Live music performance of Jewish music in the evening and good evening food Room allocated was small and one floor up from last stop of lift at the end of the corridor. Breakfast was uninspiring. Parking is not free as advertised (25-40 pln per day)

Gorgeous decor, very comfortable bed and a powerful big shower I was disappointed with breakfast. We went down at 9 everyday (finished at 11) and there were dirty plates on tables and not much food left. However on the last day we went at 8 and they were much more attentive.

We found the hotel very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Had read before departing some comments on your feedback page and noted some people complained about breakfast but we were perfectly happy with everything about the hotel. No complaints at all.

It's located in the Jewish quarter of Krakow. We got the train from the airport to the centre of Krakow (20 zlotys for 2 tickets - buy on train). The train station is under a shopping centre (fab!). Then got a taxi to Hotel Ester (10zl). It is a good 15 minute walk to the busy market square located near the Wawel Castle, but there are lots of little shops on the way and it always seems really busy on the streets. The hotel itself is cosy (we had to turn off the air-conditioning at night, as was maybe too warm!). We had dumplings served the room on our first night, very tasty...but then went to Zsara Restaurant on the second nite...which was fabulous - 3 course, wine for about £30 each! 2 star Mitchelin as well... Would really recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Krakow.

The staff were friendly and approachable. The room was always beautifully clean and tidied every day with fresh towels. The breakfast was poor. The coffee was terrible, no toast at all (not even a toaster in sight). When the bread came it was not fresh. There was a good selection of cold meat and cheese and you could have cooked eggs, but no museli. No one came to ask if you had enough, if everything was all right or anything. Also I don't understand why we had to pay the whole amount in advance.

We had a lovely room with a tub big enough for two! But the best part was, the hotel allows pets, so my beloved Scottish Terrier could travel with us. It is not far from the main square, and the area is a lovely historical setting. The service is good. We were there over the Chirstmas holidays and they called around to find us a restaurant. Very helpful.

I have just returned from my first visit to Krackov. Hotel Ester was an excellent choice of hotel, very clean, freindly staff food was fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel. Located in the Heart of Jewish District in Szeroka Square and next door to Aierl Restaurent (will is a must for food). Nearly all the places of interest on the Jewish walking route. Many other very good restaurents nearby, it is 100 yards to tram stop if your mobility is limited and 10-15 minute walk from main square. Also 150 yards from Jewish market square where local food and entertainment is situated. Atm located next to hotel. Checkout is 12am which is really good!!! This hotel is excellent value for money. My father and I travelled with a group and all 24 were highly complementary of the hotel and its facitities. I hope to return with my family next year dv and will definately choose this hotel again. If you choose this hotel you will not be disapointed. Booking.com had the best rates too.

The hotel is very cosy, the only issue I would stress out being the price / quality ratio. As long as you can get a room in the interval 70 - 90 Euro / night I guess it is fine, if we talk about 130-150 then there are other superior options.

Location was terrific, staff outstanding and the breakfast was terrific. Though not located in the heart of the city it was central to the Jewish District and a short walk (safe neighborhood) to downtown. Room #20 shower drain is stopped up.

Pleasant staff, good service, clean cumfortable room and adequate breakfast. Good bathroom but the bath was so small I could hardly get in it and the hand shower in the bath did not have a bracket to hang it on so you had to hold it all the time. Very difficult to shower or bath.

I found the location to be very convenient. The staff were excellent and always available to answer questions and help with arrangements. The rooms were very comfortable. The dinner menu was not attractive to our group. Unfortunately we choose not to have our evening meals there. Satelite television was advertised but it didn't appear to be available.

Excellent situation, good service, but the hotel is definitely not worth for four stars. Three stars is absolutely enough for this hotel. The quality of the breakfast was poor. The coffee and juices were tasteless. It seemed that they do not wash the frying pans, as the eggs were black underneath – and upside. Regardless our order bacon was available first on the fourth morning. The room was rather small. There was a satellite channel, but only one (sky news). The bathroom had been modernized, but there was not enough space for the necessaries of two persons. Only one small shelf, size 80 x 20cm. No glasses in the bathroom for tooth brushes. After request we received two plastic ones, which were far too light for keeping toothbrushes in. So we went to the bar in the neighborhood and bought two solid drinking glasses and placed them on the bathroom self. But the cleaning staff took them away!

“The professional but very friendly staff, who spoke good English and were very helpful. Loved the patio area outside, and the food was very good. The location in the heart of Kasimierz was fantastic, full of atmosphere and charm. Sitting outside the hotel, sipping a lovely Polish beer, listening to the Klezmer music on a balmy summer evening - it doesnt get any better!!” Jeremy, South Perrott, Beaminster, Dorset |
