Excellent hotel with helpful and friendly staff, clean and very nice rooms, excellent breakfast with good selection. Location is next to the castle in an old restored watermill. Recommended.

Loved the fact that the hotel was originally a Mill and still has water streaming at the entrance. Also is in the perfect location, right next to the old Castle ruins and only minutes walk to the old town. Good sized rooms, very clean. Friendly staff and yummy breakfast! Loved this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Favourite hotel in Torun and continues to be the best option in the city. Location and setting are perfect. Consistent high standards across the board - staff, food and rooms.

Small hotel, full of charm. Very nice staff. Good restaurant with cheap prices. Strongly recommended for a romantic weekend.

Parking is guarded, but not closed and it's 100-150m away from the hotel (although in an old building in an old town it would be impossible to do better).

Everything - the food, the room, the staff, the location. The best hotel that I have stayed in when visiting Torun.

Hotel 1231 is a nicely restored mill in the historic medieval town of Torun. It is next to a small area of castle ruins and a few minutes walk to the center of town. Rooms are comfortable and clean, modern bathrooms. Very good restaurant and menu selection. Seating inside and outside --outside seating is under a section of one of the entrance gates to the city. Inviting bar to have a drink or coffee in big comfortable leather chairs. Very nice breakfast buffet. Very attractive building.

The staff of the hotel were very well trained and helpful. On our second evening there we felt they knew us. the knew what wine we ordered the night before etc.. The bedrooms were immaculate and bedlinen changed each day and well as the room cleaned and tidied.

It is quite small would be nice to have a sitting area other than the bar area to chill.

Loved this quirky hotel - the fact that it had a lot of character made it so much more appealing than some of the modern blocks that we so often see in cities. Great location in the old town and next to the river.

Rooms very clean and nicely decorated, the location was unique and ideal for visiting the city centre, the food was very, very good, the staff very helpful, internet connection excellent!

For a town the size of Torun, the price was a bit too high

The hotel is located in the central part of the old town which is very convenient for sightseeing, shopping visiting restaurants as well as for business purposes. The river embankment is also nearby and it is a nice place for walking and biking. There is a parking area close to the hotel. However, it is not really cheap. The hotel rooms have a good size and are nicely furnished. There is an excellent restaurant with a bar associated with the hotel where they serve a very good breakfast for hotel guests in the morning.

First-class lodging option. Excellent location within city walls, secure parking available for automobile, comfortable rooms with amenities. Would stay again when visiting Torun or surroundings.

Excellent Hotel! Fabulous location, clean and comfortable rooms with a definite 4 star feel. The staff were all friendly, efficient and helpful and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family and even an excellent venue for business seminars...
