The beds had bed bugs
* Location is not far from the city center; * There is a free parking place; * There are all needed equipment at kitchens.
* Beds and especially mattresses are not good enough, looks very cheap and old.
I booked a triple room, but they offered us a spacious room with 5 beds. The center of the city is reachable in 15 minutes by train.
Good location. Friendly staff.
Owners did eventually agree to refund one-way taxi fare from rail station in view of unavailability of free shuttle.
Hostel is nearly 2km from nearest tram stop and free shuttle service to Krakow rail station was not available as suggested. Hostel is a long way from Krakow centre and there appeared to be only one Italian restaurant and a Kebab stall (under the same ownership as the hostel) anywhere nearby. Saturday night rowdiness...no one on site to control, apart from guard dog that only added to the disturbance.
- very quite location - spacious room
Not far from the city, very kind people, helpful. HUGE rooms and a big bathtub in the common bathroom. We had a pleasant night :)
A dog in the garden surprised us ! but turned out it was nice :) + there wasn't always someone at the reception but they were never away for a long time.
All was great. I enjoyed staying in Magnolia. The owner is very nice and it was pleasant to talk with her. The room is clean and nice. The bathroom is very clean and comfortable too. There is a kitchen and a coffee for free. The part of the city is close to the center and very quiet. WiFi was fast enough. I recommend Magnolia and want to return here again. Thanks a lot for the owner!
Well equipped and not too far from the center (6stops by tram)
We reserved a single room with a double bed, but instead we were placed into a room with 8 beds! The lady in charge does not speek English, only Turkish. No chance to communicate and complain. The reception closes early. If you arrive after 7 p.m. you are not able to get in, since the front door is closed and the bell rings at the reception desk - where nobody seats. We could only pay with cash, because the terminal was not working.
Hostel is located in a quiet part of Krakow, 7 minutes away from train station, nice bath room, quite at night.
We booked a room for 2. Pictures on the site greatly differ from the "thing" we got (only the bed looked the same :) ), actually lady at the receiption was hardly speaking Polish and/or English. We've found a lot of black hairs under the pillows and blanket, the carpet was dirty, and smell in room was unpleasant as well, like they haven't opened windows for ages, moreover the location of the room was horrible, I am 99% sure that owners just deinstalled WCs demounted the wall, and "equiped" this "place" with carpet and bed. as we had 2 dors to enter, but 1 was locked + 2 windows.. Should check the other rooms, but wont recommend this hostel anybody at all..
New, big building, not in the centre but with good transportation (trams and buses), very big and comfortable rooms (we paid for double ad they gave us huge quadruple room), big and clean shared bathrooms and well equipped kitchen.
Most of the time there were no one in the reception, but you could find the owners in the building.
For this price really great
I booked a single room, however they gave me a very confortable room for 3 person！Besides，it was very convenient to go to the center，it was a little bit far away but you can take a bus.
Everything was excellent, good price, nice stuff, quite part of town
No hair dryer-but we borrow it from ozher guests
The staff was very helpfull
The beds are really not comfortable can do with thicker matresses.
We arrived late at night (2 am) and the owner was waiting for us. There was a parking lot on the territory available (prior reservation needed) so we left our car at the property and went to the center by public transport. The tram station is a 5 min walk from the hostel, the ticket (for 20 min which is enough) costs 2.80 zl. The room was nice, with chairs, a table and a wardrobe. There was a big bathroom with a shower cabin and a bathtub on the floor. Would stay there again.
The owner didn't speak English well but since I'm from Belarus and my boyfriend is Ukranian, we didn't have any problems with understanding Polish.
Very comfortable numbers for this price. Very good kitchen and bathroom. Good service. I recommend this hostel to travelers who want excellent accommodation for little money.
Difficult to get the location after 11 p.m.
Magnolia hostel is excellent place for students. It is best price and performance choice. I was feel like home at magnolia hostel.
Just maybe beds are could be more comfortable. But it is not bad too much.
+Close to the City center +Friendly staff +Perfect (new) bathroom
Everything clean and nice.
Very nice staff, even though they dont speak english :)
The staff is friendly. You get the map of Kraków at the front desk. It's very good value for money. The rooms aren't luxury but comfortable. Apart from WiFi connection which worked great we didn't use any facilities so I can't say anything about that. The location isn't bad. You can get to the city centre by tram in 20 minutes. There is a tram stop near the hostel (500 metres). There is no parking but you can park your car inside the premises next to the garage.
The receptionist was often away from the front desk. The bathroom could be a little cleaner. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay.
Extremely cheap, so in fact the complaints are very relative given the price.
Staff was friendly but communication was poor since they only spoke Polish. The toilet was very smelly and the bathroom poorly cleaned. They entered our room while we were gone and took out beds that we were using. One has to be aware that this is simply a big house where the owners rents out rooms but all facilities are shared with an undefinable crowd of friends/family members/fellow travellers. It is quite far out of town - about 25 mins by bike.
