Spiderhouse Resort  

I like that it overlooks a great view of the sea. Guests can swim/snorkel from the area they have created infront of the bar. It was such an awesome experience :)

I didn't like that the sheets & covers had become thin & worn out from being used a lot over the years.Because of that I can literally smell the musty scent of sweat & dirt on the bed & pillow. Sheets could use some change.

Great property with an original concept. Very friendly staff. And the great sea.

Location is nice and the resort has a rustic charm that obviously appeal to some travelers. The restaurant area has a nice view and certain vibe. Food was good and most of staff were very nice, as most Filipino people are. shower and hot wáter quite nice.

Comfort level is according to the rustic theme, so don't expect airconditioner or cable TV even if rates are similar to other places that offered them. Need to sleep under the mosquito net. Hotel next door has the music level so loud, though that's not the resort's fault it was still quite annoying, particularly if wanting to relax or do some work. In our case, the room was so up on a treetop that we had to climb many stairs, some of them not completely stable.

Friendly staff. I love the place. Unforgettable experience.

The place is beautiful and has an amazing location. For those who don't mind about a rustic accommodation and like to be close to the nature this is a good choice. Our room has a pretty view to the sea and the communal deck is wonderful to relax and have some drinks. If you feel hot just go down the ladders and jump in the water.

Food is nothing special and takes a long time to arrive at your table. Staff are ok but don't expect any special attention. We had a problem with our payment (rates from booking.com where different than those from their website) and we had to talk a lot before get the right price but after all the owner accepted the rates from booking.com and we paid the price we ha agreeded to.

i stayed in Spider for 3 nights,which totally surprised me. staffs there were very nice and helpful.food is great, location is great ,everything is great for us.i will def go back if i ever come back to the island again.

My girlfriend and I (both mid 20's Chinese/English) just got back from spider house, we had a really wonderful time. Great lcation near the beautiful diniwid beach, the staff really make you feel at home, the views- especially sunset- are spectacular. Really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend.

Spiderhouse was fantastic! Located on the beach just north of White Beach, it allowed us to escape the commercial business of the main strip. Our suite was overhanging the water - stunning clear, clean blue water. Food was reasonably priced too, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Spiderhouse really gets it right, I'd recommend this to anyone!

Fantastic Room over the water completely open on 2 sides, walls and ceiling covered in native bamboo & brush matting, very large room. Its like living at home - a homely feel to it.

The Spider House was one of the best hotels we've stayed in so far. It's different, and it's not for everyone, but if you know what you're getting into, you will have a great time (we were there for 1 week)! It's located in Diniwid Beach, which is removed from the busier White Beach, and therefore provides a much more relaxed experience. It only takes a few minutes to get to town via trike. Everyone there is very nice, laid back and willing to give great tips for roaming around the area. The rooms are perfect in their simplicity - open to the ocean with great breezes and sunlight. If you are looking for a true beach vacation and a break from being constantly plugged in, this is the place for you. Dan, the manager, described it very well as a tree-house. It's all made of wood and bamboo, no real windows, no A/C, TV, mini-bar or any other modern convenience except for a bed, a couch, a fan, a mosquito net, bathroom and the entire ocean. This means you'll also be visited by mosquitoes and geckos once in a while but if you have mosquito repellent and you're not afraid of geckos, you'll be fine. Since it's all bamboo walls, you'll be able to hear everything, but that didn't bother us too much because the atmosphere is so great. During the first night the music in the lounge was running fairly late, but stopped as soon as we talked to Dan. He let us know it was not something regular (a guest had gotten married) and he made sure that we were happy the next day. Food wise, there's a nice little restaurant in the lounge, very simple cuisine, with fair prices. The juices and shakes are fresh and delicious. We loved the crew as well, they are all very nice and attentive. Overall, just wonderful, and we'll be back!

First of all, Dinivid. Cleaner than white beach, not very big, very soulful. Mama‘s grill, nami restaurant and such. Top places to eat on island (not cheap but it‘s worth it) In hotel: really nice view and probably the best music in boracay in the bar downstairs, hands down. Also u can jump into the ocean right from the bar :p Receptionist Heidy is very friendly and helpful. So do all the staff. Ok, rooms. We liked our 1st room (standard2) so much. Really close sea view) Special thanks to those who gave a part of their heart into this place making it so atmospheric.

Wi-fi. Actually mostly it doesn't work. So those who has any business for days staying on Boracay - do not rely on internet here. If just check inbox once a day - ok if you ready to check several htimes to find the minutes it works. Rooms - Being further in superior we are sure the previous standart one was much better. The superior we are living does have sea view only a bit and too noisy and not so cosy. (One part to the stair and trees that are in the room making so much noise!! Especially at nights. So take your room carefully. Noise - for those who are not friendly with life noise of other guests it can be not ok.

