This is a very good choice if you want a clean, friendly hotel close to the beach. Its situated on the other side of the main road, cross it and walk down a short path and you're at the beach. Staff is very helpful and friendly, breakfast is good enough. Its a short walk or trike ride from D*Mall and all the restaurants around Station 2 if you like that sort of crowd, but still want a bit more secluded and quiet during the days. Recommended!
Nothing really. A bit noisy on weekends with parties close by but you get that everywhere more or less.
The entire staff at Shoretime was excellent! Extremely friendly and accommodating. We seemed like the only customers during the time of our stay, so I felt like each staff member was especially attentive. Loved the breakfast service!
The only drawback of our stay was that by the second day, we started getting a lot of ants in our room. I'm sure this would have been taken care of if we had notified the staff, but we didn't want to have chemicals sprayed in our room.
Attitude in dealing with the problem.
Breakfast, rooms, silence. Staff. Amenities.
Nothing. Everything was great
Near station 2 but away from the noise.
Nice and friendly staff. Will definitely go back :)
The location of the hotel is great, right smack in between station 1 and 2. with the beach front (in front of Obama Grill, which is directly across the road from the hotel) is one of the cleanest along White Beach. Wifi was consistent and reliable, both in the rooms and the quaint coffee shop, which is a plus for travellers who want to do a bit of work on the side
The attic rooms were really very warm at noon time, seems like a lack of insulation. We transferred to one of the rooms downstairs, which gave us more solace from the extreme mid-day heat, but these rooms somehow had a persistently musty and damp smell, with some of the walls and closets moldy and needing repainting.
Location and cleanliness of the hotel was excelent
Airport transfer was 45 mins late and we were charged 3,500 pesos. We discovered on arrival that we could have done the transfer ourselves for 350 pesos. To pay extra is expected but that is way out of line and would warn future customers of the hotel
Perfect location, just on the white beach, but its best part. To the quiet diniwid beach 15min walk, to d'mall 10min walk. Very clean, very nice staff, very tasty breakfast.
Little noisy at the late evening & night but it is the result of the perfect location, not the drawback of the hotel.
Location is wonderfully awesome Stuff is kind and helpful
Wifi need to be improved.
- Very close access to the beach - Good breakfast options - Staff (reception, restaurant and security) were all friendly
- Very noisy rooms with widows above restaurants below. - Regularly woken up at 5am because of noise from the restaurant or hotel reception staff - Inability to dry clothes in the room after a day at the beach - Very poor wi-fi in the room The first room we stayed in was like a prison cell as it had no external window, and the window it did have opened into the hotel reception area!? The second room we stayed in after requesting a move was smaller on the second level, but the morning noise was unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel and am surprised by the generous reviews.
I liked the hotel staff. Very helpful and always with a smile on their face... they really try to make your vacation more pleasant, effortless and enjoyable. The hotel is clean and close to all the attractions.
I would not recommend it to more quiet couples or families with kids, the ones who want a good night rest, as it is very noisy since early morning until late at night. The breakfast is kind of poor in choices. They have a set of preset breakfast choices which are not very satisfying if you were expecting a buffet type breakfast. Also the wifi in the room kinda poor, but in the lobby area working okey.
Like the friendly staff and the security guard on duty help their guesst to cross the street safely.
I like the service from the staff though the night shift receptionist was kind of odd. Anyhow it's comfortable that breakfast can be served in the room, cafe, restaurant yet the best in the beach front benches. The security guards were so nice to lead us until we cross the obama resto. The location was fantastic and very comfy for thw guests...few steps and you see the beach. The food in obama are all delicious and highly recommended. Over all My stay was definitely great and satisfied with the services in Shoretime hotel. Thanks guys!
What i didn't like much was the ants inside the room...it's like they are all over.
The location was good
Hotel was a building site (smelt like a paint factory, constant construction work)
The hotel was very clean and right across the street from the beach. For the price it is a good choice.
No issues.. the stay was pleasent.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. There were many restaurants as soon as you go downstairs.
Good price, location close to the beach.
Small but modern rooms. Not so great view.
The fact that its in Station 1 where it is more quiet is already a plus factor. Its also not so far from the restaurants and D'mall. You just cross the street and its already the beach.
We had a bit of bad luck due to weather and weren't able to make it to our hotel on time. The staff were very empathetic and helpful, making sure that my partner and I were safe. Unlike other hotels, I had no trouble getting in touch with them during a highly stressful time, I overheard other hotels turning off their phones/mobiles. When we finally made it to the hotel everything was perfect; we were greeted with smiles all around, welcome drinks were served and quick and professionally shown to our room. During our entire stay the entire staff were nothing short of amazing! Definitely will be staying here again :)
The only cons that I have about the hotel is that 1) they didn't have any ironing facilities, but then again we're at the beach so the fact that our clothes were a bit wrinkled didn't matter a lot. 2) they didn't have any hot compress. I am notorious for having a really temperamental tummy and needed a hot compress one night. The staff were really helpful though and it worked itself out in the end
a small and nice hotel. nice staff. breakfast was ok for a few days. location is very good. housekeeping was very quick - always cleened our room while we were at breakfast.
- WI-FI didn't work in the room at all - no network, and worked very slowly constantly failing in the common areas. - the room was very small and dump (we had "beach cabana") and didn't have a private balcony or window (our window was overlooking the common hall). everything in the room was wet. some guests were putting their clothes on the rails in the common area (not nice, but no choice left). - SECURITY. 1) the lock on the door didn't actually lock most of the times - would just make a locking noise. we had to doublecheck everytime. And a couple of times we had to call staff as the door just would not lock at all (our room was 206). once we came to the hotel and the door to our room was not locked after housekeeping cleened the room. 2) safe box in the room was not fixed to the wall or wardrobe. so basically it was a bit heavy but still easily movable box. - overpriced for just a 2 star hotel (we paid more than 100 USD per day). - they use a lot of some kind of spray for bed sheets and it is really stinky and hard to get rid of the smell.
The hotel is in a great location, right opposite the beach. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They provided to our every whim and questions. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was decent. Good value for room rate paid.
There were dead ants in our bathroom sink when we arrived, which was disappointing. We had an issue of accessing WiFi on the third floor, but there was some access available.
