Visited and toured the Old Town -Castle area which is beautiful, filled with lovely buildings and shops and a very impressive castle. Went to the old Jewish Quarter, Kazimeriz, which is a 600 year old Jewish community mostly in tact although there are very few Jews left in Poland. Visited several surrounding towns ( saw my great grandmother's grave stone in Bedzin with great scenery and of historical interest not limited just to wwii. Rode the train to Warsaw, that was a very interesting 3 hour trip with lots of great country views and insight into how Europeans travel. Good food, restaurants, very safe even at night on your own and the locals are very kind to tourist . Many have some ability to speak English and try to help even when they can'T. Wish I could have stayed longer than 2.5 days. If you need a guide Jakub Czuprynski is the right one for you. Email him! It was damp at night due I think due to excessive humidity in the a/c system. Otherwise the location was fabulous- walk to everything in a few minutes- the staff great and the restaurant pricey but worty a dinner of duck w/a fruit sauce potato pancakes.Yummo

Convenient location, helpful staff, clean and cozy room, no noise. The fee for web-traffic was included on my booking. There is a small souvenir shop near hotel where my wife made some purchases. By the way, there are a small electric boiler and some tea-bags in the room - sometimes hot tea is very well after walk. So, all was very good.

Holiday Inn's location is great-less than 10 mins easy walk from the main square. Helpful staff provided clear information on tours, airport transfers and facilities available. The buffet breakfast offers a wide choice. We also enjoyed the cafe/brasserie for lunch and snacks with its relaxing outdoor seating space. Our single rooms were spacious and quiet and cleaned to a very high standard. We would definitely recommend this hotel to tourists or business travellers. Nothing specific springs to mind. As part of an international chain, the Holiday Inn in Krakow fits the standard expected.

The staff were very helpful. The location is excellant and as is desribed on the web site. We also enjoyed the breakafsts. Regrettably the room furniture did let the Hotel down. The shower door/screen does not quite fit or shut properly, the curtains fell down and the Safe was out of order, and other problems.

The Hotel is local to all amenities, but the mini gym was a big letdown, only 3 machines in there two of which were not working, this hotel is certainly not a 5 star hotel even in Polish standards.
