Nice town to stay and visit the underground river and some nice beaches in the area. There are some good restaurants and some good sea food restaurants. On our last we eat in Kalui Seafood restaurant, a real treat!

Like other cities in the PHL, Puerto Princesa has changed a lot over the past 30 years. More people, more vehicles, more shops, more resorts. One thing that has not changed YET is the respectfulness and courteousness of the local folks.
The highlight of Coron is its many options on island hopping tours.
The highlight of Busuanga is the Calauit Island -- a mini-Kenyan or Tanzanian Safari. The giraffe feeding event in Calauit is more enjoyable than in any giraffe safari in the world due to the sheer number of giraffe that goes to the feeding area.
The highlight of El Nido is its lovely high end resort and the twin lakes tour.
The highlight of Puerto Princesa is the Underground Cave.
San Vicente is now being developed as another option. Its beach is very long so this looks promising.
Having experienced the Palawan highlights, I am content with the peace and quiet at the Dolce Vita Hotel. Important for me is Dolce Vita's clean and deep swimming pool.

We stayed at the Astoria.
We stayed at the Astoria. The one thing that surprised me was they didn't take me ATM cards. I did have credit cards available and my traveling companion was local so I was able to work around it. The bed was a little firm, other than that, the room was perfect. They said the room didn't have a view, but the place is so pretty, the view of the grounds was still magnificent. Especially with the ocean peaking around the next building. The nightly show at dinner was great and the staff was sooooooo nice. We arranged a few tours and saw things like Port Barton and the Underground River. The island is beautiful and I would definitely go back.

The room (Water Villa) was good.
The room (Water Villa) was good. But the beaches are horrible and the food quality is extremely poor.. overall experience was disappointing. One would be better off booking at The or the Ritz Carlton for the same price.

People are really friendly. Loved being around the locals.
People are really friendly. Loved being around the locals. Food is cheap for such a touristy place. Getting around is easier than I imagined. Hired a driver with a van to scoot us around. Way cheaper than getting one from the hotel and more relaxing than renting and driving your own vehicle. Can’t wait to go back!

Food was good at the Reserve Restaurant. That was the only restaurant that was open during our stay (low season, october)
Rooms were spacious and super clean. Good for families!
Staff were genuinely nice and helpful. Always greeting 😊
1 visit to the waterpark was also amazing!
Nice extra was the dry laundry self service at the Nest.
Everything was really good. There was nice smell everywhere! 😊
Good quality for the money!!!
This was our best stay in Palawan! 🤩
(We stayed in 3 other resorts)
Although we only spent 1 night there, the owner was extremely helpful. He helped us book a tour for the next day in Puerto Princesa, then arranged our transport from the tour straight to El Nido, and even helped us book a tour in El Nido for a cheaper price. Everything went smoothly , we were picked up everywhere as planned. The hotel itself is also really nice, it's a small, family-owned business with nice rooms, aircon and good food for a good price.
The location is great, I walked from the airport going to the hostel, plenty of restaurants around the corner, ATM just beside the hostel, and I also walked going to the mall. Staff are warm welcoming, and helpful, they even helped me to arrange Underground river tour and a van transfer going to elnido at the same day which save me a lot of time, they also told me some local tips. I would stay here again when I come back to puerto princesa.
The inn is located near by airport. If you fly to puerto Princesa airport do not take taxi/tricycle. There is free shuttle to SM shopping mall. Then take a walk to your hotel. Anyway, the Mariafe inn is a nice place to stay. I would recommend. The staff is very helpful. The owner of the inn is always around to help you. Breakfast is ok. And water pressure is ok too. They have nice garden. Thank you.
We loved everything. Wouldn’t really come back to Puerto princesa but if I had to I would definitely come back to this hotel. I’d like to point out the staff, that were incredibly friendly and helpful. From the security guards to the service staff. I’m not sure if I have ever felt more welcomed then in this hotel. everything is super clean there was really nothing to complain about!
First time namin dito sa Puerto Princesa kaya we really sought the recommendation of my cousin who is a local in PPS. We requested for a hotel that is conveniently located near the attractions and food places. Also, we have a certain budget lang. This was recommended to us which I can say 101% na perfect recommendation for travelers like us.
Location is very close to the airport, we ask hotel to arrange airport pick up for us. And only 5 mins walk to the main street, shops and restaurants around. Very convenience. And they also help us to book for the next day's van to El Nido. Nice place to stay when you have a short stay in Puerto Princesa.
The couple who runs the hostel are amazing people. I won't trade the hospitality they gave me over a 5-star hotel. It felt like home away from home. They are one of the kindest hostel owners I've met in my solo travels. I will be back to Palawan and I will definitely stay here again. You won't regret it.
It is a modern establishement, very clean. The
bed is comfortable. The staff is very helpful, even they helped me a signed assignment for private use to produce. It is a very good value to check out Puerto Princesa and the surroundings.
It’s a lovely oasis in the heart of Puerto Princesa. Not far from the airport. We were allowed to stay by the pool after checking out to wait for our flight. The staff was very helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent.
Balai Princesa was the best hotel I did in Palawan in term of confort, services and value for money. The room was spacious and clean. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was great. I recommend this hotel.
