Location of hotel is excellent. Very attentive professional staff. Rooms spacious warm and comfortable. Thankyou.
Breakfast service was absolutely terrible.
Breakfast was very good.
They were painting the walls in our floor !
No tea and coffee making facility in the room was disappointing
it was all grand as in the title
only thing i didn't like were the small duvets but excelent
On arrival at The Grand Hotel we were informed that we would be getting an upgrade to our room. What we weren't expecting was to be upgraded to an apartment. It was a beautiful apartment furnished in keeping with the style of the building. The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was excellent.
The shower over the bath wasn't brilliant especially considering our upgrade and the bath was so deep that getting in and out proved to be quite difficult.
Absolutely fantastic location, and décor of the hotel was very grand. We were given a complimentary upgrade which was fabulous.
The rooms can be quite noisy from the street.
Excellent staff - lovely building. Central for everything - great breakfasts!
The fact that we had asked for a room away from the street. The streets are incredibly noisy at night. The staff were brilliant.
Location Friendliness of staff
Hair drier not powerful enough?
Palace suite is amazing and as a President croissant I know what I am talking about
The friendly and attentive staff.
The late night and early morning street noise.
Very very shabby Beds hard Towels grey and hard No tissues in room Breakfast a bit random as to what was out on the buffet table Chose not to return as planned at the end of our stay
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed during weekdays and requested room at the back. So it was very quiet.
There was nothing to dislike.
Upgraded to fantastic suite because we mentioned our special occasion. Receptionists were totally fluent in English and happy to converse in either Polish or English to help or explain. Very helpful with taxi booking and transfer to airport. Breakfast good quality and good choice of buffet. All staff well presented and polite. Concierge polite and natural- not pushy with luggage etc. Hotel is less modern in design but they really keep it looking fresh. I loved the decor and character of the hotel and it wasn't trying to be anything other than a traditional hotel with traditional grand decor of another time. I could imagine people wearing grand clothing with painted white faces enjoying a masquerade ball in times past. Literally 2 mins walk from main square.
Nothing. Really enjoyed our stay. Wish it could have been for longer.
All the staff at the hotel were lovely and very helpful. We were very lucky to get a room upgrade to an amazing suite! Everything was clean and working. The hotel is very central and its easy to get to the train and all the sights in krakow.
There were no downsides!
All good chocolates and slippers nice touch. Nothing too much trouble. Great selection at breakfast
Hotel was Oposite a bar which people may find noisy. I didn't
Service Breakfast Interior of hotel Room size
Poor Wifi No British TV No kettle
Quiet and comfortable and ideally located
Location. Room size. Cleanliness.
Hotel decor a bit tired and very dated. Breakfast poor - not enough tables, staff not re-stocking food & glasses quick enough. need more fresh fruit selection. Bathroom & Bath very small for the size of room. Not enough pillows. Not enough Wardrobe Space or Hangers provided (fro size of room). No Milk provided for Tea making. Bed too low. Requested early morning Call but never got it ! Restaurant needs jazzing up for evenings.
The hotel interior as well as the rooms are lovely with high ceilings and beautiful furniture and paintings. The location is also very close to the Main Square.
Very noisy at night as there are some bars around. Also quite a late check in being 4pm.
Free upgrade to a suite. Thank you. The friendly, efficient way Elizabeita helped us to contact our bank in the UK when we had a prblem with an ATM. The machine issued a coupon for 500 Zloty but no cash!!! Elizabeita quietly and with understanding contacted our UK bank and the Polish bank. The management of the Grand Hotel take note. You have a brilliant ambassador working for you there.
Location and friendliness of staff
Facilities behind the times, especially for 5 star.
Beautiful marble walls in the reception room and generally on the ground floor Very large rooms and high ceilings. Good selection of food for the breakfast, but no croissants provided A very relaxing and comfortable hotel, close to the main market square
They did not provide up to date newspapers in English. More international TV channels could have been provided - there were only 2, CNN and France24.
