Grand Hotel    

I loved the location of the room and the room was a large two room suite.

I didn't like that there wasn't one big bed, but just two smaller beds.

We were upgraded to a suite with two separate rooms and a bedroom with an attractive beamed high ceiling. We were fortunate in that our room had a fixed shower over the bath but most rooms apparently do not. Breakfast was a bit slow if you wanted eggs cooked and chef only had one cooking stove. The fruit selection was adequate but perhaps not 5 star.

Apparently only a few rooms have an integral shower and our fellow travellers (booked through another site) only had a hand-held shower over the bath. I would say they need to upgrade their shower facilities to justify their 5 star rating.

The building and location are fantastic. Staff are very friendly and always available.

No bar open for residents for a nightcap. Noise from the streets outside at all hours in the morning is not ideal.

The friendliness of the staff at the front desk when after travelling all day is great and it is really genuine. The room for both my wife and i was fantastic. The breakfast was very good and as good as you would get anywhere.The breakfast chef makes a fantastic omelette..please try it. I have to mention the door men they are very helpful. The breakfast staff are so efficient and professional. We highly recommend the grand hotel for a stay in krakow and the location alone is convenient to get to get around. I notice that some people complained of noise at night to us it did not matter because we turned on the air conditioning and closed the windows and slept well Gerry

The location is excellent - only a short walk to the central marketplace. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. I highly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was more than excellent. Location is perfect. Friendly staff and management of the hotel - they allowed me to cancel or reschedule my stay with 1 day notice even though I did not choose to insure my initial reservation.

No toothpaste in the room ;)

Old and dirty carpeting, starting from main hall. Especially in the our room 67. It's unacceptable for hotel price 100 Euro\night

Excellent very friendly and polite staff (a special thank you to Magdalena Bogdan on Reception who shone out as exceptional from the very first contact by email). Everything clean and tidy, everything worked and did not have to make any requests. Also, although Daniel is not a direct employee, the trips booked via reception using Daniel were excellent. He deserves credit for his friendly knowledgeable tours and willingness to tailor the trip to the customer's wishes.

Restaurant menu had an insufficient selection on choice. Could also cater for vegetarians better. Would also be good to have a bar menu where you can get smaller quicker warm snacks or sandwiches.

The location is very good for getting to the main square, the hotel has lots of character.

The location does mean that there can be quite a bit of noise at night. At times the hotel did seem to be understaffed, particularly on reception and for room service.

The location was perfect. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.

The decor in the bedroom was a bit tired . The bed was not very comfortable. The shower was very weak

Fabulous is the only way to describe this hotel. The transfers to an from the hotel were first professional and on time. Arrival at the hotel was anticipated with door staff ready with the door open and cases loaded ready for transfer to your room. The reception staff were faultless and friendly. The hotel is a beautiful and could not be better positioned. The breakfast food and restaurant was first class with a comprehensive menu. We will be returning to Krakow and would not think of staying any where else.

Excellent location (1 block from the market square). Clean, comfortable, good staff, good breakfast. Classical old-style furnitures; personally I am not a fun, but I believe it might be appreciated for lovers of the genre.

Internet is not free and the gym is being renovated, thus not available. Both info should be communicated to Booking.com and indicated as part of the hotel info.

Staff very welcoming and spoke very good English. They were also very helpful about organising local trips. Being up-graded to a superior room was a pleasant surprise.

That they organised us a trip to visit the castle but hadn't checked before hand to make sure it was open therefore when we got there it was closed to visitors.
