Staff, was helpful.
Not a big fan of the location.
I liked the evenings at the bar most, very nice chillout ambience while chatting with other guests, the German owner and Filipino manager. The location is a big plus too, on top of the very affordable guesthouse prices. A good place for bigger groups or families too. I felt save and the staff was very friendly too, also in regards to questions e.g. where to go etc.
Location is excellent for me, its walking distance to baywalk, mall, luneta park and intramuros(if u dont mind walking) but its a few mins. By taxi if you dont feel like walking, wanderers improved alot from the last time I was there interms of cleanliness.
Staffs are nice. Like their taste of music.
The dorm room needs to be cleaned more often
The place is good for backpackers. Meeting place for different people. Terrace bar is nice.
The toilet sometimes not properly clean. No wifi at rooms.
This place is perfect for budget-conscious travelers. That fun feeling when you stay in this place is really more than enough for the price you pay. The lounge overlooking the city lights is one of the best things about Wanderers, this is a place of relaxation in Manila. The food was also awesome specifically the salad, they serve it fresh.
New ownership and specially new manager is improving this place with historically bad reviews. Dorm bed was simple but comfortable. The manager was very friendly and welcoming; he even invited some guests for dinner. The common lounge area with its open air terrace is great
There is no hot water in the dorm showers. Not a big problem (because of the hot weather) but it is a surprise for the first 4 seconds (the manager is trying to change this though)
Need more cleanliness..surroundings very dirty. Staff must be look presentable in their uniform, because some are undress.
I was tired from a long day of traveling, we showed up late. The staff was very friendly and got us in our room right away. The room was extremely comfortable. Slept great and needed it. Next morning had a great breakfast, only stayed there for a short time, but will definitely be back!
Localisation in Malate Cheap Bar in the 5th floor, great place to chill and meet travellers
Dorms are a bit small for the number of beds
The only good thing that the hostel has is the very nice lounge that it has in its terrace.
Rooms have not windows (the most) and they smell really bad, they've not ventilation so it's hard to be inside. The bathroom is shared by several rooms and there were some cockroach in there. I'd rather prefer to go to other place.
Its accessible to local sceneries. Near to Robinsons Mall, then to Manila Zoo, Children's Park, Japanese and Chinese garden, Orchidaeium, Rizal Park, ocean park.. When you are in a tight budget, its a good place.. Plus if you are fun to stroll, this place suits well.
My room is not airconditioned, it just cost Php800 (Php900 for airconditioned). But its ok, its a choice though. :)
no wifi no tv
Cheap Pretty close to intramuros
Hot Smoke in public area
Good beds, white sheets, clean rooms, nice terrace, location
location is good, in walkg distance of most things, and near a metro stop.
as cheap as it is, it's still too expensive. No window, the fan doesn't even cool the room, the bathroom smells terrible. This room wouldn't be more than $10 anywhere else in south east asia. Manila is a horribly over priced, dirty city. Avoid Manila at all costs, not worth a visit.
