Loved the view. The rustic rooms are like no other. Perfect location. Staff is friendly and helpful
Menu looks great until you try to order something. then you are told "sorry we don't have".
Food, virus, vibe
Really nice location, very accommodating staff as everywhere in the Philippines with many tourists. The rooms often a good idea but some are in serious bad shape. Room 4 is very nice, but if it smells permanently from cr, it is a live-in cr, in German "Wohnklo".
Top room with sideways seaview is an insolence: dirty, shower heater was not working, never worth a 3000 Pesos. Messy with booking price, intransparent, billing on credit card by a lettuce something company, never mentioned otherwise on booking.com, billing in usd not on the internet page.
I had a great time. Amazing location and design. Very friendly staff. Everything was perfect. Thank You
Less people than on the White Beach. Very quite place to stay, swim and sunbathe.
There are too many insects on beds everyday. The wifi here is not good and u can clearly hear what is said next door to u.
amazing location, open room, to the waterfront, getting into the ocean over a ladder at the restaurant/ bar, nice sitting area, just beautiful. definetly recommend staying there, its different from the standard hotels whcih you find everywhere. Food was good. Cocktails were really good. Prices were good. Just stayed one night (transferred to different hotels) so it didnt bother me that there was no AC in the rooms. Location: remote, away from all the tourists, that was really nice. but you are really fast at station 2 or 3. (small island :))
the waiters were not so observant, sometimes it took a while to make notice of oneself to order drinks, but still they were really friendly
We can see the ocean view. It's located by the sea.We really enjoyed stay there. We can feel wind, good music and atmosphere.I really like this atmosphere. When we asked them if we can use the internet ,the staff told me kindly. We wanna stay there again.
When we came back our hotel, the door already was locked. So we couldn't enter the hotel....And also foreighners couldn't enter there. They called staff ,and finally we could into our hotel.I think they should teach the closed time and how to into inside first.First imformation is the most important things. Please don't forget.
I like spider house resort , it's very natural and relaxing place .
The view from the hotel is gorgeous.
For the price I paid, I thought I would at least get a washroom inside. The shared washroom was very basic and not that close to the room. The room was REALLY HOT! for some reason we had to ask the staff to put a fan inside, our room didn't come with it. Also there were these insects that I found in our bed!! I thought my cousin was crazy when she said that she got bit by bloodsuckers on our first night, but I saw them the next day!! They were these black insects that looked like tiny leech. And it bit me on finger on our last night. It was painful for a few days.
Awesome blue green ocean view from sea facing rooms.. Probably will beat anybody's expectation who just went after looking photographs online. Awesome bar with awesome funky but relaxing music
Most rooms dont have 1 or two walls and are open to nature. So expect bugs, ants, spiders and lizards. But mostly harmless
What I love is the view because it is facing the ocean and the resort is more like basic Nipa hut style.
The mosquito net is the main problem because there are so many holes so that's why mosquitos can come in and it was very disappointing and give you discomfort.
The location was excellent, away from the hustle and bustle of the main busy area, amazing sunsets and excellent mango daiquiri's. The manager went out of his way to help us out.
The bathroom facilities are ok, its rustic.
Great view from the room Distance from sea and bunca Delicious food
No chaging towel (even they cleaned the room) No aircondition Weak wifi Not that good bed condition
Great location, Rooms have fabulous sea views Spacious rooms. Fairly basic but very unique architecture. Very laid back atmosphere. Great cocktails and good food.
Hotel staff (especially at reception) can be rude.
the resort's design is eco enough and the location is good for those who seeksome rest and relax at boracay. the sea water is crystal clear and even cleaner than the white beach.
the rooms are down and lack of well maintain. facilities are old and some even outof function. although it is meant for some eco feeling, however the room cleanliness should be priority. Other than the common lizards and Gecko, there're Bees, fire ants, earth worms (drop from silling from time to time), cockroaches, and crickets around in the room. hot water shower are not functioning well. not many choice on the menu for those who stay couples of days, guest will have to eat the same things everyday.
Amazing Place... with Amazing view, very cosy
Nothing, was perfect
Located in ocean is the best wonderful in Boracay. I can sleep with the sound of waves.
It needs to be more clean in the room from spider web and something like that.
Loved the breakfast menu, the ocean breeze, the unpopulated Diniwid Beach. The resident DJ was playing melo atmospheric beats.
Think there may have been bed bugs in the day bed. We didnt like having to leave...
When sitting at one of the sunset view points did the owner Allan describe SpiderHouse in one word... A fantasy! It truly is. Our room had a magnificent view and any of the bad reviews about this resort can be scrapped purely because of the views. Breakfast was amazing and they made the best omelets. You walk through a cave with a natural pool at high tide to get to this unique place. We had no bug problems, the bedding and towels were just fine and we had perfect weather and still did not have to use the fans once. Also the bar closes at 10 so there is no disturbances just the blissful sound of the ocean. Every time we told someone local where we were staying their face lit up. I can go on and on about this place, but I guess you just have to stay there for yourself.
Any complaints I might have can be overshadowed by just the views. But I guess this could make this already superb place even better. The staff were a very slow on service but the island life probably does that. There was some sort of stink at the back of the room, almost like drainage, but I noticed them making an effort in making the room smell nice.
The place is more of a hostel and I nothing like any "resort" I have stayed at. Location itself is nice, however customer service poor (except for Michelle who met met on our last day). Shower and toilet setup is a case of tinea / disease waiting to happen. Have stayed in Best Westerns for cheaper and much cleaner, without being abused.
Filthy rooms Used condom and dirty tissues stuffed inside desk lamp, disgusting! Also, owners son appears to have his social gatherings on the main deck right outside all the rooms each night, when it reached 1am I asked them to be fair and give it a rest. Owner's son and his disgusting fowl mouth threw enough profanities our way, simply for respectfully asking for quiet.
We really like that the entrance gave a really adventurous feeling- just like a pirate cave hole. Upon our arrival we got a complimentary drink each (with alcohol options). The room that we stayed in was one of three superior suites with a built in shower room and a kitchen area. Our view was the peak of the resort. I looked over the ocean and water. At the main restaurant, it was a very chilled spot. We even asked 8 of our friends that were staying in high class Boracay resorts to visit us and they loved Spiderhouse! They even tried something that I dared not to.... dove into the ocean on the dock! Overall, the staff were very friendly- from the front desk to the F&B department to house keeping and bells. They were all very helpful and kept a smiling face.
I was in constant battle with ants in the morning. At night time, even if the hotel provides mosquito nets... you need to spray on replant or else expect some bites. Our luggage were too BIG to be placed into a small cabinet. So were borrowed the hotel's pad locks to keep our things together.
noisy hotel, sea wave sound, Have mo privacy , people hear you and hear people outdide talking, mosquito every where , stsyed for three days the towel not changed, not suitable for family
View, tree-house structure, good bar, cheap food, great idea to connect the bar with entrance to the water, nice people.
toilets, no warm water in the shower in our room, not so good place to stay when raining, various bugz
