them how much you should pay, since apparently the staff won't be aware of this. Quite bizarre really.
I was upgraded to a bigger room without asking and at no cost. The bungalows are really nice. Nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Station 2.

the room was a little bare bones, and not a great value for the price - but it's Boracay during the holiday season, after all.
great location - set back a bit from the noisy strip, but still close to the action. We arrived very late, and the very sweet staff were expecting us. Then we overslept the next morning, and she very graciously allowed us to check out a little late without penalty.

Wifi signal not so strong
We were in the busy area for a week and needed some chill time, the room is great, awesome balcony and good bathroom.

For this price we would expect hot shower, also the water pressure was at least in our upper cottage very low and therefore it took a while until we washed away all the sand from our bodies.
Very friendly and helpful staff, cozy cottages with delicious breakfast served right on the porch, quite part of the Boracay beach.

Wifi only worked on porch (although our room was furthest away). Smell of mould until fan turned on or windows opened, noise from hut above. No hot shower.
Hut style rooms, close to beach, friendly & helpful staff, good cable tv, fridge, free coffee, hammock & porch, spacious.

The hotel has bedbugs, we had to check out after 1 night when we were bitten by bugs. In addition, the fan room does not have hot water in the shower. The staff say "hot water" means hot water for tea/coffee in the morning. I would not recommend to stay there for your own safety.

Roosters nearby some times having a chat at 4am
The setting is just beautiful. All the furniture, and I mean all of it, is hand crafted, including the 4 poster bamboo bed frame. If you are not a fancy pants, this place is great

Low season they were renovating, During the day it was a building sight ,the noise unbearable, should have been 500p mosquitoes, , also my room not ready at 5pm check in.

Nothing much. If you're more of the party-loving, noise-hugging kind of person, and who also hates walking, Melinda's Garden isn't for you.
The staff especially the owners. They're so warm and accommodating. Melinda's Garden is the perfect place for those who want a peaceful night away from the revelry common at Station 2. Price is super-friendly. The owners are easy to talk to. For a nipa hut inspired accommodation, the clean and tiled bathroom is thumbs up!

Wifi signal didn't always quite reach the end hut.
Staff were lovely. The huts - Boracay has little of this type of accommodation left. The peace and quiet. Less than 1 minute to the least developed part of White Beach. Some nice and cheaper places to eat nearby.

- The internet was really slow, one line signal. - There was no hot water.
- Friendly and helpful staff. - The mosquito net was really useful. - The owner (Melinda) cooked a traditional Philippine dinner, which was a chicken boiled inside a coconut with rise and a coconut wine.

Kubo, duyan, bamboo lamp, bed with kulambo and the garden...

The superior room much worst then the standard one. The aircon very laud & unpleasant smell from the toilet(freshly painted?) as well smaller than a standard room.
Standard room was basic but very cozy. Good value for money.
