[+] The Hotel is small, pretty new, and offers basic accommodation.
[+] The rooms feel and look a bit small, but it was large enough for two people, and basically we only used the hotel for sleeping.
[+] The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and large.
[+] Tram station 2 minutes from the hotel, the beautiful Amber Arena at a 5 minute walking distance (partially visible from our second floor room.)
[+] Quiet area.
[+] Free, open, and excellent WiFi, without any log-in nonsense or signal drops!
[-] The carpet in our room was more than stained.
[-] Pillow bit soft.
[-] Noisy guests!
I read about this, and I thought maybe it was a one time thing, until we were woken up at 3.30 in the morning by drunken laughing, screaming and loud talking under our window, in front of the hotel. It didn't stop until around 4.30 when the same guests retreated to their rooms, leaving their doors open and talking, laughing and shouting from one room to the other. Then slamming their doors... And then the following night again!
Very college-dorm-like, and totally disrespectful towards other guests!
I know maybe we should have complained, but we were more concerned about our health & safety than our sleep...
This is something the hotel management & staff really, seriously should look into, because we paid for nights, and this should not be in the accommodation package...