It is a hidden gem. I adored the Spider House. The Views, the sound of the ocean beneath you, the real traditional Philippine experience, the friendly staff & excellent management who are always smiling, easygoing, helpful and accommodating. The fact that it was a little removed from the main beach & noise but also close enough to walk if you wanted some action and nightlife.

The staff and Danny were great! We made a single suggestion while we were there and it was actioned in a heart beat! We really felt at ease here- a great escape from the business of White Beach and a very romantic place to spend the hours that comfort the sunset. If you can get over the sticky heat, you'll love it! If not, then you shouldn't go to the Philippines for a holiday!

I'm tall- so I had to watch out for the low beams. Also, there are occasional nails sticking up from the floor that would cause a bit of pain (though, you can push them back in with anything solid).

The location and views were awesome: nicely off the beaten track but not in the back of beyond.

You can hear everyone's business as the walls were made of umm, bamboo, but I'm kinda nosey so didn't mind.

The place was amazing! I had a wonderful time in Boracy thanks to the wonderful staff at Spiderhouse. They made us feel very comfortable and you almost felt like you were part of the family. I can't even begin to describe the view from our suite - it was beyond breathtaking. The walls are made completely of bamboo and it feels a bit like sleeping in a tree house but it was one of the most memorable hotels I have ever stayed in.

|f you are going to stay on Boracay and enjoy the nature - Diniwid beach is the best choise, and Spider House is the best hotel. It is easy to reach White beach (5 minutes) but Diniwid is much more private and calm. Spider House is very friendly and natural. Friendly staff, always smiling. Rhythmic sound of the waves. Crabs on the rocks. Open bungalow, but the temperature is the same 27-29 in the daytime and night. If you are searching for luxury - Shangri-la is a neigbour of Spider House, 500 meters of rock. Bamboo walls gives no too good soundproofing, you will find ubiquitous sand on the floor - but this is so romantic! You will never find the union with nature and with each other as in Spider House. My opinion is subjective, but Spider House is a really good place to stay. P.S. 5-7 minutes on tricycle to the centre. Small menu but tasty cousine.

This is the most amazing place I've ever been. Location and staff has made this stay one I never will forget. Away from the busy Whitebeach, but it is still just a small walk away if you crave the tourist-traps and nightlife. For me the hotel bar and restaurant met all my needs. Good food, great drinks and staff as friendly and social as can be made it the perfect recreational spot away from the crowd. Boracay is Boracay. Busy and full of tourists. I am not sure I ever would go back if it wasn't for the amazing staff and great accomandation at the Spiderhouse. This island is worth a visit just for the experience of their hospitality.

Amazingly beautiful open-air room, right over the water with fantastic views. Definitely one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in while travelling. Very romantic.

They were having some trouble with the water while we were there, so use of the sink/shower was sporadic. I am not sure if this is a common problem or a one time experience. There were bugs, not so many to really put us off, but it is called Spider house for a reason, spiders on the walk to the hotel and mosquitoes at night (they provide mosquito nets though)

Best place we've ever been! The location is great especially if you're after the quiet and relaxing side of Boracay, but still convenient if you'd like to party as a quick trike take you to the party area (it's 100 pesos per trip to town, but you could hitch hike on the return for 40 pesos for 2 people). Staff are friendly and the place is so chilled out, beautiful and pictures won't do this place justice. Oh, you can swim right from the bar's balcony and sip drinks watching the sunset.

Since the spider house is made of bamboo, and everything is open to the elements outside such as fog and rain, which left our clothes a bit damp in the mornings (which didn't bother us at all, just wanted to cover everything really), also you will just need to ask the staff for new beddings and towels in case you need new ones (which I think is nothing to complain about in terms of the price you paid for) .

我预定的房间跟实际上差别很大，因为入住的时候已经没有其他额外的房间可以选择，在国外联系BOOKING- 也比较困难，所以最后只好将就一下了

sehr stylisch (Cottage Style, alles aus Bambus in einen Berg gebaut), sehr gechillte Atmosphäre, direkt von der Spiderhouseterrasse kann man ins Wasser, wunderschöner Sandstrand nur ca. 5mins entfernt, gute Cocktails

sehr hellhörig, weniger Privatsphäre als in anderen Hotels, weniger etwas für Familien, eher für Backpacker oder junge Paare mit geringeren Ansprüchen hinsichtlich Komfort
