...if you don't mind karaoke until 2 am. There is a bar on the same boat.
Simple bathroom facilities but that's what you expect on the boat...

Poor sight to the land side Shower Information provided on side is not correlates with what you have in reality.
Botel! Waves:) Silent

No available spare pillows, rooms very basic and small, bathrooms and showers outdated and in need of an upgrade.
The staff where hard working.

The boat was really full of spiders everywhere, in the toilets, in the rooms...In few of the nights that we spent there a child was screaming because of the presence of spiders in the room. If u are expecting a romantic place to stay like I was, my personal opinion is to choose another place.

hałas z restauracji, zimna woda w prysznicu.
wygodna lokalizacja, miła obsługa, niska cena.

They need to deal with the spider problem, bathrooms were dirty with mold in showers, would run out of toilet paper, locked down the whole boat at 10pm so we couldn't be out past that time or we would be locked out, they drained the sewage early in the morning and it smelt disgusting and was very noisy, beds are hard and caused back pain
we liked the prices of food the restaurant had, also the location was within walking distance to a lot of things

Everyone who came in after midnight, had to ring the bell. There was a lot of noise during the night. The bathrooms weren't that hygienic, but it's a boat after all...
Staff was realy very friendly and helpful! The bedrooms were relatively broad. It was close to the cosy Jewish quarter. The price is very nice :-)

I don't know where or when the pictures on booking.com were taken, but Barka Basia in real life looks nothing like the cute, romantic boat in the pictures. It was like a spider infested sauna with rock hard beds, no ventilation what so ever and half cleaned/half broken showers. The guy behind the counter was friendly, the other staff didn't even care to look you in the eye. We were there for 5 days and didn't get clean towels, only the raggedy ones we got when arriving. Not to mention the ten million spiders that were EVERYWHERE. I don't understand where Barka Basia get's the good reviews. The location is good, but there are much better hostels/hotels/bnb's in Krakau. Also, when we arrived we were under the impression we had already payed in full, but turns out you only pay for the reservation by credit card up front for precaution, then they send the money back to your account and you still have to pay for your stay when you arrive.
Location is good: 15-20 minute walk to old city centre, 5 minute walk to old jewish area

Nowhere it is written that there is a KARAOKE bar above your rooms. Moreover, there is a restaurant and the tables are right above your heads, so you can hear everything and everyone moving upstairs. If you want to get some sleep, it will be nearly impossible because of the noise coming from the restaurant and the KARAOKE. Apart from the horrible noise, they did not even try to clean the room of the spiders. The restaurant is the priority and I do not even understand how anyone can even offer this as a sleeping facility!!! If you want to sleep durign the day, then it is perfect...but after 9 PM it gets really loud. I would never go here again!
The room was as expected considering it was a boat. Also the spiders at the toilets were expected.

- The black-haired lady, who is supposedly the manager of the place, was the most obnoxious person we have had chance to meet while travelling around europe. Dealing with her was extremely difficult; her passive-aggressive, hostile attitude made us feel like we're not welcome in the hostel. - a member of the staff opened our room (while we were inside), realised her mistake, closed the door and carried on along the hallway - there are only 2 shared showers and just ONE sink (good luck with shaving in the morning)
- the cabins were rather clean.

Toilets and showers, but we were lucky enough to be there alone.
Location and price. Hard to beat.

There is a karaoke bar in the roof of the cabins and there is deafening noise until 3 a.m. on Saturday nights, making it impossible to sleep. Week nights were fine, though. The insane noise seems to be on Friday nights and Saturday nights.
Location is a 20 minute walk along the riverside promenade to Wawel Castle. It is a great route for jogging if you need to plan daily runs in Krakov. Seems like a safe location and quite scenic. Warm showers with good water pressure, comfortable beds in the cabins.

It is a little too far from the Old Town. Not able to get breakfast there or have the facility to make our own. Basic accommodation
Hot showers. Good value for money

-staff was virtually nonexistent. the existing staff has the bar/restaurant as a priority. -the rooms were not in the best of shape. window didn`t close in our room so it got pretty cold during the night. -you cant find anyone at the reception/bar until after 9-9.30 in the morning so there is no breakfast or coffe option for early starters
-close to most tourist attractions -easy to find -close to city parking spaces -the idea of sleeping on a boat

Hard to find food after 10pm.
It was on a boat. Quiet, cute rooms, fairly central location (once you can find it, Google maps wasn't much help...). On a boat.

Barka Basia is right on the Wisla River, so you get to stay in a very interesting environment, and just 15 min far from city center.

Totally surprised that this didn't happen to other travellers, but I am totally infuriated with my stay at this place. When booking this place, the idea of staying at a boat sounded perfect. I never go to hostels because I have a week sleep and hate people waking me up. For that reason, I chose one of their single bedrooms. Arriving at the boat, I was looking for the reception until somebody (employee or guest?) told me that the reception is actually the bar counter at the boat annex. The place looked almost totally unattended, wasn't it for the girl behind the bar counter (meaning, thieves can come and go as they please) As an experienced visitor to Eastern Europe, I know that Polish credit card machines offer the "convenience" to the customer of choosing between local or customer's currency, always at a rate favourable to THEM. Aware of the rip off, I was quite surprised that the lady at the bar/reception showed me an EUR amount asking me for my PIN, which I obviously declined, because I wanted to pay in local money. Doing little to conceal her irritation (throwing pen at the counter and other rude gestures), she phoned their credit card customer service, who said that machine had no such choice. I then reluctantly accepted. On the receipt, I realized later, one can read see "I the customer, acknowledge that I have been given the option between paying in local currency and my own currency", which is a lie. The bedroom itself was not bad, and reasonably clean. But half of the boat is quite exposed toa busy street, and privacy is obtained at detriment of ventilation, and on a hot day, the place is more like a sauna. There is a kitchen and a mixed bathroom, where you can see lots of spiders. I wasn't in Cracow for tourism, but more on a party weekend with friends. So at first, all the noise didn't annoy me so much. On my way out, I made sure I locked my bedroom well and left.

The bed sheet was too small, and we slept on the really scratchy surface (no mattress, sofa-like bed). I am not sure if the shared toilets and showers were being cleaned at all. It wasn't season yet, which might explain why guests weren't main focus yet.
Barka Basia is at an excellent location! It is very cosy to live in those cabins.
