Score from 6 reviews Wonderful
We had some makeup go missing from the room. The listing said private beach and it was misleading, i got a better place on the strip closer to the beach. I would not stay there again.
The outside landscape is so close to nature which was great for relaxing and balancing. The parrot is so cute.
The room interior is old, there is mosquitos in the room
The hotel was clean and nice. Staff was great. I arrived after dinner time but the staff accommodated me... they made an awesome cheese burger. Great place for R & R
About 7 to 10 minutes walk from the beach (for swimming) as well as restaurants, shopping area and night life. Local transportion is cheap though.
All staff went out of their way to help us, the pool was 1 metre from our room, they brought breakfast to our room for us and served us drinks by the pool all day. The view of the sea was lovely, we were a little far out from white beach but that was great in the day, perfect for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Would definitely stay again.
The young man on the staff was especially oustanding! We felt very comfortable and welcomed by him from the first day there. He saw that we were watching their bird and brought us bread so we could feed the bird and take pictures. The hotel had beach towels and swimming goggles to use free of charge. The pool was really nice, the view was outstanding, it was removed from the main area of Boracay so it was peaceful and it was not overrun with tourists and people trying to sell us things. Loved the dining huts right on the water where we could eat our breakfast. The VIP room was well-priced and really spacious with a strong A/C unit, a good TV, a nice table with chairs plus a balcony with another couple of chairs and a table. Really comfortable bed and plenty of shelf space for storing luggage. The staff at the gate was very helpful with getting transportation to white beach, which was about 15 minutes walking.
Some reviews stated that this was really run-down. I don't agree that it is so run-down to the point it's not a pleasant stay, but it is indeed in need of some TLC. Holes in the ceiling and the roof should be repaired and the lighting in the rooms should be updated so it's not so dim. Probably because we were nearing the off-season, but this hotel felt almost deserted. I think we may have been one of only two groups of guests staying there. It felt a bit awkward at times, and we felt like we were inconveniencing them a bit by using the facilities since they had to open them just for us. Much of the dinner menu has to be ordered 6 hours ahead of time and the bar/restaurant closes early, so although we wanted to eat there one of the nights, we just got a pizza instead. They don't have a map of the area to give to guests for convenient walking around, so plan to get a motorbike or tricycle to bring you back if you don't know where you are. The first day, the manager/owner (i think) talked to us about payment for everything and said it would be fine for us to pay for everything plus meals in cash when we check out. So, we confirmed on the day before check out that it was still alright and told her we would pay that night since we'd be leaving early the next morning and went to the ATM to withdraw all of the cash to pay. Unfortunately, when we returned with the cash she had already charged my credit card for about 75% of the total bill, so we were charged the foreign transcation fee on the card, plus the fee for the ATM withdrawal, the fee to get foreign currency from our bank, and the fee to change the pesos back to USD when we left since we had about $200 extra cash after that. It was very frustrating and there was no apology from the manager or offer to cancel the card charge and take the cash, so it was a disappointing end to our stay. Overall, despite these negative points the resort is still a great choice and a good value.
Very relaxing place away from the crowded place.
No service pick up from the Boracay Pier to Hotel. Away from the beach front, we have to walk 15 minutes to reach the beach.
Nice gardens and pool, and friendly parrot.
Fantastic resort with superb staff
Good and clean location
The room we were in was outdated....the tap, electric outlet and screen door were broken. Food was a bit pricey.
The beautiful landscaping, steady cooler breeze, quiet except when dogs barked, interesting beach, rock and seaweed for a distance. very close to Bulongba windsurfing beach.
meal prices were high. breakfast at resort = to dinner on the beach. Safes in two rooms we had didn't work and we were robbed in both rooms. My jewelry case and cash from my sons' room the thief was smart enough to only take part of the cash, where someone may question their own spending. I had a false sense of security as there is a locked fence with a guard. In a hurry, I only hid the case instead of locking it in my suitcase. When U troed ti report the incident management was not available and I don't feel I was taken seriously.
The hotel is situated away from the hustle of the crowds and the staff was excellent I would stay there again no problem
They don't have a beach but they do have a pool and bar and only mins away from the main beach
The hotel has a great sea view and it is located on the quiet side of the Island while still being within 10 min walk from White Beach. It is good value for money
The Hotel has two dogs living within the facilities 24h/7 and they are barking very often, as early as 6h in the morning, as late a 2h at night. Nobody seams to try to stop them. This hotel is great because it is calm environment, but those 2 dogs ruin the whole experience.. That's an easy fix ...
staff are friendly
poor standard of rooms and facilities. beach is unusable. too far from main attractions. totally miss sold by hotels own website and your website
Friendly staff. Quiet.
Appeared run down and in need of some tender loving care especially the gardens and exterior buildings. I was led to believe it was a short walk to white sand beach but actually it was far to far to walk with family. Photo's on website are very deceiving as pool appeared a lot bigger than it was.
Clean room. Staff are normal, played with our kid
Prices: the hotel is old, not so good and is located far from white beach, got no interesting things to see, but prices for food, service are higher than in any other hotels of 3,4,5*. It seems that they want to get money as much as possible from each client checked in the hotel. We payed 700-1000 pesos for each breakfast we had. And you'd got to be prepared to pay 10% for service added to each bill.
The staff could have not been any more helpful, they were all fantastic and made our stay feel really special. Food was excellent and good value. Location was also good, out of the way of white beach.
Rooms were a little dated and need refurbing.
nothing was what it showed on internet
just a sheet on bed and it didn't stay on, no blanket...was a 1 star rated hotel no beach as they say they have one u just cant get on it blocked off
The dining room colours and set up very warm and cosy. The yards and set up was also good. Pool was a great asset to the business in position and view perspectives. The security guard at the gate was also comforting. The service of the metre Dee was well received.
Staff: When ordering food they got our order wrong every time. Even though they could talk ok they didn't understand English at all. Animals: The dogs barking kept us awake during the day, early morning and evening. We asked that the dogs be kept quiet but it just didn't happen. In fact they viewed the dogs as being more important than us. Cute dogs but very annoying after a while, in fact the dogs were treated as a focal point of the discussions rather than our interests. Room: The beds were very uncomfortable and only had one sheet provided. Pillows were very hard and not acceptable. The screen door on the shower was broken and couldn't be opened or closed without coming off its hinges. Overall: The hotel was run down and tired looking. I wanted to buy the business so I could make it a special hotel that customers would want to stay there because it was a nice little boutique place that could be made very special if the owners took some pride in it, have trained staff, kept the customers interests first instead of the staff and dogs. The bay is a real asset. We wanted to walk and try the ambience of the area but there was no assistance given to make us take advantage of the hotels service. We tried booking some events through the hotel but that didn’t work out, wrong place wrong price just a disaster. We booked in a massage for the group and the masseuses were hopeless. None of them knew what they were doing in fact for the first time in years I couldn’t wait to get them out of the door. It comes back to the interest of the staff and the owner’s view of how much interest they have in keeping the customer happy. Although we probably won’t come back to the hotel…not because we don’t like the hotel itself…that was great it’s the service and interest in making us happy that was the problem. May I say as the last point the hotel has a lot of potential but the interest and back up for the customer is hopeless.
