All of Gdansk’s Old Town and its many museums, galleries and famous buildings are within walking distance.
The crane over the Motlawa River (0.2 km) – Gdansk is the Polish maritime capital and the crane is one of its oldest and most famous landmarks. The crane once played a double role as a port crane and as Gdansk’s city gate. It has been in its present form since 1442-1444. The machinery of the crane is driven by a huge wooden wheel inside it, which was powered by men walking on it, like a giant hamster wheel. The crane was not only used to unload and reload cargo, it was also used to put up ships’ masts.

Proximity to centre of Gdansk, breakfast excellent, free wifi, car park for guests- although not guarded - was locked. Also size of apartments ( 5 and 6 ) were very good. Would be more than happy to stay here at any future visits to Gdansk Only very minor detail - more english tv channels could be good |

Fantastic hotel, really good value, in a great, central location. Gdansk itself is a much under rated European city getaway, rich in history and culture - it is also extremely safe to walk around, much safe than most parts of London - and hotel Dom Aktora is the ideal touring base with its apartment style accommodation. Can't recommend it highly enough. Just that we couldn't stay longer! |

In the hall way here should be hooks to hang coats, otherwise they are placed on the backs of chairs. Otherwise it was excellent |

The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help us with any questions we had. The hotel is very close to the Old Town and the river and there are many cafes and restaurants nearby. There are only a few rooms, making the hotel very cozy and intimate and every room is a suite. We had two bedrooms and our own kitchen and bath, of course. The bathroom was newly renovated. |

Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfbereit, gute Betreuung. Frühstück völlig ausreichend, wenn etwas fehlte wurde es sofort wieder aufgefüllt. Sehr gute Lage - keine 3 Minuten von der Altstadt entfernt. Kurzum sehr zu empfehlen! |

Frukosten var god och bra. Bra frukostvärdinna ,hon hade koll hela tiden. Lugnt och skönt på hotellet. Det var kallt i rummen. Ingen värme i elementen!! |
