Hotel Gródek  

The close proximitly to the centre of Kracow and the train station. Although it was fairly central it was also very quiet. The staff were very good and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Disappointly there were two major problems with this hotel for us. One was the mattress, it was to soft and therefore very uncomfortable and left us with sore backs. Unfortunately my husband got mild food poisoning. We had had our evening meal the day before and breakfast in the hotel on the day he was unwell so it has to have come from something he ate in the hotel. The hotel was also a touch too hot but in the end the temperature dropped and it was okay. I would recommend this hotel again but only if the problems were fixed.

Everything we wanted good location ,clean, helpful staff, good breakfast all at a fair price when in krakow we'll stay here again

Everything was perfect, this is a great hotel in a perfect location only a few minutes walk from the main square. The restaurant was excellent and the breakfasts were first class, all the staff were very helpful and I would definatley recommend this hotel.

The rooms are clean and comfortable.

The staff and the overall service is not good compared to other 5 star hotels. The location is ok because it is near the city center but the street is not charming.

The conveience of the location of the hotel is perfect, you could be in the main square of the old town in minutes. The hotel is beautiful on a quiet street and the breakfast was delicious. The incorporation of the artifacts found while renovating were displayed beautifully. We loved our stay and would recommend the hotel - great.. The bar in the lower level was warm and beautiful a perfect place for a drink after a day of walking.

The room was a little small but adequate - the bathroom was very modern and bright.

This is a well run charming small hotel in an ideal location with friendly helpful staff and a good restaurant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Gródek. The rooms were very comfortable, well equipped, and the service from the front desk staff was always exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful in the morning, and dinner on two nights was excellent, with the hotel restaurant offering an imaginative menu. The location is near perfect, only a few minutes walk away from the main market square in Krakow and all the sights, while tucked away in a small side street and away from the hustle and bustle of the large crowds of tourists that throng the old town every day.

Loved the location and it was quiet right on the Planty. close to great restaurants in the centrum area. Breakfast was great, lots of good choices, even had Chocolate Croissant one morning!. Service was excellent from all staff. Doorman escorted us to the parking lot, Front desk staff were very helpful.

Lovely hotel! One small caveat - Room 101 should never be given to a senior couple. The fact that the bed was raised three steps above floor level, generated a dangerous situation for a older person getting out of the bed at night. Either they might miss the first step, and if they slipped, a grip on the wall might help break their fall. We requested a change of room and were immediately mooved to room 102, which was much more comfortable for us.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Couldn't fault it. Staff, comfort, cleanliness all perfect. We stayed during a particularly cold spell (- 17c) and the library with it's real log fire was just heaven to relax in. What a gem!

Just got back from a 3 night stay at Hotel Grodek, had an amazing time ... the hotel was better than I expected and me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our stay ... Room was spotless, breakfast in the morning was brilliant and the staff were always on hand and often going above there duties to make sure guests were catered for. Location was brilliant with the hotel only being a few minutes from the main square and I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family ... thankyou for a great weekend.

It was very comfortable and warm, -18C outside but did not feel cold indoors. The breakfast room was spotless and very elegant. Food was well presented with a good selection. Service was excellent. The location was perfect, a few minutes' walk to the town square and the many bars and restaurants in that area. We would stay here again.

Some more specific directions on how to find the hotel when coming from the train station or airport would be appreciated - it took us quite a while to find it and few local people seemed to recognise the street name.
