I liked the location the good taste everything w fine
I did not like to stay at second building and all th e doors I had to ope
-perfect location, helpful stuff, lovely breakfast atmosphere and cozy little rooms. Would certainly stay there again, if back in Warsaw
Everything about the B&B was wonderful. All the staff, the fabulous breakfasts with great conversations...and The Chopin Salon with lovely recital was the icing on the cake. I would certainly recommend Jarek's establishment to anyone going to Warsaw.
Really there was not anything we didn't like.
The location is excellent - within walking distance of main attractions, and airport bus. Friendly and with an individual decor. Fine breakfast, and rapid (free) internet. There are even piano recitals every evening!
MINOR thing only: lack of sockets in the room...that's all, really :)
We stayed here in 2005 and loved it! We booked 4 nights again for this trip and ran into some problems. The location is good and the staff friendly. The group table at breakfast is nice as you get to talk to others about travel. However...
We booked a superior room which we chose from the photos and description on the website. We were charged for the superior room at time of booking several months ahead. When we arrived, we were shocked at the room we were given. It looked like a very poorly furnished college dormitory room! I thought I had made a mistake and checked my Booking.com reservation that night. The superior room was correct. When we talked to the staff the next day, we were told that the change in the room was because I had asked for a different bed size due to my husband's back problem. However, when we noted that we had been charged full price for the superior, the staff said she would look into it. We were told on day 3 of our stay that they would move us to another room or they would refund the difference so that we only paid for the inferior room. So, it was settled, but we were most unhappy at how it was handled in the first place. The owner did come to apologize, but the whole ordeal left us feeling quite unsatisfied. Had we not complained, we would have still paid full superior price for a very inferior room.
This B&B had a unique set-up. My room was with a group of rooms each with private baths & WC, and the group of rooms had their own entry and common room with fridge and kitchen sink. It would be a nice place for a family or group to have both privacy and still be together rather in a hotel setting. The breakfast room was close but had a separate entry.
The elevator was reached by climbing a full set of stairs. Not very accessible, although at arrival and departure, assistance with bags is provided. If you cannot do stairs easily, this would be difficult. I mentioned this to staff and they mentioned they may have other facility that would work.
Beautiful and very comfortable place in a very good location, within walking distance to major attractions. Very clean. Delicious organic breakfast! Would definitely recommend and will go back there one day.
nice bed good location fantastic staff breakfast you will remember (the food is nice, but the atmosphere is unique)
It simply feels like home...I really enjoyed it all
Loved the communal breakfasts around the table and the opportunity to chat to other travellers
The boutique ambiance worked. Breakfast was served on a long table making for a family feel and friendly conversation. The selection and quality of the food at breakfast was of a high standard. The accommodation is situated approx. 15 mins walk from the old town but only 2 mins walk to the main street, where there is a good selection of eating and drinking places. Public transport is well provided for with a train station, Warszawa Powisle, at the end of the street with a direct link to the airport, train S2, that runs every half hour. The 175 bus also services the airport.
We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms which was located facing the main street 2m above street level. The room had no air conditioning and it was necessary to sleep with the window open, except on Friday and Saturday nights when the noise of the party goers heading towards the train station became too much. The bath was half size with a shaped ledge to sit on, which only allowed for a small area to stand for a shower. The bathroom was dreary and need of decorating.
Nice and clean, good breakfast, great with classical concerts every day
Very small room and not so good bed.
the Whole building had style, tasteful period Furniture, great breakfast and then the daily piano concerts!
Staff Breakfast Room size and cleanliness Location
No AC Foot board on bed Effective fridge, but ineffective freezer
Perfect location. Next to main street of Warsaw. Big and cosy rooms. Every evening there are Chopin concerts (Chopin salon is located in the same building).
If you want to use a public parking next to the hotel, you need a lot of coins. I meant it. A LOT! All parking devices accept only coins and it is appoximately 30 pln per day.
very very nice breakfast
wlan didn't work
The apartment was lovely with the perfect combination of charming antique touches with modern conveniences. Loved the claw footed bathtub! Staff was very helpful with bike rental making sure we had the right bikes for us. Even pumped up the tires! Very good breakfast.
Early morning construction noise. Every morning at 0745. Liked the idea of one breakfast table to get to meet other visitors -but it was so long, no one could get in/out without asking the end sitter to get up.
all, but especially breakfast not only food but atmosphere
The breakfast with local products and info on their origin. Salon Chopin. The B&B decorated and equipped with style.
The living room had nearly no furniture so could not be really enjoyed. Fridge may need deicing. Missing explanations on the room names, photographs and pieces of art exposed that would allow further sharing on Polish history and tradition.
unusually warm, Fans a must
home- like atmosphere.Very nice Chopin concerts in the evening, specially for those who don't like to go out at night.
1.need to buzz the reception everytime we enter. It would be a problem for those who come back late. 2.Some rooms need to go through the courtyard. Inconvenient if it is bad winter weather. 3. No telephone in the room. It is important only if there is an emergency call from home in the middle of the night.
Atmosphere Salon atmosphere Breakfast spread Dinning room Evening concerts Proximity to Old Town and other interesting sites
Brilliant location and very thoughtful staff.
I would have liked bedside tables with lights to read by.
Close to downtown and "in"-areas Daily inhouse classic concerts Great breakfast and interesting people Excellent City tour on bike with art student Monika to special places Absolut clean rooms, hotel shoes and every day bottle of water Absolutely quiet even close to attractions Best decision to stay here instead of a hotel
This hotel was so close to everything. We really enjoyed meeting people over breakfast in the morning. Monika, the tour guide, also was great with suggestions of things to do that aren't found in guidebooks.
