Location. Room size. Cleanliness.
Hotel decor a bit tired and very dated. Breakfast poor - not enough tables, staff not re-stocking food & glasses quick enough. need more fresh fruit selection. Bathroom & Bath very small for the size of room. Not enough pillows. Not enough Wardrobe Space or Hangers provided (fro size of room). No Milk provided for Tea making. Bed too low. Requested early morning Call but never got it ! Restaurant needs jazzing up for evenings.
The hotel interior as well as the rooms are lovely with high ceilings and beautiful furniture and paintings. The location is also very close to the Main Square.
Very noisy at night as there are some bars around. Also quite a late check in being 4pm.
Location and friendliness of staff
Facilities behind the times, especially for 5 star.
Beautiful marble walls in the reception room and generally on the ground floor Very large rooms and high ceilings. Good selection of food for the breakfast, but no croissants provided A very relaxing and comfortable hotel, close to the main market square
They did not provide up to date newspapers in English. More international TV channels could have been provided - there were only 2, CNN and France24.
The hotel is a bit dated but that is all part of the charm which is an intrinsic part of staying in the old town. After a 3 night stay, I would happily go back to the Grand.
Very near to main square and some excellent restaurants Beds very comfortable Receptionists very helpful
Wi Fi virtually non existant Poor quality breakfasts Rooms need updating Almost no bathroom toiletries Air conditioning too noisy to sleep
Everything. I will recommend the Grand Hotel to everybody, but without breakfast
The breakfast is not what you expect in a 5 star hotel.
Fantastic staff and great location. One block from the main square, and with a supermarket, ATM and coffee shops right across the street. Great breakfast buffee included in the price. Very cool experience staying in a building dating back several centuries, that is still very well preserved.
No pool or spa in the hotel.
Location to the main square. Very helpful hotel staff. An excellent buffet breakfast, hot and cold food. if you arrive in Kracow by train. Its only about a 10 min walk to the hotel.
One small gripe was that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedrooms.I was told this was due to the city council not agreeing to it for health and safety reasons!!
location quiet room staff ball room - stunning
beautiful main dinning room / ball room not in use breakfast on one day was a total disaster staff not informing us about the gym nor the dance contest and lessons happening in the hotel duvets need to be good quality COTTON!
Short of trained staff, terrible room service, expensive car park
Location just off main square. Very friendly and helpful staff with good English. Good breakfast.
Had to keep window shut at night because of noise from street but air con worked well.
We loved the old world atmosphere and the closeness to Old Town, restaurants and shopping.
We have no complaints
Superb location. Friendly and devoted staff. Good cleanliness. Ok breakfast.
Not a 5 star hotel. Bad A/C. A bit noise from the night club across the street.
Very helpful staff Upgraded after initial room had problems Wonderful location
Initial room had very poor air conditioning Unacceptable wifi/internet No toiletries in bathroom
Location is nice during daylight, the decor is old charm.
The hotel smells old, staff are not very friendly but we learned that since they do not feel comfortable, speaking English, they just speak the minimun. Even though is a great location, it is next to a bar that closes at 4 am....you hear EVERYONE coming out of the bar.... The laundry service is 2 days not same day.....
Location, one street back from Krakow's main square is excellent for accessing the old town. It's a grand old building, beautifully restored, interesting and quite atmospheric. Pleasant, cheerful staff.
The location, unfortunately, also means all night street noise of revellers; try to book a room looking into the hotel interior and take ear plugs. Stone cold breakfast. One two-slice toaster for the whole clientele. No tea/coffee making facilities (although a kettle was provided on request.) In fact, no facilities which a 5 star hotel might be expected to provide. Thin mattress. I have marked this hotel rather harshly simply because of it's supposed 5 star rating and the cost.
location, standard of room,staff
air- con certainly didnt work properly,w i fi didnt always work breakfast was poor -
Internet was poor and worked only intermittently from the room
A little bit dated but has a lot of old world charm. Location is 2 Blocks off the Old Market Square, excellent! Staff was great, very helpful. The breakfast was good.
Showing signs of age.
We stayed here principally as we required a babysitter for our 2 year old (precocious) daughter. Mira, the babysitter provided by the hotel, was simply beyond amazing - we all adored her. In a way she encapsulated everything about the hotel - professional, personable, warm and generally outstanding. Cannot recommend highly enough.
If returning to same area I will use hotel
Great location.Hotel very charming inside.
Rooms too small, not very comfortable.Breakfast simple, nothing special. As for comforts hotel is overpriced.
