The convenience to public transport ( tram and bus links ) and the proximity to old town ( within 15mins walk ) The service and cleanliness is much better then a 2 star rating would normally deliver. This chain represents good value for money and always clean and friendly service.

Breakfast was more of a european breakfast not hot english which I prefer but it was only 29pln so was still good value.

We've stayed at Ibis Warszawa Stare Miasto for two times. The hotel is not excellent, but nevertheless we preferred to stay here after checking all the suggestions at booking.com. Our reasons are: 1. Location is great for 1 or 2 days trip to the city - near the historical center Stare Maisto and with easy approach to other places of interest 2. The price is good 3. Good parking in the underground parking garage at the price of 60 PLN for 24 hours (you can easily leave your car in the hotel and go for a walk by foot, you don't need to take your car at check-out time)

1. The rooms need to be refreshed 2. No mini-bar 3. Not a cubby-house, just sleep, take a shower and go out

Stayed here during European Chess Championship. Nice.

no hairdryer in the room

Location of the hotel is good, close to downtown and biggest shopping mall. Price was acceptable for comfort and location I got but still many basic things like cleanliness to be improved.

Everything was acceptable except the cleanliness of the room, especial bathroom, I still could see yellow dots on the toilet and hair in the bathroom from person who was there before me. Hotel staff were fair but still not kind enough, for such small thing as a receipt from their exchange office I had to fight with them, not nice at all.

Reception was very good.

All self-descriptions of the hotel accurate to a dot. Nice mix of local and foreign guests, two free internet stations for those without laptops.

Would have been nice to have a tea pot in the room

It has air-conditioned rooms!!! Reasonable price. Free internet access and 15-minute use computers in lobby. Good TV reception. Near bus stop and walking distance to new/old town. Nice table along window to work from. Staff helpful, called taxi for me. Bakery across the street if don't opt for hotel buffet.

Beds firm, would have liked a second pillow. No clock in room. My room smelled like smoke when I got back one evening...even though should be non-smoking floor. Staff friendly, but gave wrong directions twice.

Freezing money on your bank account when you check-in

Good location, close to the Old City. My room 'almost' met standards of a *** hotel. If they made some more effort this would be really quite a recommendable place to stay.

There are however some bothering details: -- It could be a bit cleaner, especially in the bathroom. The building is new (or renovated) and is not rotten. Just a bit dirty, like the cleaning staff did not really take care. -- There was a bit [ a bit ] of unpleasant strange smell in my bathroom, like something was wrong with the plumbing . -- The wireless signal was so weak that it was next to impossible to reach the internet. -- The TV remote control did not work.

The rate and near the old city

Smart, very clean and peaceful hotel, much more than two stars. Nice location next to the old city and all necessary equipment in the rooms.
