Stuff very friendly! Very clean for a hotel in the Philippines! Very save! Really good for european guests! Very good breakfast! Nice Bar on the top of the Hotel!

Location was nice, although Manila is an ugly place at the best of times.

Our air conditioning didnt work and we had to wait for 45 mins until they changed our room. It was our last night in the Philipines so we were pretty dissapointed.

Roof top restaurant.

Excellent location, I liked the fact that it was away from the hustle and bustle of Manila. Rooms were comfortable and nicely designed.

Seeing the wall of intramuros as a view from my window, taking a stroll to eat at 7-11 nearby,roaming around and tried local satay. These were such a nice experience.and yes I loveeeddd my room for sure

Stuff is excellent ,room quality almost 5 star (but no pool or gym or spa)but service quality is higher then 5 star everwhere is 2usd taxi ride away

Unlike Bangkok or other cities, Manila lacks good, cheap accommodation for leisure travelers. This harsh reality forces travelers to move either upmarket to business class hotels, or downmarket toward backpacker dives (which are great for some, but not all). The Bayleaf hotel is a good, reasonably priced business class hotel. It provided more amenities than I needed and therefore was a bit expensive for my purposes (I tend to stay in basic hotels when traveling for leisure, since all I do in them is sleep), but if I were traveling on business into that neighborhood, I'd choose it in a heartbeat! The rooftop bar is an outstanding place to watch the sun set over Manila Bay (locals recommended it). Since Manila doesn't have the kind of hotel I'd want, the Bayleaf is the best choice available- having more than you need is always better than less, even if you have to pay for it. It was clean, friendly and safe (with good churros right next door!), and in the perfect location to see historic Manila. You can find cheaper places, but my impression is that quality in Manila drops much faster than price as one moves down-market. If you require a degree of comfort when you travel and are not comfortable with things like shared bathrooms, then stay at the Bayleaf. You'll love it.

In Manila, traffic is such that you have to stay near where you want to go in the city. The Bayleaf is a great hotel, but it is geared for the business traveler, which means that it is a bit more than the average tourist needs. It's good value for money, but as a business hotel rather than for tourists. It's cheap by international standards, but not by local standards. Having said that, it's probably the best choice in Manila for the traveler who wants to be in Intramuros in a clean place with private bathrooms.

The staff at the hotel were excellent. From Karen at The Sky Deck, to Carlo the Exec Chef. The Bellservice and concierge crew were super friendly, as was Housekeeping (Carlo & Matt). it's the people that really make a big difference at The Bayleaf Intramuros

In general, traffic in Manila is daunting - while the hotel has a unique location in Intramuros, with traffic situation, that makes getting to other parts of the city (and back to the hotel thereafter) quite a big headache.

Very helpful, friendly and well-trained management and staff. Modern design. Reasonably-sized rooms. Good buffet breakfast. Splendid views from room and pentouse floor restaurants and bars. Ideally located for exploring Intramuros

Just some niggling little things, eg, only providing bath towel and no hand towel, no tissues. Haphazard wi-fi connection, no business centre or PC provision with internet access.

The rooms were new and clean and the roof terrace is very very nice. The breakfast was also very good.

They could not arrange for us to have a room with a double bed for me and my wife and it was a fight to get more than 1 wifi code as each one of us had a smartphone and a laptop.

They should improve the facilities with a gym and swimming pool.
